Very poor food spesialy the chips looks like the day before burning chips and so dry the mince fat cake taste like raw curry fat cake no taste and it's not the first time staff talk to much
I recently visited Fat Cake City Newlands and was extremely disappointed by my experience. The presence of numerous cockroaches crawling around the floor was not only disgusting but also concerning regarding hygiene standards. Additionally, the placement of their generator outside the store suggests a lack of adherence to safety protocols, potentially jeopardizing both staff and customer well-being. The proximity of a Hearing Practice nearby raises further questions about their operational disruptions. Overall, I cannot in good conscience recommend supporting this establishment, especially considering the rude and unhelpful attitude of the staff.
It's a wonder that the health department hasn't shut this outlet down yet. The amount of cockroaches peeling from this store is horrendous. Please do something about this!
Not sure how you guys are still selling food. Food quality is non existent. Waited 30min for food.

Been with my company colleagues for 3 days at the guest house..what an experience...amazing food..amazing rooms..brilliant client service from Bomgami and Alfred. What an absolute gem of a place..I bef of anyone to use this venue. Keep going guys

Forgot my corndog for the 2nd time. They used to use good normal gouda cheese in the beginning for the vet koek, but now they use that cheap plastic cheese and only give you one piece of that cheap cheese. Owner is a hog and is only after money. Has absolutely no interest in keeping customers around. This is how a place is run into the ground.
Nice Curry mince vetkoek. Soft chips. Bit more crispy would've been nice. For what you pay, we'll worth a quick lunch.
I'm always buying food there but there is this cashier by. The name of Madeleine this girl is not treating customers right last time when I went there I was waiting for my order I tried giving her my slip she just looked at me she helped 4 customers that came after me and never helped me she is so rude me and my colleague used to buy there everyday but since she is giving us attitudes we are no longer buying there

Excellent guest house. Very friendly staff. Lovely restaurant, The Peppertree and the food is delicious. Very good location.
Waited 35 minutes for the food to be burned and ice cold . Ladies at the till playing on their phone.

Worst service ever, staff have an attitude. wanted my money back before they put the order through and they refused. Took my slip and did not make my food. So staff stealing my money and when we wanted a manager they are not there and asked for the owners details and they refused to give us any details or my money back.
Just Bought Bunny chow Vetkoek from them, a large and a medium... the worst ever... ate and tasted like the food was sour or poured full of Vinegar.
The front staff was ok but really you pay so much for food you would expect better, seems to me this is just how the food is there... hope I don't get sick from what I ate ... threw the rest away.... dissatisfied.

Crispy chicken fillet that's actually crispy. The monster burger is extremely huge. This is the second time I'm getting a meal that actually fills whilst being budget friendly.
Just the right place to get you evening when lazy to cook
Excellent stay! Beautiful space, rooms, and service. The restaurant is excellent and they were so kind to give my husband a nice surprise dessert and cappuccino for his birthday. Highly recommend!
Bad and dirty
The employees and their service is good. I was not impressed by the way the owner /manager was insulting the hard working staff members in front of us as customers. He is very rude. The food is delicious and clean but unhappy staff means you are doing something wrong. I still feel he can do better. I repeat. He is rude and in front of customers, That's a no! no!

I wish I wasn't forced to give one star. We went to this place for the first time today, whe wanted to ask about the menu, the guy walking around at the back said we should ask the girl at the till. Okay, now since our arrival the girl was just lying half on the counter, (not even greeting the guests arriving) and popping pimples on her arms, when we asked about the menu, she was even yawning without her hand in front of her mouth while talking to us, the customers, just there and then we decided to go and get KFC. The service from the start was awful. This was the first and last time this place have seen us, will not even recommend his place to anyone, the people is unhygienic and has no people skill, maybe they need real training. I served a lot of people, this is not how you do it.

I have been weeping for the loss of my lucky eyelash for some time now. When I was in bed eating shriveled worms, a woman with 12 fingers broke in, grew a tentacle, and carried me to this place. I was immediately put out of my misery when I saw genie float out of the kitchen and present me with 12,000 meatloaf pies. We danced all night and ended up flooding the kitchen, but only 5 people drowned. I need everyone to get here now!!
Not so good - there was load shedding and the food was left in the oil. So the chips sucked up all the oil. The chicken shawarma x2 and beef shawarma was served cold. Disappointed.
Food was tooooo salty. Never cut marathon (hard body) chicken into bits and never salt it

NB: One of the few clubs around that closes in very late ( 02:00am - 04:00am)
