Customer service never picks up the phone

can't speak for this exact location but everytime I call a rep for Emblemhealth they are EXTREMELY pleasant and helpful. I am a complete novice to healthcare insurance and the reps have guided me each time with utmost patience and respect, it really has made the insurance process quite easy for me. Love the reps and keep up the great work - very happy to keep Emblemhealth as my insurance

Emblem you all really suck!! Very frustrating being unable to receive quality customer service. Loud roosters in the background, employees with very thick accents living off shore in the Philippians unable to understand nor provide accurate assistance!! I will be changing my children's health plan due to this!!!! I've spent countless hours on the phone with these so called customer service representatives attempting to figure out what is going on with my account as I've been unable to submit a payment both online and on the phone, not one person was able to help due to language barrier!!!! I will definitely be escalating my compliant!!! If you're going to hire overseas at least train and hire people who actually speak english!!! Word of advice don't bother with EmblemHealth!!!

I have had this insurance my entire life. The key is to be proactive and not just assume the doctors know how your coverage works. The wait times in the offices are short. The doctors, nurses and staff are professional and courteous and the facilities are clean. They’re located in very convenient locations. They have great wellness programs and it’s fast and easy to schedule appointments. My only issue is they sometimes there is a lack of communication between the physicians and the diagnostic testing offices. Sometimes the results don’t get to my doctor in a timely fashion and I hate how expensive the prescription rider is. But overall I love this health plan🏥

Identifying, much less meeting with, mental health providers participating in Emblem plans and accepting new patients is a fool's errand. Directory on the Carelon partner website is full of incorrect information, and the hold time for a telephone rep at Emblem was over 25 minutes, leading to baling out.

Prudential customer service is bad. I am unable to set up 2-step verification for my Amdocs 401k account online and no operator could help me with it even after several phone calls. Nothing has changed after Empower took over Prudential a year back.

They came down a full star this morning. They called me from an unrecognized number and DID NOT leave a message. This is typical for customer service these days. I have run into this in the past. I call back and nobody knows anything because they DID NOT notate the account for the next rep. Many times I never find out the who or what if the call and I don’t get a follow up call either. This didn’t fall between the cracks, it was forced into it. C’mon guys, you’re not selling widgets. People’s health should be the first priority, not the last consideration, if at all. The rep now has a record of calling me in case any questions are asked. This doesn’t even reach the level of customer service at the widget company. Why do you think it is acceptable here? I am fairly confident you will not contact me regarding the reason for the call. Now the crack is painted over.

They have outdated custumer service. They correspond through USPS mail and it take a week to find out whether you made a simple mistake on a withdrawal application from a 403b. When you "chat" with an someone it is a horrible experience. Think before you use them. I have another account with a different company that is so much easier to deal with.

I called 12 days ago and asked for help with my insurance and was promised a call back within 72 hours, well that was 9 days ago and I'm still waiting. Agents always speak so nice, and say no worries, really!

Caught them in a lie. 4 months later they still refuse to honor what they put in writing. They will tell you over the phone and put in writing the amount they will pay. Then the medical office will continue to tell you Aetna declined to pay. So you call Aetna and they say they will pay some times & not other time. This has been going on for 4 months.
I have it in writing from Aetna how much they will pay…

Just awful..My account was liquidated two weeks after they received my request. My paperwork was in good order. I still have not received my check even though my balance is zero. My guess is that they are holding the money as they know I have little recourse. Look at all the negative reviews. Think twice before investing with this company..Many great companies are good alternatives.

AETNA HAS THE WORST REP'S IN THE HISTORY OF INSURANCE. Reps are PROVIDING FALSE AND INACCURATE INFO and MISRESPENTING this company. I would NEVER IN MY LIFE SUGGEST ANYONE TO HAVE AETNA AS AN INSURANCE. THE WORST QUALITY of CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED IN MY LIFE. I was then asked what appeared to be a hypothetical question regarding three tiers of compensation: (1) base salary of $70k with zero bonus eligibility, (2) commission-based salary, (3) hybrid of #1 and #2. The question was "which of the 3 options would you prefer?" I decided to go with #3. In response, I was told that I was not fit for the position because "it is a dog eat dog world and you don't seem to have a killer instinct."

How do I speak with someone in the US and not in the Philippines? My father is diabetic, is on dialysis and because emblem and Medicare said the mailing address i provided has caused his insurance to cancel. He has never moved out of NY and I don’t know how else to explain that. We called in back in March to confirm the address over the phone. I need help!!!!!

Signed up for insurance with this company over a decade ago. Submissions of updated information never updates and Gregg Gunzberg, the rep who sold me the policy, refuses to be of any help once he did an initial call to the office and realized that it’s impossible to get anything accomplished. Both he and communication to the CEO results in no responses.

Equitable advisor is an awful spam organization. They claim to have received my phone number through a purchased list and then called me on 3 different occasions. Each time I requested my number to be removed from their call list, yet I continued to receive calls. I would never use a financial advisor that follows these practices.

I received an unsolicited call from this company offering financial advisor services. The ruse was designed to make me think I already had dealings with this agent and company. If they are this unscrupulous in initial contact, how could I ever trust them to give me real advice that would actually be beneficial to me? I got a very phishy vibe from this company.

I signed up for insurance through this company in the 80s and was happy with my life insurance initially. Over the years the company changed and has gotten progressively worse. They can't get my address correct and give incorrect information. Now, their calls are directed through a call center in India that is horrible. They can do nothing but attempt to verify correct address, but they get that wrong most of the time. They are totally inept. I believe the company sent my bills to the wrong address for years. I kept calling to ask where my bill was and how much I owed and was told I owed nothing. It was not until after a 5 year period passed that I was told I no longer could pay the prior rate I had because I had not paid my insurance payments: a direct result of employees telling me over and over that I did not owe anything. I believe this company's actions were intentional to cause me to lose a policy I made every effort to keep. Steer clear of this company.

Worst customer service imaginable. Forms which should be available online need to be mailed to you, resulting in long delays. Had my 401k transferred here and have now waited 4 weeks to open the self-directed brokerage account I was told would take minutes on the phone. There’s no direct number to call this department so you wait on hold forever to get transferred to that department and then talk to people who don’t know what they’re talking about and make promises they can’t keep. Seriously considering contacting an attorney to get this resolved.

I'm on medicare and just switched to Emblem for supplementary. It is the WORST experience. Customer service promise call backs that never come, problems never resolved and their customer service reps have NO knowledge of the insurance business and have no clue how to help. I have been trying to resolve an issue for 2 months and hours on the phone. Still not resolved.

Company is terrible, my employer switched over to them for a retirement plan. They set up my account with the incorrect DOB and now I’m having a mile long amount of issues that they can’t fix. I have noticed in the last week for the first time for me, that my calls to customer service are now going overseas to the Philippines and India. And this angers me so much. Not only is my private medical plan and my information on a computer there, but your jobs at this company are at risk. We need to speak out about this and complain.
I asked to speak to a rep from the USA and was hung up on, kept on hold three separate times for over twenty minutes and when asked for a superviser nobody came to the phone. As well as being told by this Filipino that they would not and could not send my call to America.
Finally on the fourth call of the day, got somebody in Florida and got the help I needed and made a complaint. Said somebody will contact me by phone or in writing. Yeah right. Please ask to speak to a U.S. rep and complain about this to anyone and everyone. Our private info is on computers in India and the Philippines handled by third world people.
