A nice park built on one of the hills of San Francisco. Many interesting paths to wander and many with great views of the city.
Awesome park! This park is so beautiful and has such an amazing view. Loved the greenery and how clean it is. Good place for walking or for a jog and it is pet friendly too.
I just want to read a book under the bright sun and enjoy the cool breeze in this park. Good times.

Amazing how one can find this beautiful park right in the middle of the city. A sanctuary of green and many varieties of tall trees. A place to stroll and escape to nature. Not too crowded. Quite steep trails but the views from the top are worth the hikes. Easy in and out. Lots of furry pups with their humans hanging out here.

Reminds me a lot of our WWl Tower/ Museum - I’ve included a picture of it.
If you want to see San Francisco and take the vista in all at once Coit Tower is the best option. At 212 feet high and 360 degrees of viewing it’s stunning. You be able to see deGolden Gate Bridge, “crooked” Lombard Street, Nob Hill, Russian Hill, Twin Peaks, Aquatic Park, Pier 39, the Financial District, the Ferry Building, Angel Island, Alcatraz, Treasure Island, and the Bay Bridge.
Tower includes murals from 1934. There is a coin operated bathroom - yes - pay to pee!!
No parking lot for tourist - must shuttle or walk. Trip to the top is 453 stairs
Food is at the Coit Tower Cafe a few feet from the tower proper.

Nice little adventure if you're in the area and have extra time. It's really important to keep these types of art murals preserved so we can continue to enjoy them. View is a nice 360 view.
Fantastic spot to get a 360° view of the San Francisco area. You can see the Golden gate bridge, Alcatraz, the bay bridge, and the SF downtown. The elevator has been broken for quite some time now, so you need to take the stairs. There are over 200 steps. Parking on the weekends is almost always full, so try to get there early or you'll have to get lucky.
This tower is at a high elevation and gives you some excellent views of the bay and the Bay bridge and cool breeze flowing all around the tower surrounded by a garden. People often come here to chill and have a picnic.
I had to walk 2.5 miles to get to it. I knew there would be a climb, and there was. But, worth every bit of it. Beautiful park on a cool, rainy-ish day. The neighborhood was really nice, the walk was pleasant. Lots to see, good views, not too crowded.
$10 to climb to the top. It's a great workout, and well worth it for the views of this iconic city. Plus, they have a penny stamping machine . 😎
This spot is, in my opinion, a hidden gem, offering one of the finest views of Downtown San Francisco! While the climb up the steps can be tiring, the experience is truly worthwhile. I highly recommend a visit to Coit Tower. Although I didn't ascend to the top of the tower, I suggest exploring the surrounding area for a fulfilling experience.
If you’re visiting San Francisco and can handle a hard walk to and up the tower, I recommend this is a great place to see some spectacular sights. The elevator was out of commission so I had to walk up the tower. I also walked to the tower so by the time I got to the top I looked like a sweaty farm animal, LOL. The price is $10 to get to the top which seemed reasonable. Plus I wasn’t going to turn around now.
However, the views are awesome! You can see all around the bay and into the city. Some of the glass views are dirty, but overall it was okay. I recommend visiting this tourist attraction the next time you get to San Francisco.

Admission $10 per adult. A great view from the top of the Tower. The climb is also interesting at the beginning with murals covering the walls. The only problem is that there were 13 floors and the elevator was out of service. It was a bit of a climb, but once at the top, it was worth it for the fantastic views of all of San Francisco. We were even able to enjoy the flight of eagles around the Tower. A highly recommended experience.
Neat place with great view at the top. Prepare to climb some stairs if the elevator isn't working. The lady who worked at the top of the tower in the afternoon last Tuesday, Oct 10, was very helpful and sweet. She was giving folks many pointers for taking photos and helped take pictures of couples.
The views from the top are spectacular. You can get a great 360 degree view of the area. Be warned: there are a lot of steps to the top!
Murals inside are oil and so are very delicate. They depict a San Francisco of yesteryear.
If you're lucky you'll meet Frank at the top. If you get chatting he'll give you some recommendations for music venues, bars, and pizza places where you can eat cheaply in San Francisco (not an easy thing to achieve).

It’s is as you can see in US movies! So fun to be here excepted the unsafe area. Indeed, each parking lots in the neighborhood are commonly visited by criminal people who smash the cars windows to steal tourists stuffs. Be very careful.
I ask myself what is the police and authority doing for this? Are we in the USA or in third world? I’m not surprised why people are avoiding these places.

What a climb! We walked up Telegraph Hill and then found out the elevator was not working. Oh well, it was an adventure and well worth the effort. Amazing panoramic views from the bay to Alcatraz to the city skyline. Definitely a great experience.
Exciting and great trail for any type of cardiovascular exercises.. light to heavy.

You should visit. And take the stairs! Wonderful views from the top although a shame that their is Perspex over the windows which rather obscure the photos.
Lots of history and the murals are excellent. The shop has some nice original stuff, I was enthralled by a book with old pictures of Chinatown.

One of the best vista points to view the Golden Gate Bridge. This is the location to capture those Instagram pics of the bridge between the two tree trunks.
There is plenty of parking space. However, several signs posted warning visitors of window smashing and vehicle break-ins.
It's a good alternative spot compared to the visitor center on the opposite side, but I'd recommend both as you get different views of the bridge from both ends.

you can walk on the different trails, a place to relax and see the city of San Francisco from above, you also have the option of playing tennis in its two available playgrounds
Beautiful untammed park. Lots of gay man cruising at night. I wish folks would stay on the trails as there is erosion occuring in many of the hillsides. Don't think there are public restrooms in this park.
Wonderful viewing spot for the Golden Gate Bridge. Free parking and an interesting visitor center.
I never get bored with the views from here even though I have been here 100s of times. The parking is getting progressively harder and harder here. I wish there was good public transportation to this location from main points within the city. Also this place is increasingly getting very unsafe. Please make sure you don't leave valuables in the car, specially with them visible from outside. Expert thieves can get in and out in seconds. That's amazing, in a perverse way.
One of the best views overlooking the Golden gate. This is where all the locks are on the fence for people that have either passed away or people that got engaged in married it's a lovely sentiment there are locks everywhere that date back years and years ago I recommend at least seeing it one time and bringing locks for yourself and leave one behind.
This is a great spot to take in views of the bridge and old fortification. It's a high spot, so you can see quite far. It wasn't crowded at all, so it's easy to find free parking. There are a lot of good spots for photography.
This park is gorgeous. I can't believe it's in the city. It feels like you're out in the woods.

A little slice of magical heaven right smack in the middle of the city. You can get the smell of the forest in the city. Views for days in all directions. Definitely worth the hike! 🥵
Tucked out of the way and uncrowded, with excellent views of the bridge and the shoreline along an easy walking path, plus interesting graffiti on the old bunkers. Worth a stop!
Buena Vista Park is a beautiful and historic park in the heart of San Francisco. I enjoyed walking along the winding trails and admiring the views of the city and the bay. The park has a lot of trees and flowers, and it feels like a peaceful oasis away from the hustle and bustle. The park is well-maintained and clean, and there are benches and picnic tables for relaxing. I would recommend this park to anyone who loves nature and history.

Been to San Francisco over 2 dozen times and I finally stumbled across this location. Loved the view point and angle of the bridge. Got some great pictures and caught it all during the golden hour or sunset. Please go, but lock your doors and take your valuables with you. Lots of break ins in the parking lot.
Very nice park, love how it feels like I'm not in the city when I walk in. The trees are so big that it blocks out the city view when you're inside. There's also a information panel on tree planting that was very cool. The top has a small lawn area that you can picnic and spot the golden gate bridge from.
A beautiful park tucked above Haight Street with stunning views in nearly every direction. Filled with trails, vista spots, tennis courts, exercise areas, a play ground, and a dog play park, this little park is *highly* recommended!!
Walked through well after dark to catch Pride laser lights. Spectacular night views as well. NOTE: As expected, with any dark, densely treed urban park, it was delightfully quiet and highly sketch (car break-ins, especially.) Even as a lifelong city dweller, after dark, I respectfully stick to the sidewalk, avoid the trails, keep my ear buds in my pocket, and remain alert. Stay safe and enjoy the view!
