It has good Malaysian Indian banana leaf rice. Ordered family set (100 dollars), it stated 2x carving set but serve 3 as we have 3 people, thanks for extra without charge. We have 2x roti. Good tea tarik too.

Met a friend up for lunch on a weekday and decided to try BananaBro as none of us had tried it before. It's one of those "pleasant surprises" for both of us. Inside is quite ordinary but service is friendly and staff member had taken the time to explain how the Weekday lunch Craving Set works. Never tried anything like this before for lunch so I thought it was a great experience. Set items are topped-up (refill) so it's abit like a buffet where you can ask for more once you finished your side dishes. The Craving Set looked amazing when delivered to your table, lots of choices and colours. Curries / sauces was good, I really liked the fried chicken - looked different to other fried chicken but was pretty good, crispy fried onion was yummy and really loved how the large banana leaf was placed in front of you (used as a plate) - such a great idea. The sambal tofu was also pretty good (I'm a tofu lover) and the upgraded Biryani rice is a must (I loved it with the curries). I'll definitely be back and take my mum along, I think she will love it.

We had a great experience on a weekday. We couldn’t afford a long waiting period of time to be served. I had clear communication with Akief before we sat down. The service was excellent as the food came fast, hot, and delicious with a reasonable portion of ingredients. We ordered two Laksa noodle soup. We are very happy with it. Thank you

Went out for dinner and thought we try out Sedap Place after some recommendations from friends. It was quite busy and as we didn't have a reservation we had a 15min wait which was fine as it gave us time to look at the menu. Once seated, we quickly ordered and meal came out well presented and full of flavour. There was a slight delay with the satays but can be forgiven due to how busy they were. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will be back next time.

Best dining Experience I’ve had in a VERY long time! The Manger, Faiza, hope I spelt that right, was such an amazing help and such a sweetheart 🫶🏽. My partner is vegan so it’s hard finding good dinner options for us, they were so lovely to put together a great option for both of us :) we will definitely be coming back again for more !

I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious, with a great variety of options to choose from. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed meal. Our server, Brian, was outstanding — he was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure our dining experience was perfect. I have a nut allergy, and Brian took extra care to check with the kitchen and ensure all our dishes were safe. It made us feel well taken care of, and we could enjoy our meal without any worries. Overall, a fantastic place with great food and exceptional service. We’ll definitely be coming back!

only setback was the chicken thigh (which was really huge btw) was a little under, so the texture was not that enjoyable. however, the rest of the dishes and the nasi kerabu components were delicious.

For someone who just came from Malaysia, super happy to see authentic Malaysian food. Was my first meal in Perth, and cant say I’m unhappy! Delicious meal, excited to dine in whenever I get the opportunity 👌

Kids loved the fried chicken and lamb.
Roti was ok, not the best but definitely fresh, felt a bit oily. The complimentary curry was a bit watered down but tasty.
Good value in terms of quantity as the sides are unlimited refill.

Ordered the Nasi Lemak for Two and the Chicken Satay and we were absolutely stuffed and loved it all, apart from the beef rendang which was ok and the squid.

The food here is absolutely delicious! Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection.One of my favourite is the Curry Laksa with chicken😘..Highly recommended the Sedap Place and to best Chef Linda keep up the Good work🥰👏👏👏

The fried kway teow had a nice wok-hei, with bonito flakes adding to the flavours. Nasi lemak was nicely presented, stir fried beef tender. Cendol was huge with lots of ingredients.

Love me some authentic Malaysian cuisine in Perth.

Among our selections were the Penang Char Kway Teow, which immediately captivated us with its enticing smokiness. The flavors were robust yet harmonious, showcasing a skillful balance of ingredients and seasonings. Equally impressive was the Special Telur Tofu, a dish that blended textures and flavors with finesse. To round out our meal, we opted for the Sweet & Sour Chicken, a timeless choice that did not disappoint. Friendly service. Food is pretty good, I enjoyed the nasi lemak and the satay. The tangy sotong had some nice heat to it. Soft drinks come warm with cups of ice for that authentic Malaysian vibe! Need to return to try the ice kacang which looked great!

This Malaysian restaurant was highly recommended by friends, we went there for dinner, we liked the salted egg chicken, the salted fish fried rice and Char Kuey Teow, but the Nasi Lemak and Curry Chicken were not as good as what I expected. Overall, it is still a good Malaysian restaurant, very friendly staff.

Very flavorful and delicious Malaysian food you could find in Perth. Food Portion and Price are reasonable and staff were friendly. I ordered Fried Chickend and it taste good (I am still quite full after the breakfast else would definately order more food) 😄

The 1st time we dined here, it was absolutely amazing, both food and services. Unfortunately after 2nd visit, we are all quite disappointed with the differences in services and food limit even though both visits we ordered the same family set (for 3 to 4 pax). On the 2nd visit, sauces were served differently (in mini pouring jug instead of saucers which is great) but instead of unlimited papadum like the 1st visit, we were only given TWO single papadum and when questioned about unlimited papadum during previous visit, we were told that each craving set only comes with ONE papadum… seriously? ONE? Surely papadum doesn’t cost that much to provide more than one piece per craving set, after all, the family set is catered to feed 3-4 people as per menu… so we are supposed to crumble the papadum to share between 4 people?? 4 people sitting at the table, only 2 banana leaves were provided and had to ask for the other 2. Instead of side dishes being served in bowls for self-serve, 2nd visit had to be served scoop by scoop from the waitress until we asked to have a bowl for self-serve. Other than the above poor experiences, food does taste delicious. If you only care about delicious food but nothing else, then do try it otherwise you’ll just have to try your luck to see which waitress is working on the day to serve you.
