Visited the place to take a tour to see weather we are interested in having our daughters’ birthday party there.
I was provided with information during my visit there. Also was informed the event planner does her own planning and would be best to answer any of our questions.
I called. Left a message. Waited over a week. Even filled out the form on the website to get some kind of acknowledgment. ( Keep in mind…. In the message, it states to give about 48 hours for a return call back before calling her back.) Nope, nada, and nothing! Like what is the reasoning for that specific information left on the message if you’re not going to do what you said?! So you’re a LIER?! At this point it’s been almost two weeks since I left a message. I had called the center to get in touch with her, cause they should know if she is in or not. I think the lady I spoke to was Ruthann (could be incorrect). She said she would pass the message along. But NO! It’s going on close to almost 3 weeks now with not ONE (1) phone call or email from this even planning person.
Even though my experience from the beginning was trashy from the event planner not reaching back to me. I would never ever recommend to anyone to waste their valuable time and their hard earning money. It’s okay that we didn’t get to get any customer service from this unprofessional, disrespecting event planner. Just keep in mind that if your time and money is valuable/important to you…. It is to others. I don’t want to give it any stars, but can’t post my experience without a star.

Aquatics has demonstrated a lack of professionalism. Attempts to contact their director, Betty Cook, have been unsuccessful, as her voicemail still mentions being out of the office since January, despite it being July. Additionally, for coaching they employ young high school students who lack proper training experience. They mostly sit at the edge of the pool, providing minimal guidance, resulting in no noticeable improvement in children's swimming techniques.
Moreover, our son’s summer swimming sessions have been handled by a different coach each time during the summer course, leading to inconsistent and ineffective instruction. This has been a disappointing and costly experience.
Betty, it's crucial to address customer feedback. Your failure to return calls and resolve issues reflects poor management. I will escalate the matter to the Fairfax County Park Authority, hopefully they take an action.

We paid the Fairfax county resident day rate. Currently $11 for adult and $7.50 for kid. I had one kid in summer camp and had the other kid with me at the pool (the pools are indoors). It’s a great option for bigger littles as the whirlpool (for kids to go around in circles), lazy river (no floats), and slides are on the slower side. I bet the most fun age is around 7 or 8. The tube slide is for 48 inches and taller but is NOT fast or scary but fun enough for my 9 and 11 year olds to love it. There isn’t much seating for non-swimmers but that just means parents are paying more attention to their swimming kids. The hot tub (maybe they don’t call it that?) is for 16 years and older and is very hot (good) with lots of back jets and probably space for 20+ adults. There was a sign for lane sign-ups in the lane pool in the other room, it looks like you have to sign up for lanes late morning like 10-noon give or take. The women’s locker room was giant with lockers, showers, sinks, bathroom stalls. A swimsuit dryer would be a nice addition even though they’re not really great for swimsuits if you use them frequently, and swimsuit plastic bags would be great (we had both when we were YMCA members in Colorado, I’m not sure how common that is). My 9 year old showered in the family bathrooms which were pretty dirty. Not moldy but the floor was gross with hair and dirt and it was soaking wet. A quick mop every few hours would go a long way. We brought food and ate it upstairs overlooking the pools.
It looks like childcare for kids up to 10 is an option for a few dollars and a couple hours, but it would probably be difficult to go for strength training or aerobics or classss if you bring kids 10-16 as I’m assuming the equipment gym is for maybe 16+. But those are assumptions- you’ll need to double check all of that.
If we lived locally often enough (we are Ffx Cty residents but only here one month every six months or so), I’d definitely get a membership but would need to figure out options for adults with tweens.

The First time i was here for a birthday it was more crowded, i like the place bec it is kid friendly even if this is 45 mins away from my home. I could give 5 stars but i changed my mind.
Today we have an unplanned trip to go here, i totally understand the wait but very disappointed for waiting more than 1 hour and still have to wait longer..
I was told that theyre at full capacity but looking at it, the place is not even that crowded compare to the time i came in here.
The staff has no system. i see a lot people leaving, do you even count them out? They couldve let people in when people leave.
Idk what are they waiting for. Just simply let us wait for no reason. Just tell us to leave, i feel bad for the kids waiting.
When i check on where iam in the list, there are still 4 people ahead of me even waiting for more than 1 hour. They closed at 6 so when they lets us in, we only have 1 hr to swim. Not worth the wait.
If you think you have a party and max out the capacity then just say, it is closed instead of letting us wait in vain.

Spacious club center. Great place for families to spend time together. The pools are big and have a lot of fun stuff. Well equipped and clean gym. There are kids clubs during school breaks. The clubs (Science Seeds) we attended were great and well planned. The staff was great and friendly too. There are only three vending machines, no food sold here.

Stopped by the indoor water park for the first time, and the kids really enjoyed it. The facility has a good mix of equipment and water features for different age groups.
The downside was the limited hours, and it can be pretty crowded as a result, especially on on the weekend.

There are two pools in the recreation center. There is also a gym inside. Outside there is a golf course and some trails. There is also a playground and a basketball hoop. The trails lead to a park if you turn right. The entrance to the park is blocked. There is construction around it.

What a nice center!
They have a large parking so there is no fear of not being able to park.
The front desk area is spacious.
The gym is very nice with all necessary apparatus.
The pools are wonderful. There is a leisure side type of pool and a more Olympic type pool fit for competitions.
