I’m not certain why the poor reviews. I’ve never had a problem and am always satisfied. I’m considering visiting today, Mother’s Day, for some good Chinese food! Convenient, and the hours allow for that late nite visit. My faves: broccoli beef in brown sauce, combo fried rice with extra bean sprouts. I like the spring rolls too!
Came here for a late dinner tonight. Ordered walnut, shrimp and fried rice. I knew something was wrong when the staff stated that they were not going to serve you food that it would be to go boxes which was fine. I ordered a glass of water for my meal and they gave me a bottled water and charged me three dollars without asking, when the food came out the white rice that came with the walnut shrimp was old, cold and dry. The fried rice tasted burnt again. The rice was old as if this was a premade that fried rice that they had in the back. There was no service Due to the fact that they gave you everything to go boxes there was no service to be rendered altogether. Do not go there. I spent $50 for two people and the food was terrible.
really bad service , cashiers are super rude , she roll her eyes when i ask for more salsas , for 4 plates they giveme 3 sauce .. food is still good , less portion but good but with that service i will think twice to come back ,managers need to train your people better

I've ordered online and also eaten there in person. Of course dining in, allowes you to enjoy it at its absolute freshest. The orange chicken when dining in has this amazing toastiness on the outer part. It's hard to explain but Omg it was amazingly delicious. If you ordered it to go, it's probably softer by the the you get home so the texture is different. . . Throw it in the air fryer for just a bit. Trust me. It's amazing. Same with the garlic chicken. Honestly I loved every dish I've had, the fried rice, the beef noodles, broccoli beef. If you dine in you get a complimentary egg drop soup and white rice. Lunch is probably best.
The place is small, quiet, clean. It is a bit pricey, but you get pretty big portions which you get to enjoy again later. . .

The food was good but not the best I’ve had. We got our food to go. We were unsure if maybe there was some culture difference happening but the lady who originally took our order was a bit abrasive. Just not as friendly as I was in trying to interact with her. Maybe it was an off day 🤷🏻♀️. The atmosphere was mediocre. Large comfortable booths but the place had gnats and was “sticky”. It was cute visually. The price was kind of hefty but you get good portions.
My Dad 82, brought me here and the food was good. It made 2 meals for me so I always love that!

Been going to this place for 2 years ordering the same meal and today they can no longer accommodate the order which I am more than happy to pay for. It's cool places like this won't last in this economy. Their new attitude with the management change leaves much to be desired. Won't return ... Don't waste your time on this place it's barely surviving let them go under and keep small businesses that actually want to provide a service open.
The ladies working were super rude to the woman in front of me. After that, they were just as rude to me. I had to leave without taking the food. The worker stuck her whole hand in my food box, so I left. Very weird experience and definitely a first. This happened at 5:12 approximately on Thursday. Owner should definitely check the camera footage.

I will never go back here again!! Rude servers, hustle you constantly on them trying to have you buy everything! Constantly hovering over you! Then they don’t tell you that you have to pay for the tea they just place it on the table and your thinking it’s free they don’t tell you it’s an extra charge! Then you order and your order takes forever with hardly no one in the restaurant. You ask where your order is and she says it’s coming then you see the server write down your order and it takes another 30 minutes so I know she forgot to put it in! Asking for water is a hassle. Then I go to pay and ask to use 2 separate cards to pay and she says no then she watches us leave and has the nerve to say no tip?!!! Ummm what?!
It was pure coincidence that brought me here! I was planning on going to a nearby restaurant but when I got there, the place was closed early for the day for some kind of staff meeting. So I went to Minh Ky, which is the nearest open restaurant from where I was.
I got the beef sate chow fun, kung pao chicken and an egg soda.
Both beef chow fun and the kung pao chicken were delicious. The beef sate chow fun had plenty of beef, and flavorful sate sauce; kung pao chicken had lots of green peppers and onions but still plenty of chicken. I really enjoyed both dishes. The staff were friendly and kind enough to explain some other dishes that I was curious about. I'll definitely be back to try other stuff here.

Always check your plate especially when waiting for an item. Some how the order is wrong or missing something.
The place was empty when we got there that was the first sign. We sat down and nobody brought us a menu for a while the waitress was horrible. Didn't even bring us enough water. We we had to go ask for Stuff multiple times the food was edible but my cashew shrimp was more onion than anything that was raw. We spent $90 on food that was definitely not worth it we paid extra for the fried rice but it wasn't fried rice at all it was just regular rice with soy sauce on it at least that's what it tasted like. Definitely would not recommend this restaurant and we will not be going back there I should have read the reviews before going here
The most expensive dim sum I’ve ever had. Food is a little above average, prices are higher than Tim Ho Wan. You even have to pay for parking. If the prices were 20% lower, I would feel good about the meal, but $8+ for 3 little pieces that are barely warm is not worth it to me. Tea was great. I will try another place next time. My dad says they should only get 3 stars, but the service really was great.
Always forget the teriyakis sauce for the chicken, defeats the whole purpose of order it. Made me wait 15 mins for them to still get the order wrong. It wasn't even that busy. 👎👎👎
Busy post Christmas dining. My family did take out. Everything we ordered was good from the Dumpling & wonton egg noddle soup, crispy chicken to the Chinese brocoli in oyster sauce. I think the crispy chicken came with the steamed rice.
Food was excellent and in great portions. 4 people and lots of leftovers for only $80. Staff caring and friendly. It is a bit small, but overall, it's great.
We were down in San Diego to celebrate a birthday with a family relative. What a terrific restaurant. They have an extensive menu with a great choice of foods. The dining area is massive, and they can actually partition off for special family events. They have various sized tables so you can bring a large or small group. If you like Chinese food, you will like the Jasmine Seafood Restaurant.
It's okay, the portions are generous but the food is alright. The fried rice isn't even fried all the way and the orange chicken although good has more fried crust than chicken. The chow mein is very thin compared to other places I've been to. The customer service is okay as well, but it leaves more to be desired.

This place was fantastic! We were craving wonton soup with rice noodles, shrimp, beef, and beef balls, even though it wasn't on the menu. However, they made it happen, and it was incredibly tasty! 😋 We also tried the spring rolls, and everyone loved them. We'll definitely be coming back!
Parking: Parking plaza is a hit or miss. Sometimes overly crowded and must park in neighborhood/streets and times the lot has plenty of spaces

Banhmi sandwich was delicious however the sanitary of this place is a little ehhhhhhh. Eggs rolls were also good. Cash only establishment.
Delicious traditional sit down dim sum! You have the lady's in the cart peddling around and serving dishes to your table. My favorite dishes here are the scallop, shrimp with chives, fried shrimp wrapped in wonton and fried crab claw puff.

This is a no frills, cash only hole in the wall. My family has been coming here for years. We go out of our way to get the banh mi sandwiches and the egg rolls. This is one of the few places that make the egg rolls with rice paper instead of the wheat paper. Their fresh spring rolls are good too but can sell out throughout the day. And the ice coffee is a perfect jump-start in the morning. I recommend this place to any foodie. But remember cash only.
Friendly staff and a homey feel. Waitress was helpful and checked in often. I’d come back again. Ordered the calamari, vegetable chow mein, glazed walnut shrimp, bermecelli bowl. Food was good and clean.
I used to love the sandwiches here. I went recently and it didn't hit like it used to. Typical Asian strip mall parking situation... very few spaces in a tight corner. I had the fried shrimp rolls and I wouldn't buy again. Cash only
I ordered through GrubHub but they use their own drivers (which I didn't know) and they were so fast! The food was super fresh and hot. I ordered the chicken with string beans and the spicy fried mushrooms, both are very tasty. Highly recommend!
Ordered their dry egg noodle and it was SOOOO GOOD!!! the noodle has a sweet & savory flavor and it was really meaty… Everyone should try it, I travelled 20 miles to eat here. It’s worth it!!!
The restroom smelled horribly. Immediate exit. I immediately went into the ladies room to wash my hands and face and then told them and got pushback… “Are you sure? We just cleaned in a little while ago. It must’ve been that man that was here.”

Dumpling and us not being familiar with food gets one star. One star is for service. He was very nice and apologized for all the issues.

The food here is really amazing and affordable! The staff here are very welcoming (: my husband and I come here religiously.
I love the food from Ly Heng, they are unique in lot of way (cooking method, flavor, the soup), when you order an item, the item will come look exactly same as the menu, very appetizing. Both chicken wing and calamari appetizer are flavorful with right amount of garlic and pepper to boost the aroma.
Then come to the best part, the bone soup. When you order ride dish, usually it will come with a bowl of pork bone soup, the meat are very tender and tasty, the soup have good amount of fish sauce to help on the umami side.
Every rice dish is huge, but Hainan chicken and combination fried rice are my favorite by far.

Omg where should I began i been to a lot of pho places in San Diego and this place is amazing has the best soup in town bar none seriously great flavor the bowls are huge and the place is pretty quiet place on a weekday definitely make this your pho spot they sell other food too just great place
AMAZING!! Best Chinese food I've had in my 8 years living in San Diego, we ordered the orange chicken, the combination fried rice and the Szechuan beef.. ALL 20/10! I could taste the fresh ingredients and they made the plates with a large quantity of protein I was so impressed. The orange chicken was the perfect ratio of chicken, batter and sauce and I could feel like this Chinese food wasn't greasy or overly salty. I absolutely loved this spot for take out and will definitely come back !!!!!

Prices out of control now. $1.35 per egg roll. One of those things that used to be beautiful and special is now just a cash grab. What do we as the consumer gain for it’s the prices doubling? Is it twice as tasty? Do they no longer make you feel bad for asking for the fish sauce? Goodbye Achau. I once loved you. Now you’re just a memory.

Aye Caramba! Years of searching for a wonderful Teo Chew dry egg noodles (shrimp, fish ball and pork) with bone and broth has finally arrive. The last best place closed was Los Angeles Chinatown about 15 years ago. I’ve order extra noodles and one extra bone and broth for a total of $19.75 with a cold bottled water. I thought it would he at least $30. The last place in Long Beach my meal was $35 for a little amount of food but with Chinese donuts. Will definitely come here again and again!
Be aware of this restaurant! I ordered the lobster with noodles. Lobster tasted horrible! Before I continue let me inform you the reader that I’m Asian and have eaten a lot of lobster at restaurants and prepare it at home for my family. While on vacation I searched Yelp and Google reviews which both gave this restaurant favorable reviews however, when my group got to the restaurant only one to go customer was waiting for an order - my husband said to me, “honey this place is empty- may be you should find another place to eat”. I should have listened to my husband.
Food was good, I got the beef and rice. Great sauce, a bit sweet but good. Service was friendly, nothing special. Good quantity for the price, worth a visit.
Really my first Vietnamese restaurant. I tried the Orange Chicken with white rice. Frog was on the menu but I didn't have what It takes to order It. The food was good though. The orange sauce was a little heavy and very sweet. To me it didn't taste much different than any of the many dishes I've tried at various Chinese restaurants. So, it makes me wonder about the difference between the two. The friendly service was notable. And the price was pretty much what I expected, around $20. Overall, a good experience.
The egg rolls are amazing as is the vast majority of the food here. It’s fast and just amazing. Cash only so make sure you hit up an atm first.

A lot of different kinds of Vietnamese food conveniently Togo !!!! They sell an assortment of different foods and beverages. I would say tho there banh mi is lacking I would only recommend the BBQ pork because the meat is very good. But sadly there banh mi lack any kind of mayo or pate unless you buy an option which has that. And also make sure to bring cash they don’t accept card. There egg rolls etc other than banh mi very solid. (Not trying to take away customers but right next to them Paris Banh Mi is right around the corner if your Trying to get banh mi)
This place is quaint but pumps out delicious food. If you don't get the salt and pepper squid you will regret it. I was told by a friend of mine that they sell out of the squid all the time. It is so much better than Italian calamari. I can't really explain how delicious it is, you just got to come here and try it. Parking is a challenge since it's all street parking in City heights so don't bring your nice car. Will definitely go back again.
We ordered combination fried rice, walnut shrimp, fresh beef steak, pepper salty pork slice, and crispy chicken leg. We were very skeptical when we first went in because the restaurant floor was very dirty, but surprisingly, the food was really good.

The food was great. We did the com phan for 6-8. Had a bunch of leftovers afterward. The food took a while to come out, but we ordered a ton of specialized food that usually takes a while to cook anyway, so it was expected.
I use to eat here all the time old place. I love it but the parking sucks. They got one my to go order wrong but was still pretty good. The Chinese donut kind of small and slightly over cooked the Huang thanh is really good.

WOW. the best Chinese I’ve ever had. Boyfriend and I got the sesame and orange chicken with two spring rolls. Normally with Chinese food I don’t ever eat the big pieces of chicken and this chicken was spectacular!! Crunchy with good flavor. Not one tough or chewy piece of chicken. Big portions.
Came here on a weekday since weekends tend to be very busy. Was seated quickly and the carts came by fast! Was able to get a variety of dishes and also ordered hot tea. Some in our group needed forks which were brought quickly. Overall servers were attentive and food was good. Would come again for dim sum.
Great place for Chinese style Vietnamese food! The noodles are all so good. The duck was sooo good! Chinese donut were hot and Crispy although the porridge could have been richer. Its a bit hard to find parking though, better car pool.
First and foremost, amazing value! They really pile on the food for the price it’s kind of crazy how much will still be left in your plate after you finish your meal. The food is also DELICIOUS!! I definitely recommend the stir fry noodle with egg noodles and beef, and the house fried rice is a heaping plate of flavor. It’s a small family owned restaurant and they deserve every star, definitely bring your family and friends here :)

1 star for the spicy Jalapeno zero stars for the sandwich. Other than that the chicken Bahn mi was the worst we have ever had. It seem they didn't care and just used old, dry leftover top portion of chicken and no sauce. The chicken was old and dry, very hard to chew. We couldn't even salvage any parts to eat because it was so bad. Into the trash where it belong. Not worth $7 in our opinion.
I really wanted to try dim sum at Jasmine but we went too late. That's ok, I will have to come back another time. So we still ordered a variety of appetizers. I really liked the soup dumplings and the salt and pepper wings. The shrimp sui mai was also good. We also ordered the honey walnut shrimp which I wasnt a fan of. Its very quiet in the restaurant, no music or anything so you just hear the conversations from the tables near you.

I was super impressed with this place. My friends have been telling me that although it's a small place, the food is delicious! I ordered beef and broccoli, barbecue pork with noodles, and sweet and sour pork. The menu is extensive, I had a hard time choosing what to order. My friend ordered soup, and when it came to our table, I knew that was my order for next time. I can't wait to return!
The name of this restaurant caught my attention. I like and I love dragons 🐉 ♥️ in general. I wanted to give this a try based on the dragon reference.

We ordered our food ... wonton soup, Singapore noodles, sweet and sour fish. 😋 They have a large selection and options to choose from.
However, there's a feel of a mom and pop shop, small restaurant in a plaza, little or tiny seating area and drinks come in cans or bottled water. Hardly any decorations.
We gave it a try and that's all that matters. We did enjoy the food and its fairly good.

We ordered our food ... wonton soup, Singapore noodles, sweet and sour fish. 😋 They have a large selection and options to choose from.
However, there's a feel of a mom and pop shop, small restaurant in a plaza, little or tiny seating area and drinks come in cans or bottled water. Hardly any decorations.
We gave it a try and that's all that matters. We did enjoy the food and its fairly good.

Update review: We brought our brothers family come to try dim sum, since our nephew and niece haven’t had it yet. The whole experience is very enjoyable. Foods are nice, my favorites are daikon rice cake, coconut slices bread, shrimp dumplings and chaShao Buns~ the roasted duck is delicious as well. Although they are delicious, their price goes higher, now it’s kinda pricy. I attached their new price in the photos.

We came here at Saturday morning around 10:30, it takes 10 minutes for us two to get seated, which is not long at all. Their whole interior looks very classic and authentic. The foods are very authentic too. They push the carts to you and you can pick whatever you want. Their speed is fast so you don’t need to wait long at all to get foods. And their service is really nice as well. I’ll definitely bring family and friends come back here soon.

This parking plaza is so tiny. The area is also sketchy. Street parking is metered along the side street but free along El Cajon Blvd.
We went with the basic standard safe dishes and ordered salt and pepper tofu ($10), salt and pepper chicken wings ($13), and orange chicken with rice ($13.50).
The tofu was lightly breaded and deep fried with soft crispy shell and soft interior. Had chili garlic and scallion toppings that gave it a kick. The salt and pepper wings were jumbo and very crispy with all the flavors. Orange chicken was also well made. Had the tangy sauce.

Came here one fine evening on a quest for yummy num-nums. I tried the Chow Mein (beef) and it was quite delicious. The wonton soup was good but needed more spice but that’s just me. Overall the view of the place was nice inside with all the lights and set the decor for the evening quite beautifully. However, I don’t know if this is permanent but the restaurant only wants customers to enter through the back. Through the roof, alley, or even a fire escape. I’ll enter from anywhere to enjoy great food. -Good luck my fellow foodies
Tried the phnom penh noodles dry for the first time itnwas really good huge portions came with side of pork bone broth , the pork was so tender! My noodle side of soup and drink was 10 bucks deal!!
Food taste's great, portions size is great, only bad thing is if you wanna order by phone they never pick up, I have actually talked to actual staff about the issue and it has never changed, so don't waste your time trying to order by phone, just head straight there! My brother loves the house fried rice, I like the beef fried rice, my sister likes the fried calamari!
The food is super Tasty. Service is prompt, if a bit brisk. We ordered lobster, honey Walnut shrimp, and garlic pepper shrimp. All delicious. Lobster had plenty of meat. We're going back.
Food tasted amazing and super cheap for that price. They had a variety of Vietnamese dishes that tasted exactly how I used to have them in Vietnam. Not to mention that the portions were big and food were served for the sharing dining style. The server (a middle aged man) was extremely nice and attentive. It's located in a not so fancy neighbourhood and doesn't have a lot of parking. A wonderful hidden gem!
Great mom and pop Vietnamese place. Mom and Dad are the cooks. The service is friendly and the food is exceptional. The restaurant has been open 32 years, so they know what they're doing.
AMAZING SERVICE!!! Me and my mom walked in right as they opened, completely empty,workers just showing up. We order and of course they just opened so the food was still cooking, no problemo. We sit down for about 3 minutes and they hand us free drinks for the wait and about 5 minutes later we get our food and its delicious 10/10
This place does have some of the best egg rolls and they're cheap. $.70 or $.90 depending on the wrap. Perfect to bring to a party. The other food was good too and well priced. It's cash only. There's an ATM at the market across the street.

I really enjoyed my visit to City Dragon. If you are looking for fancy, then keep looking. If you are looking for some good Chinese food at a reasonable price then this is it! They have a small parking lot in front but it's shared by three small restaurants and a laundromat so you might have to park on the street at lunch time. The place is clean and the menu is large. I ordered black pepper beef off the lunch specials listed on the front counter. It came with white rice but I paid a little extra for fried. It came out quickly, and was hot and fresh. This place is clearly owner operated... A big plus in my book. They told me that they had been open for almost 13 years! Check them out next time you in the El Cajon Blvd area. They are open for lunch and dinner.
Came here around 5:30 on a Friday a little bit after they opened for the evening hours. I was the first customer for the evening so service was fine. Food also came out fast. I had the beef sate with thick egg noodles. Fresh, yet savory and slightly spicy, about a 4/10 on the spicy scale. It comes with a side of pork and broth, which was also delicious. It was my first time here and I'll definitely be back!

Although during my first visit, it was spicier than what I like. I requested a less spicy version during my 2nd visit and it was perfect! I am not sure what it's called, but theres a soybean(?) thing they have that you can add to the dish which adds a slight different flavor.
The dish also comes with bone soup. The soup is light, but flavorful. The meat is really tender and almost melts in your mouth. I like this one compared to the ones around the area because it's not as fatty.

I go to a lot of Panda Express restaurants because I love their chicken and this one is one of the best ones I’ve been to. They always have parking and the service is friendly and speedy. Also there prices are a little bit lower than the Panda Express at the downtown horton plaza location which I also go to.
I had really high expectations coming here mainly for the Egg noodle wonton soup. The portion was huge, like enough to feed 2 people. And that's coming from a fatty. The broth was bland, noodles, as well as the wonton. However, the char siu was on point! Another menu item that is saving this place in my book was this magical piece of fried chicken. Crisp perfection with a delicious sauce. I did sample beef broccoli rice and that had a really good flavor, so I'm wondering if I came on an off day. Service was ok, and good value for Chinese food. This place was pretty popular/crowded, and no so spacious - so be prepared to wait, and look for parking.
I came in for my first visit at 9:56AM, and there was my server, greeting me with a menu in-hand. A good first step to a pleasant experience.
I ordered French beef with rice, wings, beef fried rice and a Heineken.
Delicious. Everything was perfect for a mid-morning vacation bike ride and brunch.
