It was good. Pretty heavy on the batter. The wings are on the small side. I’ll try the sandwich next time.
Usually pelicana chicken spots are good but this must have been a one-off. Came in to get two chicken sandwiches around 6, and the service was terrible- just really rude. When I got my sandwiches they were soggy with frying oil.

I dont normally eat at checkers. I was hungry and I passed by and saw the $6 meal so I thought why not. I'm eating it right now and it's not good. The fries is salty, the chicken bites is old and don't even taste like chicken. And the quantity was small not sure why I didn't expect that.

I need to preface with I’m just a tourist out here. I love love love Korean food!! As I was walking down the street to the subway to catch my flight back, I saw this place and decided to give it a try. The place is quite lovely! Decor is great! Service was not friendly at all. I came in and I was the only one there. The server did not smile once. As I’m looking at the menu I can hear her sighing heavily. I order my food and the entire time she’s sighing. I get my food rather fast and it was huge. The portions are very big. The food was delicious. But my biggest gripe was that it felt like either A) the server was having a bad day (which is totally understandable as we all have them) or B) she was bothered at me being there. Now I don’t know what may have been the issue but I felt so unwelcome and uncomfortable. I have been in a customer service facing job before and I know it can be a lot or there may be personal issues, but I felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome.
2024 Take your food to go in the winter, this place is cooooold, the food is good and affordable, but not comfortable to eat in, our Waitress made us wait for our utensils, out order to go and our bill, she was more interested in taking phone calls. Still recommend.

This restaurant has great and tasty dishes as i am a returning costumer from queens. My only complaint is the mashed potatoes it tasted as if they're from a box, such a disappointment after waiting so long for my order.
Delicious food most of the times. I've eaten in & taken out from here many times. The only regret was the time that the chicken I ordered was COMPLETELY dehydrated & overcooked. It was like chicken jerky on bones. It was awful and probably unsafe to eat. I couldn't return it because it was take out & this place is out of the way. The restaurant is always super crowded with limited space in the ordering area. It's very uncomfortable & loud & the wait staff is always too busy to pay attention to sit-in customers. Still, in general, the food tastes good. Just check your food by watching them pack it in front of you. This way you don't end up with something you don't want.
I had my 65th birthday food catered by Rico Pollo omg 😱 never disappointed I was so worried but everyone complimented the food in fact that was the topic of the night besides my bd thank you so much highly recommend. Late night run 😬, I wanted to eat some chicken but was not sure what I really wanted after. This place did just that… the location is great, the atmosphere is nice and, and guess what the service was wonderful… I say give them a try ( 617 Grand street, Brooklyn NY 11211…. open from 3pm-11pm ) you won’t regret it…MOE will take care of you.
After spending the whole day trying to figure out where to get a turkey burger, I stopped by Bareburger to try it out for the first time. I ordered a lunch special that was around $17. It came with the turkey burger, fries, and a drink. I order the lemonade which was freshly squeezed so I enjoyed that! The burger was a filling size for me and the patty was cooked well. I really liked the fries. They give you a good amount!!
It took a bit of time to get served because the waiter was tending to everyone but once we ordered, the food came quickly. The place had a bar vibes and they had lots of specials on alcoholic drinks too. It was pretty busy on a Wednesday afternoon but I would go back.

Waitress was upset or bothered by something and let it reflect in her attitude during service to us. Very unwelcoming. Ordered, took long to receive meals and coffee was served to us in paper cups... if it I was at the Bodega getting coffee, that would be acceptable, but sitting down to have breakfast with the family at a restaurant I feel is unacceptable and poor service. When I asked what's up with the cups, she said there were no clean coffee mugs/cups... At 10 am? I was so disappointed. It's not a major thing, but I felt unwelcome. And my family did as well.

I have had mixed experience with this restaurant. I placed an order for Thanksgiving Holliday 2023 for a big tray of pernil and a big tray of rotisserie chicken, like I always do each year. Well, this time, half of my guesses , my wife and I ended up getting diarrhea🤢🤮. I can't say for a fact that the meat contributed to this. But everything else that was served at the dinner table was rice and salads. And people

I was really in the mood for fried chicken and this place opened up recently. Ordered 5 drums and 10 wings for take out. When I got home and opened it this is truly a horrifying sight. Drums the size of turkey legs and couldn't even tell what the wings were. So much batter and tasteless. I'm so disappointed and would never go here again. The dining room had 1 person sitting on a 7pm Tues night. That shows this is really not where you need to get chicken wings. Maybe they do better options but when the name is "Mad for chicken" nail the staple. Sorry won't come back again wish you all well.
It was my first experience in brooklyn. All the meals are perfect. We were the bench of 35 Friends and we really enjoyed. From our side, 10/10 rating with Excellent review. Their staff with Paaji Acent was lovely.

Be very careful with the bill here! A bill that should have came out to like $60 came out to almost $100, why? They add the "tax" individually to every meal, so if the meal says $13, it comes out to $13.65 (example) but that's not the issue, the issue is they add this "tax", but at the end of the bill they add tax to the total of the whole bill, so tax on tax. They also include the tip in the bill (party of 3, I know the automatic tip inclusion is for 6ppl plus) and then finally they charge a fee for using a card. When it's all said and done you're paying like $30-$40 extra on b.s. charges. And when you question the bill they have the nerve to be annoyed with you! Smh. This is not ok. It's very sneaky. This is how places lose business. I wouldn't recommend, unless you like giving money away.

Stopped in because we saw potato balls on the sign out front as we were walking by and they did not disappoint! Ended up getting a couple of their soups as well and they were delicious too.

Nice place, loved the deco! One of the main reasons I visit Bareburger is the fries with asiago and truffle 🤤 and Boylan Cane Cola 🙌🏻. Wings were good too and the personal was very attentive

The portion sizes are really good and make it worth your buck. I would recommend the chicken options and the white rice/plantains (pollo a la parilla, chicharrón de pollo, or rotisserie chicken). Overall everything I ordered was tasty expect the steak with onions (bistec encebollado). Would not recommend their red meats as it did not taste fresh.
Pretty simple you order your food tell them what you want and they never messed up on my order. Workers are friendly. Mostly everything is cooked in front of you. If been going there since I was a teen and the prices has gone up
This place kills. I've been here maybe 15 to 20 times, and had a lot of the dishes. The wings are amazing, and so is the rest of the menu. I live near, and I'm so glad they took over this location. 1 thing, it takes a while to get your food. But all good food is worth the wait. 🤩
This burger place was amazing. So quiet and peaceful. Grabbed a quick lunch with my partner and we enjoyed every bite of our burger. What a joke for a business, I’m surprised they stayed open. Wait staff is horrible, no sense of service. Should i add that they can’t communicate with you because of the language barrier. AC is never on and you sweat all through out your meal, upon request they make a buzz about it! Then you have flies all over the place, one sat in my drink and i left half of my meal because it was sooo uncomfortable to dine. Overall the price you pay is not worth it considering all the details i mentioned. I can go on but the place is just horrible.

Literally have the worst staff working on the phone, I call to order for deliver most of the time and almost everytime they either come extremely late or they forget a couple simple items that usually comes with the order. They always say they are going to talk to their staff but they don’t care for customers as long as they get their money. It’s absolutely upsetting and I advise no body to order from here unless you want your food cold or and order that isn’t yours. Never ordering from this horrible staffed spot again!

Super expensive for the quality. Ordered breakfast and received 2 bacon strips halved with one stuby sausage. The eggs were fried with oil and it is not something I would ever recommend. Very bland over-all. $20 for breakfast is way too much for this place.

I bought a Sancocho soup and it was salty . One piece of meat the other piece was a bone with no meat . Next time throw the bones away.

Staple in the community! Fantastic Dominican style cuisine, tons of options. As a Latina, I know great Spanish food! I’ve been coming here for years! The owner is always present and friendly. They provide a vibrant authentic Latin atmosphere, which makes it feel like home. Most importantly, food is always fresh!

One of the best recommendations during my Brooklyn trip. I came here my first and everything I had was fantastic. I had the spicy chicken tenders with the elementary level sweet and sour sauce, fries with white snow cheese, mozzarella sticks and peach Soju. I ate and went back to the hotel and slept good. I ate there my first visit and the staff there were really chill. The food and the whole vibe is the main reason I made it a point to come back.
Best food in sunset period. The place is clean and always packed, fresh food packed with flavor. Definitely check out their hot table or stay and dine in. You definitely won't be disappointed. Staff is very friendly definitely my top sunset spot hands down 5 stars
Absolutely disgusting i basically order rice for 10 with i asked was pernil not fat but what did i go with a gross piece of fat a enough rice to eat for 2 days they are extremely racist towards black ppl ..white and Spanish ppl they treat with kindness black ppl come in they are cold and dismissive...im tired supporting others races that want my mind but cant respect as a human being because my hue is black...over it, it 2023 not standing for ..they place is terrible...

This chicken shop has to be the best in Brooklyn. U can smell the tasty chicken from a mile away. Clean shop, great customer service, and great price. The spicy chicken sandwich I ordered was sooooo delicious, fresh ingredients and tender chicken. If you are ever in the area come try it for yourself

Wow! Where do I start? Simply put: amazing!!! It is A must try chicken spot.I ordered the 2 peice with rice and salad. The chicken was tasty and juicy, the rice was cooked perfectly, and the salad was excellent and had many options to choose from. Amazing!!!
Food was on point. You can't complain with really hot fried chicken on cold night in New york. The white meat was tender, and best of all, it wasn't too oily, really nice flavor. The staff was friendly should definitely give them a try.

Ate here a few times and got food to go many many times. This place is big with seating inside and now since the pandemic there’s seating outside as well. They have all sorts of cooked, traditional, authentic, Dominican meals and desserts. They have fried fish, chicken, pernil, beans, tostones, soups, different types of rices, etc. their dishes for dine in as well as takeout are gracious and priced modestly. Everything looks clean. Waiter/waitresses as well as the people behind the take out are are nice . I love this place. I get it every chance I get if I’m in the neighborhood. Highly recommend.
I was in this location last night, and the food really was great. The hospitality was just as good. But in the end our dining experience turned sour when we received the bill. We ordered #5 the "Family Meal Pepper Steak with Rice" for $25.95. When the bill was given to us, it showed they charged me $36.25. I spoke with our waitress and she said the owner changed the prices, but unfortunately the owner had not updated the prices on the menu. She was apologetic but expressed that she could not do anything regarding the bill. I tipped her, as it's not her fault. I spoke with the gentleman behind the counter and expressed my concern. He said that it was the waitress' fault, as the staff is instructed to tell all the customers of the price changes. I explained it's ultimately the restaurant's responsibility to update the menu, and that it is a clear misrepresentation and disservice to the customer to not have the correct prices on the menu. He argued with me for a good 7 to 8 mins and reluctantly gave me $8.00 back in cash. He didn't give me the correct amount but by this time I was tired, and didn't want to make a scene. Before walking way I told him to please do not punish the waitress as she did nothing wrong. He replies "we don't do that", I hope they keep their word. I also expressed they should really update the menu and he gave me a stern look with no reply. I will not be returning to this place.

The beans was just a cup of water flavored beans, the pork chops we ordered seems to had been fried in dirty fish oil plus the were so dry and had a spoiled smell to them, we didn’t take no chances and decided to throw all of this food out, $45 bucks later and we are still hungry and have to look for another place to order some decent food! I would never ever go back to this place even if the food was free !!!!! Do yourself a favor and save your money… what a horrible experience.
Best chicken I have ever had and I am not a chicken person. I had the Kimchi chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. The sandwich tasted a little unfamiliar so I took the kimchi out and ate it separately. The boneless chicken are to die for!! The fries were excellent!

I walked into the diner on a hot summer morning to get breakfast for me and my significant other after visiting 2 other deli stores for breakfast, which were either closed or not serving food. I was greeting warmly by the waiter/ manager, who presented me with the menu. The menu items were tantalizing but not overwhelming, and was simple to navigate. I ordered 2 breakfast wraps. The food came out at the time the manager said it would.
I went back home to enjoy the food with my partner, and I had noticed that her food order was missing a key item in the wrap. I called the store and the manager offered his sincerest apologies and was willing to deliver me a new one.
I declined the delivery and chose to pick it up myself. When I had gotten there, I was prepared to give him tip for his kind, apologetic, and sincere efforts but he quickly refused my money.

This place has the crispiest wings coated in a rich, savory sauce and that's just the start of it. Their kimchi is delicious, as is everything they make with it - from fried rice to french fries. Relaxed social atmosphere makes this a great place for a night out with friends or even a casual date night.

Do Not order milkshake from place. They just give you ice cream in a cup. And give you a staw to drink with. 😆 employees don't know how to make milkshakes even though it's on their menu. They definitely charge you more for this so call milkshake
Great employees, they are super nice and helpful with preparing dishes. Sometimes they can take a little longer depending on what you want, but they do their best to keep it speedy. Paying with cash saves you a little but they accept credit/debit and Apple Pay too. Pernil and chicken from here is always great. ATM inside if needed.
Got take out one evening from here and opened the bag to some lovely surprises when I got home. Chicken was nicely packaged, they were definitely not stingy with their pickled radishes. On top of the nicely packaged order, the restaurant also gave some M&Ms 💕 Great as take out but would be even better in person, I would recommend dining in if you have never tried Mad For Chicken before.
IF I CAN GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD. I ordered through Seamless a cheese pie, and a chicken quesadilla. I was sent 5 slices of old pizza and TWO OF THEM WERE BITTEN!!!! The quesadilla was not chicken but mystery meat. The tortillas use for the quesadilla was straight Mission brand which was disgusting. I waited over an hour for horrible service plus my delivery driver was in the wrong building. I do not recommend eating here at all. I could not eat the pizza because it was BITTEN by a person
Best breaded chicken I have ever eaten. Juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. I recommend it in a spicy and mild coating. Super delicious hot sauce. French fries with "snow cheese" are also interesting in taste. You must try Soju, I chose the plum flavor. It is a light and not too sweet (advantage) wine with an alcohol content of about 12 to 15%. Fantastic and talkative service, they will be happy to tell you about Korean dishes. The place is spacious and beautifully decorated for Christmas. I highly recommend this place to lovers of Korean chicken, but also traditional dishes such as Kimchi jigae.
Good, possibly great. I ordered the camarones enchilados (shrimp in spicy sauce) which is typically garlicky + flavourful. Seems they skipped the flavour step this day + went for a bottle of one note hot sauce. I'll certainly try again with the camarones al ajillo + the pernil, so it's not a total loss.
Giving 4 stars because they missed my order notes with my beverages. However, the Chicken over rice was AMAZING ! The white Sauce , the chicken everything was seasoned to perfection

Take the review with a hint of salt since we live a little far out: We waited over 1:30 hour for the delivery, which ok, things get cold or soggy; not their fault and not to blame. But the food was bad. The chicken was very stringy like multiple times frozen, crust almost like glue, and taste very bitter. This was not fresh, well done, or prepped prior to order. The food here is definitely sitting for a day or two. The coleslaw was warm and bitter. The mashed potatoes had a very sour and chemical taste to them, where nothing I did could make them better. I suspect this place does not use fresh ingredients, does not use real/ up to standard methods or just makes the food for the week and sends it out through out. I dont know what to say other than, don't order from here because you will either end up with a bad night or possibly sick.

April 2020 - went to pickup some kimchi fries and fried soy & garlic chicken. Kimchi fries obviously got soggy by the time I got back home (45 mins) but still delicious 👌🏻. The chicken wings smelled so good the entire car ride — was still nice & crispy ❤️

Closest fried chicken spot by me so the one that I go to the most. They are available on ubereats for those who prefer delivery.
It's a takeout spot only. I go there for the food not the ambiance. It is clean inside with many signs of their menu items. There is usually a short line, the wait is not long.
I like that their fried chicken is usually crisp out of the box. Their fried fish are pretty tasty too. I haven't tried anything else on the menu.

Very good chicken. The Korean Fried Chicken is always amazing. Wasn’t as crispy as the first time I came. The spicy soy garlic is always a fan favorite. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The wings took a little longer than expected. Nonetheless, very tasty wings! Be sure to eat them as soon as them come out!

Really good Dominican food! Tastes authentic and not expensive, great service and cute Dominican decor! The tostones we're delicious :)
On est tombé sur ce fast food par hasard... Un endroit authentique, pas un truc de touristes... Décoration et agencement vieillots, seulement 3 ou 4 tables, c'est très petit et on y commande pour emporter généralement.
Nous on été un peu crevés, du coup on est resté manger à l'intérieur...
Et que vous dire à part qu'on y a mangé nos meilleurs burgers de notre séjour, et devrais je dire de nos 3 sejours! Oubliez les Shack, Nathan's, Counter ou Mac do...

Le resto se trouve juste à la station de métro ligne 7 station 21st-Queensbridge, la station juste après Roosevelt Island quand on vient de Manhattan. Ce resto est donc parfait pour manger après la visite de l'île où il y a très peu de point de restauration.
On y retournera pour notre 4eme séjour, c'est certain. Un vrai coup de cœur pour nous qui recherchions un peu d'authenticité à NY !

They have got Dominican dishes, rotisserie chickrn, beef stew, rice n beans etc. The food is ok. The service is so so, nobody is going to understand you, dont expect a lot, just point at something and hopefully you'll get it.
The last few times I went there they got my orders wrong, I asked for well done chicken, I got the most under cooked piece. I have asked for beef gravy, I have gotten chicken. Good people, they mean well, they just dont understand you.
