Living at Encore hasn’t been the smoothest ride for us. The management’s frequent inspections—three times in just two weeks—along with unannounced maintenance visits, have left us feeling like we’re constantly under a microscope. Their claims about odors in our apartment have been inconsistent and unsettling, ranging from dirty dishes and food to a pet we re-homed weeks ago, the explanations keep changing, and none of our guests have noticed any smells. Friends even stopped by to help us check for any odors. One knelt and put her nose down to the carpet and floors, and told us there was no odor. We’ve thoroughly cleaned our apartment and no visitors can find issues, except their staff. It feels like they’re gaslighting us.

This discomfort has impacted our daily lives—we’ve even hesitated to cook our favorite meals out of fear of further scrutiny. On top of it all, there are unsettling rumors circulating among neighbors about discriminatory treatment. While we can’t confirm these rumors, the overall atmosphere has left us feeling isolated and unhappy.

It’s worth noting that the odor they’re trying to trace in our apartment seems to be affecting another apartment, yet they’re focusing on us.

Additionally, when we experienced a ceiling leak a while back, presumably due to an issue in the apartment above ours, the management’s response was less than satisfactory. They made a hole in our ceiling during the repair process and left loud fans on for days, without considering our comfort. We even had to call them back later to fix the hole they left behind, highlighting their lack of initiative in keeping tenants comfortable.

Overall, our experience at Encore has been far from ideal.

The staff were accommodating and quick to respond and correct any maintenance and move in issues. We are enjoying our time at Encore 🙂

I have zero complaints about the whole application/apartment tour process. My apartment is exactly as I hoped as far as materials and such. Nice, quiet area and they keep the grounds clean and the gate maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful. I haven't tried put the amenities (pool and gym) yet, but will be soon.

BEST PRICES I’VE EVER SEEN with this kind of SQFT size….ESPECIALLY something this nice looking…newer built….awesome location & all the amenities they offer!!!! They have many different floor plans to choose from out of EACH 1, 2, & 3 bedrooms!! THEY EVEN GIVE AN OPTION TO PUT EVERYTHING IN YOUR APT. THAT THEY HAVE IN THE ONE THAT ARE STAGED!!! This apartment complex is one of the newest, cleanest, bigger sqft sizes with the best prices and location I’ve seen in a very long time if at all!!!! They have everything you can think of then some. The staff that is there to help along the way with the moving in process are so amazing and make it so easy.

Roxanne is a rock star. She does a great job leading the tours and showing the people we bring in all the great things this apartment has to offer. She is always responsive when we have questions and helps us out above and beyond. She is the best there is in Lake Charles.

We love it here! The move in process was very simple after approval and the front office is very fast with responding about any problems you may have. The pool is beautiful and it is very calm and peaceful here! The appliances are brand new and work fantastic! No complaints! Highly recommend!!

I just moved in March 1st. The staff was amazing in helping get everything together. We had a few hiccups but they made sure to accommodate me. This place is nice, fair prices and the area is so quiet. I’m happy to say I love my home.

I first learned of this property 6 months ago and told them I was interested in moving there when my old lease expired. They worked with me and stayed in contact with me and let me know when an availability came up. A month before my lease was up they let me know they had the perfect place for me and got me started on my paperwork and I moved into the apartment of my dreams! Plenty of privacy, quiet area and a view that I enjoy nightly that rivals some of the more expensive properties in town. And the best part is the price, only $21 more than I was paying before with more amenities! I've found a place that I'm going to be at for a while. :)
