The things I like here:
Love Roll
Spicy tuna roll
and the lemongrass chicken - it came with really nice, crunchy veggies (carrot, asparagus and zucchini).

The rock shrimp can be overcooked at times.

I liked their seaweed salad today - not as sweet as other places where it’s literally drenched with sugar. I like it not sweet.

And the spicy tuna salad was great too.

I’ll go back.

My family’s favorite Japanese restaurant in Long Island! We’ve been coming here to dine over 15+ years. Authentic Japanese food and great quality sushi.
They bring out edamame to start.

Sushi A is my go-to dish and every time it’s consistently good. Our favorite is white fish teriyaki. Texture of fish and sauce is to die for. Tempura udon is just perfect from broth to udon to tempura.
Fluke ponzu roll is so fresh. It comes with sauce on the side.
Many sushi combo and entrees come with miso soup or salad and they are so delicious.
We finish our meal with green tea ice cream. It’s perfect for weekday quick dinner or fun weekend dinner with friends and family.
Highly recommend Yamagucci restaurant.

Unpretentious savory delight. These words probably best describe and define a fine (and old) sushi restaurant in the heart of Port Washington area. This restaurant is located directly across from the LIRR station, so it makes sense for commuters to fall in love with this place.

However, you will immediately find out that this place is enamored by locals and tourists alike. I never lived in Port Washington, but this is one of my favorite sushi restaurants. No other place simply can catch up with Yamaguchi in terms of culinary excellence and the value. They just raised the price is Sushi A set substantially to $27. But where in NY can you get 8 pcs of top-notched nigiri + tuna roll. And a bowl of miso soup? And complimentary edamame? Please enlighten me if you know who can outcompete.

Seriously we need Yamaguchi in every town of America. It’s an understatement when I say I am getting sick of $150 omakase place taking over every major US cities. I don’t need golden spoon, I don’t need caviar on the torched salmon. I just need some good sushi meals under $30. Thank you Yamaguchi!

TLDR: Quaint little neighborhood sushi restaurant. Small place so make a reservation. Spicy Dumpling Soup, Toro/Ikura Roll, Grand Wazoo and JUNGLE LOVE.

I'm not sure how we ended up here but we came in for a Friday night. A few locals recommended it but I was pretty skeptical to be honest. The menu just read like something I don't care for but figured let's try it out.

It's small but dark and cool for a local date around town. We tried the cocktails, both had yuzu and they were pretty solid. The Spicy Dumpling Soup was very flavorful, kind of reminded me of instant noodle soup base with dumplings but not in a bad way - it was tasty.

Truffle fries and yogurt were solid. Spicy tuna crispy rice was standard.

Toro/ikura roll. The ingredients do the heavy lifting but this was great. Fatty, nice pops of salty brinyness from the roe, not too much rice.

Grand Wazoo. Spicy scallop, torched squid? Very interesting and very delicious.

Jungle Love. I don't know what this was supposed to be. An obscure list of ingredients but this thing was TASTY. Shrimp, avocado, goat cheese, brussel sprouts, imitation crab, tuna. As strange as this sounds - this baby slapped. Most memorable bites of the night.

I went in doubtful and left knowing I'll be back. Cheers.
They always have good, fresh seafood, reasonably priced and have cooked sushi options. Service is very good too.

I recently moved from Manhattan to Port Washington and thought the food was great. Normally, I am not a fan of menus that offer so many options, but everything my wife and I tried was good. (Would suggest to the owners to consolidate the special and house rolls a little.)

We had:
-Kobe Meatballs
-Tuna Cracker

-Eel Cucumber Handroll
-Tempura Shrimp Roll
-Dee Roll
-Port Washington Roll.

We liked the Port Washington Roll better than the Dee Roll, but both were great.

Service was good and on a Friday night it was busy but we got a table right away. Looks nicer on the inside than the outside might suggest.

Will make this my new go-to sushi place.

Highly recommend. I love the ambiance inside, the space is a bit small which gives them the time & attention necessary for every order. Each dish is a symphony of flavors that leave your tastebuds satisfied. Grateful to have a spot like this so close-by. The best quality sushi on Long Island, and some of the best I’ve had overall.

I would have given this place 5 stars however, the service was really bad. I'm not sure if they are understaffed or not but the white girl with blonde hair who checks people in at the front had a bad and smug attitude and didn't really care. Then the waitress was super busy and kept telling us to wait in the middle of us telling her our order, she would run off and not come back after a long time. She did apologize each time she came back though, maybe they are just understaffed and I felt like she was overwhelmed and busy.

The food was REALLY good!! Their General Tso's Cauliflower, Fluke Carppacio, Crispy Rice Tuna and the yellow tail was amazing! Their Sushi plate was amazing as well! With a little more improvement they can really become a NYC Michelin level sushi restaurant. The ambiance was nice but could use a little more work. All the guys working behind the sushi counter were very nice, friendly, quick, and did an amazing job!.

Food: Great quality of sushi. Hot foods are ok.
Service: They take reservations but tables are not ready by the reserved time for the most of the times.
Food is always good. The staffs are very generous. It is a great place to have a dinner with family.

My husband and I come to Tiga frequently and it is always A+++. Absolutely everything we’ve ever gotten there is amazing. From the specials, to the apps and the rolls it never disappoints. The Dynamo Hum roll has become my favorite sushi roll of all time, anywhere. The staff is always so nice and welcoming. Reservations are def needed as it is a cozy, small place with great ambiance. My husband and I always look forward to coming here :)
Great food, pleasant service, awesome atmosphere. The fish always keep fresh. Definity, my first choice. I love to have sushi here.

I never write reviews but I felt this place deserved it. The Yellowtail Asian Pear was possibly the best thing I’ve ever tasted. I consider myself a foodie and would say that dish was absolutely incredible. I ordered 2 on Wednesday and went back on Friday and had 3 lol. It was an experience and the quality of the food was excellent.

The food here is always delicious! The sushi and sashimi combo is worth the price and super fresh. The tonkatsu is always a good choice and cooked crispy. They give big portions for the soba noodles and the dipping sauce is seasoned perfectly. Service may be a bit slow, but everyone is kind and the food is worth the wait!

Hana has quickly become our choice for sushi in Port Washington. The quality is excellent, the service is attentive, the atmosphere is great, and the prices are perfect. Highly recommend making a reservation on the weekends.
Tonight I had the pleasure of dining at a sushi restaurant where I was treated with utmost care and respect as a blind diner. From the moment I entered the restaurant, I was embraced by an atmosphere of inclusivity and warmth. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was exceptional, making this sushi restaurant stand out as a shining example of hospitality and accessibility. The restaurant staff demonstrated remarkable sensitivity and understanding towards my visual impairment. They took the time to explain the layout of the restaurant, guiding me through each step and ensuring that I felt comfortable and safe in my surroundings. Their patience and willingness to assist me made me feel welcome and valued as a customer.

My favorite sushi spot on the North Shore. This place has most fresh tasting fish in the area. With a vast amount of options to choose from!

They make a mean lychee martini, and are accommodating from the moment you walk in.

I would definitely give this place a try, lots of seating so you'll always get a table. You can also do take out if your feeling more like staying home.

Their passion roll and dee roll are too die for! As well as their spicy tuna crispy rice and tuna dip! Cant wait to come back!
Sushi Great and Fresh . Is it Really good Passion fruit green tea with boba what I order. Anyone definitely try out passion fruit green tea. What she recommend me for drinks.

Let me start by saying Hana sushi was the best Chinese Sushi around about 1 year ago. The sushi was room temperature with fluffy rice and fresh fish that would melt in your mouth. I was impressed because I would only find this quality in authentic Japanese sushi restaurants. The Spicy mayo you would get was homemade white in color with red flake’s typical of an authentic Japanese sushi place.

However, today the Sushi was completely different! Quality was completely gone with new ingredients. Sushi was served chilled with mushy rice and dark orange spicy mayo premade typical of a standard Chinese sushi restaurant. The sushi served here now can be obtained in any sushi restaurant on Long Island and will be allot cheaper!

Anyone that values quality Sushi would understand the lost of quality. I hope the restaurant recognizes the issue and corrects it l, because this restaurant has the potential of being the best sushi around! However with increased inflation and Americans not caring about quality there would be no reason for a change especially if they are saving cost. Sad!

I decided to treat myself to dinner so I sat at the bar, and I was glad I did! Every part of the meal was fantastic. The drinks were excellent; I went on a cold, cold night and I can't recommend the hot house sake enough. The edamame is a fantastic portion for one. I got a sushi plate and they were all delicious, but the sweet potato rolls were just amazing. To finish my meal I had a cup of green tea, which was just perfect, and they have it at the ready so there's a cup in front of you just as you finish ordering it. Just a great meal from start to finish!

Most underwhelming Japanese food I’ve had in many years. Sashimi was ok but overpriced for the quality. Udon was inedible — overcooked and topped with cheap carrots broccoli onions and cabbage. Broth had 0 depth, just tasted liked onion water. Wait staff was polite and friendly, but for this price point I would not recommend or ever come back. There are so many other authentic Japanese places in the area.

We had been there for birthday dinner couple years. The service and food is amazing. The waiter is very nice.
Food was good for reasonable price. The restaurant has good atmosphere. Waitress is very attentive and owner/manager comes and greet you at your table. Very friendly.

I came on a Friday at the insistance of a friend. I tried the edamame dumplings, soft shell crab salad, the sushi platter a toro roll and their Yuzu cocktail. Each dish had a very familiar yet surprising taste. It definitely is not your traditional sushi but a fresh and new innovative take on the cuisine. The pairings of sauces and flavors are on point. Each individual bite has so many levels of flavor that it is indescribable. There's also a very good attention to service. Our waitress, Jennifer, was attentive and took her time to explain each and every dish so that even a sushi novice would feel at ease. I can't wait to go back.
Got the sushi for 2 . It's more of the value of I were to get these on separate order. Service was standard and the waitress were friendly. The soup came with it. The seaweed and tofu were fairly abundant compare to other places. The sushi were nicely presented and not bad. It's in the 4 stars category for the price. The only 1 star I took off was the rice were a bit large for the sushi. Compare to a Japanese own one, the portion and vinegar were right one point. So the rice part in the sushi 🍣 can be improved. Otherwise it's good place And will come back.
It is one of the few authentic Japanese restaurants in Long Island. Some of the reviewers here have not been to Japan I have. As well as most of the top Japanese restaurants in NYC and the country. some of the reviewers are used to cheap sushi from other ethnicities pretending to be Japanese.
The only reason for 4 stars is they don't have uni. They only have standard fish.
But it is very fresh and I have been going for years and BTW I live in the city as Long islanders like to call it. But I have dealings in LI.

I’ve had takeout from Aiko quite a few times and they’ve never disappointed. But tonight they AMAZED me - my fiancé and I shared the sushi and sashimi dinner for 2 and we will never get anything else ever again. Every piece was delicious and the fact that we got to pick 2 special rolls to include with the dinner made it the most perfect meal. If you’re wondering what to eat for your date night, do yourself a favor and get this!
I was very excited to try this place since it had some many good reviews. Maybe it was an off night for the restaurant. We ordered the gyoza appetizer it was excellent but are main dishes were average at best. The sushi was cut too thick in my opinion and I was not impressed with the toro. The service was good and they have us some complimentary fruit.
Best Sushi in Long Island! Super cool vibe and friendly service. The warm mushroom salad is so tasty and I love the different textures. The sushi was super fresh and they even have Toro which is my favorite. Will be going back soon.

This is my go to sushi delivery in port. Every time they throw in some extra food and everything is done right. It's really easy to order online and customize the rolls. I got my delivery tonight in like 15 minutes!!

Not bad. Have been here twice already and definitely a nice place. I do wish the menu had some more options, but the sushi is pretty good. It was very loud the first time we came on a weekend, but weekdays seems to be a bit more relaxed. Would recommend if you're a sushi lover.

This place is great! I’ve tried a lot of sushi places and this is currently my top Long Island spot. Always super fresh and the service is great. Truffle Tuna roll is a must and the free edamame & ice cream is a nice touch. Been going back every weekend.

Yamaguchi does a great job of handling massive take out orders and servicing dining customers. Though sushi service can be slow at times but the service itself is amazing. The fish is top-notch and their rice is very well seasoned and moist. The place serves chef's special and that's the best to get in my opinion. Cooked food is pretty good as well especially their egg (tamago), which might be the best one around. Recommend calling ahead for weekend reservations.
