Food was fine but stupidly over priced and tiny portions. We almost laughed at how little we ate compared to the price
Crab cake had the consistency of cat food. Tuna tartar bland. Pigeon was cold. Just the desserts were nice. No fresh food
The food was disgusting and the service is horrible I do not recommend

Look I used to work in food service so I understand having a bad day or lightly ribbing someone you see. However, to very openly mock people and point them from across the restaurant because they ordered “too much food” or make snide remarks very audibly is more than a little bit far in my opinion. I get it, you don’t have to serve anyone you don’t want to, but if you wanna make any money I suggest getting people who act like decent human beings. There’s also a reason you’re getting some very pointed reviews towards that person in the glasses. I suggest you don’t sarcastically say every time you come up to our table “are you sure you don’t wanna order more food?”. Bad for optics :)

I'm not the type to write bad reviews about restaurants but I think there is a first time for everything.

I came here to dine with my best friend because this place is an all-you-can-eat buffet. We ordered a variety of dishes and while the food was basic tasting, the service was one of the worst I have experienced in a while now.

We were publicly mocked by the waiters here. The oldest server here, the one with round glasses, short of stature started the mocking by pointing fingers at us from a distance. All the waiters joined her, thinking they were discreet.

Each time they passed by our table they would ask if we wanted anything more to eat while visbly mocking us. Either letting out a chuckle or sharing "amused" glances between themselves.

When we asked for the bill, the oldest waiter jokingly asked us again if we don't want anything more to eat. Also, when I have asked her for a glass of water she refused to bring me one.

All in all, a terrible experience. A place where they don't respect neither their customers or the food they make.

very rude waiters, mocked me and my friend while we were eating and kept asking us in a sarcastic manner if we want to eat more. I see a lot of similar reviews here about the waiter with glasses.
The food is ok, but not worth it because of the service. Im sure there are better buffets in Madrid.

Great place to enjoy a Teriyaki in Madrid. Very friendly staff
Best sushi place in Madrid.

Sashimi is a must, and the tempuras are great!
Great food, but overrated. Great quality and service, very mid atmosphere. Katsu Sando was the only dish I would say it was a little bit of a disappointment for 70€.

Good food, great ambience. 100% recommend the Arab dessert.
The service here was excellent, but the food was a bit strange and not really that good. We had the spicy toro roll which had a strange watery mayo sauce, and the toro itself had some inedible pieces still attached to the fish. My partner had to extract it for every piece. Would try other places instead

Family run Japanese restaurant with authentic flavours and cooked with love and technique. A gem in Madrid.
Very good Japanese restaurant , multiple options and dishes, good service and friendly staff especially Louis .
Excellent Japanese restaurant, very good menu
FUKU is my top one place to treat myself. The flavour, the quality of the seafood and Wagyu, and the service are all very impressive. If you wish to taste something out of the menu, you should reserve with them.

Love this place! All you can eat and trust me, you can't eat half of their menu options. Had been there many times and haven't tried everything yet. The "Sangría" jarr is my favourite drink there. Staff doesn't seem too friendly in regards to more Latin ways, but they are very nice and focused on having everyone served properly. Very efficient staff.
I'll be back soon!
Was able to get a table but needed to finish diner before 9:30pm for the one who made a reservation at our table. Had enough time. Sadly, no staff can speak English at least to help out explaining and during ordering. Food tasted great though. Its like fusion but somehow kept balance with the concept. Although, i would prefer for the interior to be a bit brighter. Couldn't really see what we were eating.
We came in for lunch. The sashimi is an exquisite delight, melting in your mouth with fresh flavors. The spicy tuna tartar offers a modern twist, although we found it to be rather too salty than spicy. The lobster tempura is with light, crispy batter. The jabali gyoza is my personal favorite, and the caldo is a delight. We also had their Rocher 99 and cheesecake 99. Attentive staff and meticulous presentation complete an authentic dining experience.

Price €€€€
Rice seemed microwaved, food was not tasty. Service is not the best. Design looks like erotic shop. Don’t waste time coming here.
Extraordinary, Michelin star worthy, and the best service of the chain. High prices, but the quality is good.

Authentic Japanese tepanyaki - excellent quality, especially the rice , solomillo and pez mantequilla - and service. Plan to return very soon, great overall experience
Honestly i was very excited to go to this restaurant. I had two friends that had recommended me. But our Experience was not good. We tried three sushis, they lacked flavour. The quality dísappointed.

Not bad yet not among the best when it comes to sushi places that offer all you can eat option..

The sushi doesn't have much variety in comparison to other restaurants, it's flavor is kind of very weak and it lacks sauces..

Service in good yet they forgot a couple of plates and brought others very late..
We visited Monsieur Sushita in May 2023 with my father to grab a quick dinner. Dishes are fresh and very well presented, although a little spicy (no pre-warning). Service is polite and quick, although music is VERY high and communication is a little bit difficult sometimes. Recommended if you pass by!

Lovely place, lovely service, awesome staffs.

I ordered mixed sashimi, nigiris of 2 toro & 4 salmon, and a bottle of parkling water. As my friend and I were served with sparkling water, I realized that my wallet was missing and my friend and I had to run to find my wallet. Despite of consuming some sparkling water, they were fully aligned with our situation and let us go wishing us luck. We eventually encountered my wallet approx. 20 mins later at our hotel ( 10 mins away via uber), I was not only thankful to God but also the staffs of the restaurant. I ended up going back and having the food that we ordered, also gave them a decent tip for being nice.

I will def come back again on my next visit to Madrid.
Great place with amazing atmosphere... Delicious and tasty dishes. And the waitress was very kind and friendly and lovable. (La kim)
The place itself is absolutely beautiful, plants, chandeliers, cozy place.
Since I am vegetarian i didnt try too many things but still managed to have nice dinner. So they had veg sushi rolls, beans, samosas. Nice.

I don't get this place.the most overrated thing I've ever seen. 5€ for the most basic below average ham N cheese toastie with precut supermarket low quality products. Ran in to the barista in the bathroom and he went straight back to making coffee without washing hands. I feel swindled.

Traditional Japanese restaurant with lights & shadows. Great service and good product well prepared, specially classic thick-cut sashimi and classic raw fish and seafood nigiris. Flambée toro and charcoal ell were a fail this time.
Good range of sake and acceptable wine list
50-60€/each
🍽Food: 5/5
🤵🏽‍♂️Service: 4/5
🪑Ambiance: 4/5 (Entrance is unattractive)

📝Notes: I found out about this place as the parent company also owns Sushibar Tottori. So I decided to check it out and see if I enjoyed my meal as much as I did at the other restaurant. After trying out their food, I can confirm that the quality is up to par with the food. The service was decent, sometimes I had to wait for the waiter or waitress to get my attention which could be a bit annoying. And lastly for the ambiance, I was a bit disappointed to find my table a bit dirty in regards to crumbs left on most of the seats, I asked the host and he was happy to resolve the issue.

PS. The entrance of the restaurant is very unattractive as the garbage is on the right hand side and a bunch of stickers are on the wall next to the door. When I first arrived at the location, I hesitated, I thought I entered from the back or something. I think the restaurant should look into renovating the entrance and make it feel more exciting and welcoming :)

📝Notes: I didn’t like this restaurant much, its a very average place. Average food and ambiance. Once you step in, you know this isn’t a high end sushi place. The food was okay, nothing special. I feel like this is a place to visit if all of Madrid ran out of reservations 😅

The food was great
We had a lot of fresh fish and the scallops were very nice .
My fav was the truffle miso soup and the sashimi plate.
Although the food was great, the service wasn’t the nicest. We didn’t really feel welcomed and no one was paying attention.
Very good food and service. I 😍 all foods. Only the Moji's not to much good.

First restaurant in Madrid serving Spanish-Japanese fusion and awarded with one Michelin star. And one of the best places in town to try sushi in a informal place with a superb service and a selected wine list. The terrace is a must in summer.
Amazing sushi spot in Madrid. Nigiris are unbelievable. Ask for the fatty tuna gunkan and you'll be surprised.
One of the best sushi restaurants we've ever visited! The toro tartare was one of the best dishes I ever tasted. We really enjoyed the atmosphere & the staff was very attentive.

Went there for a dinner on the terrace. I knew the restaurant is superb in it's product selection, but I could confirm in first hand once again.
Super fresh products with the best quality level, I enjoyed the prawns, it's incredible to eat the heads, and then of course the sushi selection. Staff is also 5 stars, making you feel well attended from the beginning to the end of the experience. Amongst top 3 japanese in Madrid with no doubts

High-quality sushi in an understated, yet elegant environment.

Wonderful plating and presentation. Staff were friendly and rather attentive. Lighting over the sushi bar was warm around 2750K, but the overhead lighting for behind the sushi bar where the staff were preparing the fish was around 5000K—somewhat of a discordant look.

Food scores:
Gyoza: 7/10; serving temperature slightly too low, too homogeneous and soft of an exterior texture, and the flavor profile was a bit one dimensional.

Nigiri Zushi
Snapper: 9/10
Hotate: 9/10
Sake: 9/10
Ika, regular: 6/10
Ika, special: 7/10
Akami: 5/10
Toro: 8/10
Saba: 8/10
Tako: 6/10

Negitoro maki: 8/10

Tempura, mixed: 8.5/10
Miso: 4/10 too salty
We tried this place for our anniversary, best dinner we've ever had. We recommend going in early if you like eating in peace, Because it wont be that noisy while having your meal.
Overall delicious sushi and hot dishes, Our total is €84 we thought it will be much pricer than that. Only dissapointment is the so called fuku apple dessert ... doesnt have taste at all.

Wonderful! Starting with the dining room - upscale and elegant. Next the service - attentive, friendly, and plentiful. I have really only had sushi here so I have to review that. The sushi is excellent. The flavor is amazing and not overwhelmed by heavy sauces. The fish is the star, as it should be. High quality, fresh, and best of all they don’t give you paper thin slices. Here you will find quality at reasonable prices.

Really nothing to say: one of the best sushi experience I ever had!

Kabuki is one of the three restaurants in Madrid that created the rise of sushi masters in the capital of Madrid. I remember when the only two sushi places in Madrid were a decrepit place in Chueca and Kabuki. Nowadays, the capital of Madrid has dozens of decent sushi restaurants but Chef Sanz's Kabuki is clearly a pioneer. He changed it all when it comes to sushi and that is a monumental contribution to the culinary environment of Madrid. As a restaurant, Kabuki continues to lead the scene of Japanese restaurants in Madrid. If you are in Madrid and feel like sushi, go to Kabuki. That simple.

I loved the tataki vacuno nigiri and anguila y foie (individual sushi). I'm quite fussy about sushi (living in Asia & having tasted good sushi for all of my life has spoiled me). It was worth the money.

I did not appreciate the gyozas de langostinos so much. I have had better gyozas before. The decor of the place is amazing.

I have been a fan and a regular of this place for the last few years. I did post a very positive review two years ago. We went again today and we were surprised by a few changes in the menu. Notably, some of the iconic nigiris like ikura and unagui are not available anymore but replaced by "cuenquitos" that contain less fish, more rice and are more expensive. Vegetable tempura has also been removed in favour of more expensive options.

The picture clearly shows what you get when you go for cheap food! Was unlucky to visit with friends who wanted to try... Japanese restaurant owned by Chinese people. Cheap and low quality fish served to those who are looking for a cheap eat. The reason why there are so many good reviews is a raffle advertised on restaurant! Avoid, avoid and avoid or go and try at your own risk!

Going down in quality and service. I used to love this place. Today, though the lunch menu is ideal in choice and quantity, I was very disappointed. The ginger never arrived, the maki rice was dry and more suited to tika masala than to sushi. In addition two of my makis were "dead ends" , if at least the rice was adequate. Also the cleaning needs a bit of revision. I hope you correct so I can enjoy this plac again

This is a Michelin stared restaurant and well worth it. The sushi was a great experience for us that evening, great waiters made it great. Even though it is Micheline star they don't have dress code or anything. Try it
Very good food. A wide variety of dishes. Everything is fresh and made on the premises. Overall, a very nice food experience. Service is great. You definitely can't go wrong with this address. Just make sure you have a reservation as it can easily be overbooked.

I suggest to skip all none fresh fish items and get into sashimi and nigiri fish dishes.
Tataki de toro (scalps) and seared tuna and salmon nigiri were fantastic.
Update 2 (feb 2022) - Food was good, same « carte » but I felt like the quality was a little down and prices a bit up. Same team and maître.

Update 1 (June 2019) - after our fifth time there, still super enthusiastic about the place.

Original review (sept 2018) -
One of the best sushi place in Madrid. 100% recommended. Super staff. Excellent food.
If Kabuki has one Michelin ⭐️, 99 Sushi should have ⭐️⭐️! I am sure the Red Guide will correct that soon!

Amazing! More than 5 stars this is more than food, this is art!
We have been several time now and every time it's an amazing experience it's simply delicious, amazing, new, and somehow reliably perfect. Whatever we have eaten - but we do have our favorites - is amazing. I can only recommend this place it's almost always fully booked, reserve in advance and be prepared it's expensive but so worth it!

One of the few Japanese restaurants in Madrid run by real japanese. Here you will find authentic Japanese food. The menu is not as fancy as some fusion top restaurants, but all the ingredients are really high quality. Sushi is super fresh (and you will pay its price) with a very ample array of fish to choose from.

The maki rolls are also very tasty and beautifully presented. They do also have specials most of the days and cheaper lunch menus. The decor is elegant without being too posh. But the best thing is the service and the really friendly owner. If you've ever been to Japan, here you will find one of the closest experiences of Japanese food and hospitality.

Awesome experience. We ordered some sushi, nigiris, sashimi and tempura and everything was great, I think anything you order at this place is a good choice.
Best sushi in Madrid!
I tried quite a lot of places and this has the best taste among all I tried. The price - I think we don’t need to talk about that in detail ;)
I suggest the eel sushi !!!!
This is seriously one of the BEST sushi bars in the world. The fish is all top quality and extemely fresh. The service here is also top notch. They really take care of all the small touches as well like taking and hanging your coat. It is a bit expensive but totally worth it.
This is a Japanese restaurant, but with a fusion touch. They take classical dishes and give them a Spanish touch. The combination is sublime for my taste. It is quite similar to Kabuki in my opinion.

We arrived early, and chose to sit in the bar, watching the sushi chefs work. I would recommend doing this, specially if you are 3 people or less, as it really gives another dimension to the meal, watching how they skillfully prepare the food.

We started with the miso soup, which had some truffle on it. Very tasty. The usuzukuri was very interesting as well, as you could see the mixture of traditional sashimi and spanish flavors working really well.

Then we had mostly nigiris. All of them were excellent. Personally, I really liked the sardine and anchovy combo, the butterfish with truffle and the scallop, but you cannot really go wrong with anything else. From previous visits I remember the tiger prawn tempura fondly.

Excellent and amazing quality of fresh fish. Restaurant run by real Japanese people. The best for me so far. If you like the 'all you can eat' places, this is NOT the place for You. This is high quality one.
