Haven't been for a while but wasn't disappointed. The staff were lovely and fun. The store was clean and tidy. Plenty of parking and an all round lovely store.
The petrol station is not open 24hrs
The lovely staff here will always get five stars, but a recent unfortunate development gets one - new awful security wiring on most of their bottles of spirits, wines, etc., it's horrible!
It totally obscures the bottle, including the label and brand detail, and prevents any inspection of the bottle.
According to many staff I've spoken to at various stores, they've had lots of similar negative customer feedback.
They're also more difficult to remove at checkout, and they haven't reduced the amount of bottles stolen!
We all know that supermarkets secretly hate their customers, hence the reduction of manned tills/increase in wretched self-service tills, removal of deli counters (except lovely old Waitrose), etc., but this is a nasty development too far.
Until this is reversed, and whoever's idea it was is demoted to backroom admin, I shall continue my lucrative purchases elsewhere, and may as well do the rest of my shopping there as well!

Nice store, decent selection of stock but the best thing about the store has to be the friendly staff - more specifically Angie. She’s so lovely and makes my day every time I come in store. Great customer service makes all the difference and she’s just so lovely and will go above and beyond to help you. Thank you to Angie for always being so kind and friendly to me. I’m a new mum and she always makes me feel like a super hero when I leave.
First and last ever visit. Was stood looking at breakfast items, staff member came towards me and stood directly in front of me, no acknowledgement I was there and totally ignored me. When challenged she just laughed in my face. Spoke to the "manager" who rather than apologise, said she didn't see anything and then allowed the arrogant staff member to laugh and argue even more. Disgusting customer service! Said manager refused to apologise for " her staff" behaviour. If that is the calibre /attitude of her team and she feels that is acceptable behaviour then God help anyone else who has an issue- which it appears there have been and will continue to do so. And yes staff member was an arrogant cow. Never ever been treated like that in a store before! Both staff members refused to provide names, however the arrogant woman was Sarah! Clearly hiding Name badges is a common thread here!

Loads of parking spaces available. A good variety of groceries and meat always there. Pharmacy open all days
Tried to by a monster in this tesco and the girl who came to check my id refused to sell it to me because my friend didn't have id. We wernt even paying together and as far as I can gather from the tecso policy website I should have been served. There was 0 indication that I was going to give the drink to my friend any way. I could understand if I was buying two or if she'd seen me ask him which one he wanted. But i didn't. Never had this issue before even when with my 13 year old brother. So went down the road to the other tesco and was served without even needing my id

Terribly understaffed, just spent 10 minutes waiting at the self checkout because they dont understand mobile coupons mean you have no physical coupon to put in the machine. One member of staff in the shop until and he was behind the till completely swamped so he couldnt help.

Usually, staff are friendly but a guy who was working there today decided to be rude and give attitude because he mumbled and didn't speak up as he chose to block the self-checkout with a shelf so you had to walk around which is pointless, and will confuse people making them think they have to wait in the queue which is to be served by staff.

Its a generic Tesco Express. Its handy for Foregate Street railway station. The staff could be more engaged...
Good for most grocery shopping. My only complaint was that they didn't stock their own brand of Assam loose leaf tea when I called in.🥺
On 31.07.23, I shopped at this branch on Worcester High Street and made a purchase. An associate then followed me out and said I had not paid. I had paid but was happy to return to the shop to help clear this up. When we checked the till to try paying again, the balance showed 0.00 and it said payment had already been made. The associate exited out of that screen and said I had not paid. I then pulled up my credit card app to check that I would not be charged twice if I rescanned the groceries, and it also showed that payment had been made. I showed the charge to the associate but she insisted there hadn't been payment. I'm unsure how the charge would appear on my card had I not actually paid in the first instance, and she didn’t have an explanation.
None of the four associates there had any response except to say that I should speak to the manager. I asked to do that and was told the manager was not in. This obviously wasn't very helpful customer service, so I rang Tesco's customer number and they said a declined charge can take a day or two to refund on the card. But this was not a declined charge, and there wasn't a refund because the associates said there was nothing to refund. I explained this, but the associate didn't seem to understand (neither do I). I was told there is no recourse or even a way to escalate my concern for further review (which is hard to believe).

After asking what Tesco brands there were I was shown 4 areas where there were Tesco named items. After working out the area and the brands it works out there is 4% Tesco to 96% top brand. So why is it called a Tesco express when it sells more brand names than. Spar, cost cutters, and 4 more top names. Not so much a money saver and the staff agree.

Staff gave me a bad attitude so I reported it to the manager and also told her and apology would be nice which she agreed but still didn't give me an apology which is as bad as the staff in the shop absolutely disgusting customer service won't be shopping there again and I shall spread the news about bad attitude in that shop so they will lose custom maybe they should have thought about how to treat customers the right way instead of the wrong way
Came in on Saturday , i’m new to the area and wasn’t familiar with the layout of the store . I was lost and i couldn’t find the laundry detergent i wanted so asked this lovely young woman who i believe her name was Milly and she helped me with a smile on her face . Fantastic service

I was in earlier was getting sandwiche and chocolate and a bottle of milk but I only had £5 in cash because I drop my purse in town have to cancel both of my card I wan a say thank you for security and a lovely lady for helping me on of shorten of cash and they let me ago I am so happy thank you
Following frustrating use of Tesco Mobile app regarding a faulty sim ,attended this store today and was dealt with by Emily.
Emily can only be described as fantastic,she went the extra mile to resolve mu issues.

Always use Tescos for most of our food shops. Everytime we've been its been clean, tidy and helpful staff.
The smell here is appalling. I can only compare it to a sewage works. I went once before and thought it must have been a one-off, but i visited again a month later, and if anything, the smell was even worse.
The worst of the smell seems to be right where the fresh fruit and vegetables are. I genuinely had to walk bavkout and go elsewhere to shop. I notice many other reviews say the same thing, why has nothing been done!

Decent selection and friendly staff. A bit of a pain when you need help on self service though as often the staff aren’t interested - although the security guard with the long grey hair is always very helpful
A good range of products. Some price matching going on , but always check price per 100g etc as some 'deals' can be misleading.
It’s way too small and there isn’t enough room to get through some of the aisles, especially with other customers and staff stocking shelves.
Very handy being rite nx to Foregate Street train station for picking up a snack if you are travelling somewhere

Went and put £25 on electric card they had no receipts for transaction told me was successful. Wasn't so went back told me can't give receipt for transaction. So contacted British gas transaction had not gone through. Took £25 and did not care. Mark the manager needs some lessons on customer satisfaction. Would be suitable to work in a funeral parlance
Amazing selection and very friendly staff. Fresh bakery out by 6.15am. Even on a Sunday. If something isn’t out they do check it in the back and restock very quick. Staff has been going for the extra miles with their customer service. More Tesco store should be run like this!
At 11:54 tonight despite being open until 12 I was refused cigarettes. Not impressed .. apparently the lights go off and key cupboards lock at 11:58 .. I doubt that very much . There were 7 staff chatting in a huddle and several frowned sorry faces at me . I’m no Karen and don’t complain much but I really hate when the team decide to close early because they can . Opening time is until midnight not 11:54 😣
5 years ago I worked there in 2018 and I was wrongfully sacked, they are miserable staff and I only lasted 3 months there because I was most popular guy w/ customers and good at my job, so they got jealous. Recently end of december 2022 they ghosted me from a job Interview setup though the jobcenter, kept me waiting for 40 minutes over schedule as I timed it. What a joke of a place, I vowed never to set foot in there ever again and I'm so glad I kept my promise to myself. Antonio lied saying he was "doing my job for me" and Richard lied saying I was "scared of shoplifters" I left there and went on to find a better job that paid more, so obviously I am too good to set foot in there, if I do... Then feel free to go pick up a local copy of the Worcester News and I'll tell you all about it. I have blacklisted them from my shopping experience. Good riddance. Shame as I am a fan of Tesco, but Foregate Street Express is rotten to the core. In about 2040 we should see full staff replacement, hopefully.
Friendly staff good store layout isles clearly. Located on the high street. Taxi rank across the road. Bus station down the road that runs along side McDonald's.
Just tried to do our Christmas fresh food shopping where to begin. The vegetable isle was a poor show the bags of sprouts didn’t look very fresh and were that small by the time you’d topped them there’d be nothing left to cook, very disappointing. No broccoli just bags of trimmed steamed broccoli. As for what was left looked like it had been there all week brown and wilted. Moving on to the meats there was more out of date stuff on the shelves than stuff with at least a 2 day life span. In the end we Abandoned our trolley and made our way to Aldi where we got everything we needed and at half the price & fresher. Safe to say we won’t be shopping at Tesco’s again 👎
Staff are friendly however when shelf stacking hard to manoeuvre as a small shop.

Pope's in to get a few things as we had a holiday cottage nearby. Was looking for paracetamol and was obviously looking lost when a young lad came and asked me if he could help. I said yes he pointed to the correct aisle. Not sure if he was on shift or not as he had a back pack on over his uniform. A very well trained staff member I must say.
Helpful staff if you can't find it on the shelf they will check out the back for you and know there regulars very well
Very impressed with the store manager and staff who were so helpful today in looking for a trolley that my mother in law with dementia had misplaced. They really could not have been kinder or more helpful. I am so grateful to them.

don't know their own rules on selling energy drinks, says 16 on the shelf but apparently you have to be 25? Then was told 18? Joke of a shop need a staff meeting to get the policies in place so they know what they can and can't do. Edit: The weekday/daytime staff are amazing can't fault them, the staff who work weekends and late at night however...

This is place is unbelievable. Never had petrol like it. Great smell, atmosphere and convenience. Top day out. (Pay at pump unavailable though, but can't knock it)
I used to work here, like most Tesco's a bit of a dump to work in but shopping here is ok, pricing is steep compared to big store down the road. Staff tend to be Non Playable Character types, not a single attractive member of staff as of june 2019 to brighten my day. I Don't think i'll ever return and I don't need to as it's a bit out of the way.

Always a queue. The door is annoying. Should have an automatic one. Staff are OK. They're always talking to one another and tend to ignore the customers at times. Just to add, over the past few weeks, staff are very pleasant. Maybe they read my review. Keep smiling.
Lots of lanes but not much stuff in the garage itself but you do have a massive 24 store just next to it so you probably don't need it. You can pay at pump and there are extra long hoses
Great service, very helpful and sells a wide range of items as supermarket but on a smaller scale.
Paid by Apple Ipay, told my card was declined, my bank confirm payment was authorised. Returned to speak to the duty manager who checked on office system, but instead of coming back to me sent an assistant who shouted across the store ' let him have it' - I was disappointed by the customer service and totally embarrassed by the whole experience.
