Bought 10 mangoes 2 days ago because of a good sale. All mangoes are rotten. Every single one of them.
I hope I get a refund or I'll never go there again.

Whole Foods Market is a grocery store that stocks organic produces, which are sold at higher prices. I don’t usually go here, because of that, but I do like to come here once a while to try their products compare to ones that I usually get from typical grocery stores.

It also has other vendors that serve pizzas, deli, and other types of food. They also have a buffet full of food that we can get. I also like their to-go meals since they seem fresh, healthy, and tasty. The last time I got one, it tastes really good.

Again, it’s not somewhere I go for groceries usually due to expensive costs, but it’s nice to come here once a while to get organic, healthy foods.

Whole Foods original tiramisu cake is amazing. There wasn’t any today but there was a tiramisu cream cake. Pretty good. But too much cream not enough cake. See for yourself. It was way too sweet. I would’ve enjoyed it more if there was more cake though.

Staff seems like family, and are friendly to customers. They are usually helpful if you need to locate a grocery item.

They have security on site during open hours, and they're observant of the store environment, yet nice.

Starbucks staff is super, and make great coffee! Love how they decorate their space!

Although there are homeless people in front at times, they don't bother you specifically. Except some mothers sit outside with their babies, not the safest situation...

Overall, prefer to go out of my way to shop here, instead of Raley's... Just because they are kind.

This review is a shout out to Z. I’ve always had a good experience at this Safeway, but Z makes it a little more fun and engaging. So many times I’ve been in line and barely gotten any acknowledgment from the cashier’s. I get it. Z is a jewel, enjoy her while you can, she’s headed for greatness!!!

This Safeway seems neglected. Customer service is lacking, they appear to never be properly staffed during the busy hours, shelves are unorganized and the frozen sections usually have a thick layer of ice on most of the items implying they've all defrosted and re-froze.

I've currently been sitting at 1 of their 2 "Drove Up & Go" spots waiting on my online order for almost 30 minutes. No one inside could assist and no one answers the number it says to call upon arrival.

Heavily considering switching to another grocery store.

Apparently some dumb worker here doesn't want to share the code to the bathroom so I'll give it to you instead it's 03090....you know you come here and buy overpriced eggs and lettuce but can't pee while you're doing it. I'll make sure you can access the restroom, again it's 03090. Pretty sure she just couldn't remember 5 number code so she made some dumb excuse that the bathroom was closed when it wasn't.

***upate: next trip to safeway, we get to the register to find that there is no cashier, and it's self checkout only....$300 bucks worth of groceries left in the cart and we walked out. You want premium prices and can't even provide a cashier. How do you expect people to cash out hundreds of dollars worth of items at a self checkout??? This is the worst run grocery store. All the employees are rude and lazy.

I've had personally a horrible experience with Customer Service - multiple times and no one calls me back at this Safeway in the past 3-6 months of current staff they have. They do not ever get back to you or call you back.

I had a gift card damaged when I brought it in, they wanted my ID and information and took it in the back of their store. I called in at the number for the gift card, and asked if there was a report case and they said no, your store never called in for the damaged card or mentioned it in the past week.

I also know one of the managers was having sex with one of my friends who worked here, and the guy was married. I hope your wife is happy about that.

It's pretty crooked as a business here, but I am not going to try to embarrass this store more than what it is and go too much into depth.

Your store needs better communication, better higher staff and practices onto how to establish your business. I wanted to work here, but truthfully I don't think the people you hire already is the problem.. no call backs ever and the managers you have had are kind of messed up.

I don't like being forced to use register in the liquor dept if I don't want to use self checkout.. Not cool for members if AA. 3 days in a row now. Just plain thoughtless of Safeway or is it specifically the management ?

Popped in to grab a fresh sandwich in the deli. Erica was behind the counter making a breakfast sandwich for another customer. It was so beautiful that I almost changed my mind.
One can tell that she takes pride in her craftsmanship and customer service. I asked for onions and she noticed the ones in the tray were old and wilted. She took the time to cut fresh ones. I wish I would have taken a picture because it was by far better than the advertised sandwiches. My mouth was watering as she wrapped it.
She asked if I wanted it cut in half where other deli clerks don’t so I was much appreciative.
The sandwich tasted fresh and the crunch of the sour dough was perfect. I’m so thankful for the detail Erica took because the fresh red onions made a huge difference and the crunch of the cucumbers were delicious. I would have been super disappointed with the whimsy wilted ones. Lol
Thank you Erica for your stellar customer service…it didn’t go unnoticed.

On my way home today, I went to this store just to get milk and iced tea after work.
Only the self check out and wine section cashiers were opened at that time, this incident around 5:30 pm. So, I was waiting at the shelf checkout to get my turn, it’s a long line at the shelf check out.

I saw a guy is going to open another cashier, his name is Carlos, he called his friends which they are in front of me (2 guys) so I followed behind them. Then, while he scanned the items for his buddies he told me “ Mam, I am closed” I didn’t say anything just go back to my line in the shelf check out. Then, I heard Carlos called another girl way behind me to go to his stand so he can help her, which according to him, she is buying the gift card, and I came to Carlos and asked him, you just said to me that you are closed and why you are helping her?
I was so furious for this kind of behavior.

I walked to the customer service to complaint to the store manager and no one is there, waiting and waiting. And, I saw Carlos open for other customers. Another female cashier told me that the store manager left and she is another manager that can run my items, I am already not happy with the whole situation and just want to go home and file complain to Safeway Corporation.

I expect a better customer service from Safeway, I understand for 1 time if Carlos wants to help his buddies, but not for the 2nd time and he opened for the 3rd time.

This store must undergo evaluation. Take a look at all the pics.

On any given day (except for Saturdays only) you can walk in and :

1. There are no one at customer service. Customer service station is empty.
2. There is no one at the bakery or worse, they ignore you and just leave you standing and waiting for them to slice bread.
3. Most bakery, and some shelves are empty.
4. packers and boxes are everywhere, of unpacked items, nothing ready for the customers during shopping hours. Did they not have evening workers packing groceries and not during customer shopping hours? Due to boxes and people everywhere and restricted space.
5. Last but not least, exceptionally bad service from top to bottom. "leader" of the store (tall plump white man with green apron) will tell you straight to your face "I find that hard to believe" when you tell him that bakery team members were rude and one of them (in pic below) actually threw bread at us. Why did he find that "hard to believe"? Was he so against customers that he did not know how to problem solve and assist in a situation with angry workers? (August 02, 10am - whole foods on Mowry Avenue, Fremont)

The workers at this store wont last long here. Fremont is a rich Indian Asian town, with Indians being the largest supporters of this store. Nothing short of embarrassing seeing low-paid filipina workers align with white managers racism and implement it at this store. If they do not know how to treat properly the customers that pay their salaries, they need to find a job elsewhere.

My advice is for you to start videoing your experience at this store, you have a right to do that. Document these people and put it on every social media outlet. Write down names, times and exactly what is happening at this store. Stand your ground against these microaggressions.

I love to go to whole foods to buy my groceries. They have nice meat and fish sections. They have orange juicer where you can buy freshly squeezed orange juice. Their bulk is also very good.

I only come to this Safeway occasionally, however whenever I come , the staff members are super friendly and helpful. At meat department, Ivan's kindness makes me feel like a local butcher, and Gregory too, both of them proudly present Safeway's great customer care and services. Highly recommended.

This whole foods location is good overall. Smooth self checkout etc.

I had a racist experience with the person managing the pizza and burrito station yesterday. My husband and I came in all friendly. We asked if the pizza with the last slice available will have more coming in. They said nope.I asked warming up the slice as they didn't offer to do it. They said ,with head down, that okay put it in the box and give it to me. Overall they were not making eye contact and were pretty terse. We thought it's okay that's how they are. Then while we were waiting for the slices to be heated up, a white old man approached and asked about a pizza that was not available at the moment. They were suddenly all warm in their response and said I could bake one for you now it would take only 20-30 min with full eye contact. I was surprised that they didn't offer us that or even let us know that was an option. And weren't talking to us face to face. Made us feel bad.

be careful in parking lot . some unsafe drivers.

I was here to purchase some flowers. And the experience was short and sweet. The store has a very clean and fresh feel. I bought two bouquets of flowers and paid for them and the service was great. I really like to go to Safeway as things are very organized at these stores.

Nice grocery store! Clean & better organized. They have nice staff working there that are proficient & not have you wait a long time in lines! Improved service from last year! Their deli dept has improved with more staff to accommodate customers!

Staff doesn't keep the carts at all. Carts will be stacked in the parking lot only. Customers only have to go and get the carts. Very pathetic service from Safeway staff.

Clean and organized. Billing queue will be more in peak hours. Still the billing counters will not be attended by staff. Only one will be open.

They don't open self checkout around 10pm and only one billing counter will be open. We see big queue at night and still they don't open more billing counter or self checkout counters.

Opening more Billing counters in peak hours would help and also whenever you see many people waiting in the queue for billing they need to open either self check out or more billing counters.

Water filters aren't working and stopped working while I was refilling. Now there is a machine outside the building and not very convenient to get it refilled.

5/17/24 inside the store they have Amazon counter for pick up or drop off which is very convenient
2/9/22 Wednesday nice location, tight parking lot. Little pricey compare to Sprout n Trader Joe's but quality products. Tres leche is delicious $3.99.

Whole Foods Fremont: Groceries that rock! Love the organic selection & fresh produce. Prices can be steep, but the quality is worth it. Plus, the staff is super friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for the quality seeking shoppers.

Updated: The Amazon return drop off makes it more lucrative by doing two tasks in one go. Additionally paying from the Amazon app is great. I also observed that they have reduced prices on many of the items with or without app code.

Nice quiet store with hard working employees.

Safeway is a great store . It's in a good location. It's very close so many neighborhoods. The one bad thing about this is wait time at the counter.They put a board if 3 or more person in line they will open a new counter. But that's not happen. it happen to me couple of time. There is self check out. At least one will be not working at some point of time. I really like the service of the water refill inside the store. that's very convenient. Overall it's a nice store . It a great variety of fresh vegetables and fruits and deli& meat. The store is clean and neat.
