Food variety is adequate - the usual fish and chips, roast beef, etc. Dessert selection isn't extensive. The receptionist isn't friendly, and at the 1.5 hour mark, he begins to rush us out. The person at the table is informative about the whereabouts of the cutleries and drinks.
Just finished lunch @ the Kitchen Workshop. Our son booked a table online for our family of 6 adults & 1 toddler. We were seated promptly on our arrival @ a table close to the buffet, but not in the way of people approaching the buffet for food. The drinks station was also close by on our other side. (Soft drinks are included in the cost.) There were two soups to choose from, with a variety of breads. There was also a choice of Asian, Indian, roasts, seafood & salads for entrees & mains. A good range of condiments was easily accessible. The hot food was hot & enjoyable to eat. The buffet could have had more salad options, but it didn't impact what was a reasonable choice of dishes. Our toddler enjoyed the fresh fruit. The dessert choices were plentiful. The pavlova looked delicious, but my allergy to kiwi fruit meant that I had to abstain. Even though it was quite busy, the queue moved quickly. Guests were polite, as were the staff. All in all, a very pleasant lunch in a restaurant where all ages are made welcome. For those looking to park a car, we used the Trade Centre Carpark @ a flat rate of $13. The walk was quite a reasonable one.
Best buffet for value, though I would like to see more variety in the hot food section, I can see that they focus a lot on CARBS obviously they want you to be full and intake 10000 calories before digging in to anything else.
The best buffet ever. Plus the lady who assisted us that day was the best by far all the restaurant we tried in the city. We booked 12:15 20/3/24 to celebrate my son’s graduation day. She smiled in the photo I posted here. Im sorry I wasn’t able to ask her name, she’s the best. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟she offered all the drink compliments! This place offers a luxurious dining experience with a city view. They have an amazing spread for the buffet with an elegant interior and sophisticated ambiance to make your special day extra special.
The fruits and salads were fresh and mouthwatering. The main course was good but I wish they had more vegetarian options for the price. Though indulging in the trail of scrumptious desserts did make up for it.

I do suggest going early as we did. Because around 9.45am it wasn't quiet anymore. There was a large amount of people to navigate around to get food.
It's a nice view over the river too.
I had a great time, didn't go away hungry.
I truly recommend eating here, you won't regret it.

Today, I noticed a waitstaff ‘Maria’ was going to each table and asking about the food, having conversations with the customers. She came to our table too. We had a small conversation, and that makes us feel very welcome and valuable customer.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the buffet and I have to say, it was an excellent experience. The standout for me were the oysters, which were incredibly fresh and delicious. The dessert selection was also impressive, with a wide variety of options to choose from. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the entire experience all the more enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend this buffet to anyone looking for a great dining experience.
We had Christmas lunch at the Conservatory and it was perfectly magical. A very elegant place located in the 1st floor of the Crown hotel with a wonderful view over the Yara River. The staff were absolutely incredible making sure all the guests were pleased. The buffet had a large food selection, everything was nicely displayed and tasty. The seafood part was impressive. We enjoyed our time among family and friends.

My partner and I paid $175 for a Christmas Day breakfast. Unfortunately, our experience fell well below our expectations. The pastries were absolutely terrible; even 7-Eleven offers better ones. We noticed a large piece of ham, but there was no one available to carve it. I observed this happening every 15 minutes, with a small piece being cut for just one guest before the server disappeared. Many plates remained empty, with numerous food trays left completely bare.
The waffle was of extremely low quality, and it felt like it came from a supermarket shelf.
In the end, I only managed to eat one egg, one low-quality sausage, three mushrooms, and one awful pastry.
On a positive note, the view was amazing, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The location was also convenient. However, the quality of the food left much to be desired. It was, unfortunately, the worst buffet experience we've had.

Visit 1 -Conservatory Buffet at Crown Melbourne exceeded expectations! The ambience was amazing, setting the perfect tone for a memorable dining experience. The service, led by the attentive waiter Rahul, was exceptional. He went above and beyond to accommodate our egg and seafood allergies, organizing a guided tour with the chef to ensure a safe and delightful meal. Special kudos for the personalized dessert platter and the delicious custom-made fried rice. A fantastic culinary journey made possible by great service and a variety of allergy-conscious options!

5 star experience from arrival to departure. Melba restaurant is spacious and very comfortable. Huge variety of cuisine to choose from buffet style. Room was well appointed and made us feel at home. Staff are outstanding.

A really lovely and enjoyable experience. We went to the Observatory at Crown for dinner with a group of friends. It can be challenging to locate in the complex as it is not well signed however if you locate the fountains, take the escalator past these upstairs.
We enjoyed the buffet and an array of cuisines on offer. There was a valuable drinks packages on offer as well that well serviced by Tim (our waiter), who was attentive and humorous. Worth the experience and the cost in my opinion.

Attended the 50 birthday lunch, food was nice and atmosphere too. Perfect for budget party like Christmas lunch or birthdays lunch.you can choose whatever you want so no one will judge you so guest can really enjoy as much they want.
We are just around the corner at exhibition centre and found the buffet the easiest choice to cater for 7 of us.

Best view buffet! Siting besides the rivers, looking outside of the window with full of trees and greens…. Fresh sashimi, seafoods - oyster, crab, prawn, roasted pork, beef, Beijing duck roll, hot pot bar, fresh cooking bar, salad bar, so many to choose, also have variety of cakes and chocolate bar! Warm and smiling customer services! Complimentary coffee or tea! Great place to catch up or have family event! 5 ⭐️. Highly recommend. We selected weekday lunch, not so many people and plenty food, price is much cheaper than weekend! Booking is essential!
First impressions are very good. I don't know why a few of the staff acted tired of me. Some are really nice and don't lose their smiles. The food selection was good; you can get multicultural dishes. I would recommend it for family meals. As a bonus, there is an event that runs until the end of October where you can receive a complimentary meal if your gathering consists of more than 4 people (I don't know how many people they can provide the complimentary buffet for)

We arrived at 6 pm on a weeknight and were promptly seated, but we noticed that some items at the hot food station weren't adequately heated, and a few dishes were overcooked. The cold seafood station's freshness was inconsistent; while oysters and sashimi were generally fresh, the prawns were somewhat fishy and overcooked.
The desserts also did not appear to be freshly made. We thought several cakes in the fridge were either stale or hard (see video)

We both celebrated our wedding anniversary there on the 4th of October 2023. We were welcomed by lovely staffs and the ambiance was amazing. We enjoyed the food and drinks. We wanted to thank the Manager Mr. Danny, and his staffs Mr. Daz, Mr. Will, Mr. Justin, another Indonesian staff that we forgot to get his name. He made us a beautiful authentic Malaysian Char Kuey Teow. The whole experience was wonderful and it really made our day that night. We’ll be back again. Well done Melba Langham.

Great quality food in the best location overlooking the Yarra River! Dined in on a Sunday buffet lunch and was very impressed. Lots of different cuisines, meats, seafood, veges, side dishes and sauces. They even make naan bread for you on the spot! 100% will be going back especially for those lobster tails and buttered caper sauce.

It is not really a fine dine place, but it is a good experience to eat out. It is a buffet system where you can have your own choice of food out of so much variety. There are so many desserts and at a good price. So overall we had a good time there, because later you can walk around in the city, at Yarra River. Parking was found easy. We went on the weekend the car park was $7 for first 5hour.
