I’ve been going to this place for years, and last Sunday when I was standing in line to order, there was a roach crawling up the counter window where the food is. I turned around and walked right out. I can’t believe no one else notice or cared.
The girls took too long to attend me and kept me waiting. I wasn't able to even order anything so I left. It was a disappointment. Not going to be waiting there and not get attended for a really long time. Poor service!!!!

I order Monfongo with camarones al ajillo they sent me a dry mofongo with no al ajillo sauce highly disappointed I paid 50 dollars for my order to come

I forgot to take a pic but 5 STARS!!!!! let me start by saying they’re not stingy my food was damn near bussin out the container lol. Everything taste great! the rice is always soft and fresh😋 I love that. The sweet plantains could’ve been a little better but the pepper steak is my fav.

Great place for Dominican entrees, amazing food. Fresh and with the best touch of Dominican sazòn. My family and I truly enjoyed this place on Saturday 8/9/23. Morir soñando was over the top.

I hope the owner reads this review as i will try to be completely fair. The reason I couldn’t give you 3 stars is because you are not deserving to being close to 5 stars, it is not that your food is horrible but your prices are, you price everything individually without the knowledge of the customer and over charge, now this is highly unfair because if i wanted to pay $30 for such a simple meal, I would go to a high end restaurant. I could’ve had the same meal down the street for half the price. I hope this review is taken constructively, which you may not care about because you may think “customers will continue coming no matter what”, how ever I am one of the many customers who works nearby and could’ve offer long term business and unfortunately you will miss out. No hard feelings but good luck and I hope you consider this review and work on your service down the road.
Great prices for lunch specials. I got spaghetti and goat with rice for 15 in total!! So good and so worth it , i even had extra for lunch the next day (and it was still good after microwaving it). i will be back 😈

The food is good, they give you alot of rice. The Passion fruit Margarita was very good...I had 2, and I was lit 🤪
Food was mid/regular. And the delivery guy charged me $1 per minute once his delivery started and ended. Ended up paying $27 for a $13 plate and rest for every min they took to get to me.

The food is very bland and disgusting 🤢. First off the chicken empanadas are dry like it’s a big chunk of dry balled up chicken inside remind me of the can chicken. The shrimp empanadas had over cooked shrimp inside very dry and we ordered a pork empanada they gave us chicken and cheese and that literally came with the smallest amount of chicken and cheese. I wouldn’t come back to this place, I have better empanadas from a restaurant whose main dish isn’t empanadas. If your an empanadas restaurant your empanadas should be good. Definitely go back to the drawing board on those empanadas!

The service is pretty terrible, I will never go back. The place is not the cleanest either and they have a grimy fridge that you can barely see through so I asked if they had Monster drink and the rude employee responded with “we have just what you see in the fridge”. My family of 6 was there that day and I spent about $30, one of my daughters ordered a pork empanada only to be given some weird pizza/pepperoni/cheese one. Trying to get ahold of the employees is not easy since they just go in the back to talk unless you’re ordering. Once she came I asked her if this empanada was pork, without even looking at the contents the response was “yes, I took it from here (as she pointed to a particular spot) so it’s the right one” when I turned to my daughter to ask if she wanted to switch it, the employee was gone once more and I had to call her back. I asked if I could switch it because it didn’t taste the way it should, she said “it’s pork sir, that’s what I gave you, but I’ll switch it” So I picked a different empanada and she informed me that it would be a $1 difference. I paid the $1 and told her the service was pretty poor here, to which she replied in a very snarky manner “the owner is here if you would like to speak to her” and my response was no thanks, I just won’t come here again.
Owner is a great person . Very nice and great empanadas great smoothies of Dominican batidas .

Really good Dominican food although the stewed chicken and steak can be salty from time to time. And I love that they have white potato salad and not just the purple 🥴
Food is great but gonna rate a 2. the African American customers are retreated differently. I got nothing but rice n 3 pieces of meat for like $15 but when my friend went in there she came out with a platter full of rice and meat for the same price (she’s Hispanic). It’s disgusting to treat people that way when we are all minorities. It’s sad.

The best restaurant in town. The food was delicious, it was seasoned well and the prices are reasonable. Great customer service and kind friendly staff,especially Melanie she is very polite and friendly. I will be happy to return, I would definitely recommend.
This is a standard buffet style restaurant. You walk in and theybhave trays of food that vary from day to day. You can get rice and beans with a side of protein every day. The food itself tastes good but because it sits in these trays I have found on 2 occasions that the food is not as warm as it should be. The service is excellent. The ladies are very friendly and helpful. The cafe con leche and empanadas are very good. Good for a quick and cheap bite.

Food is just sooooooooo disgusting!!! Sooooo salty! I did a big catering order without actually trying the food in the past and it’s the biggest regret also theirs women who’ had their hair out loose right in front the food! , food taste like old Dominican food, just because the area is run down doesn’t mean you serve people cheap old food! Make food better and fresh and not so salty!
My first time over, prepare my order just as I wanted it. Very respectful young lady Caroline prepare my order delicate way and just right. I won't say more just stop by and get your meal over.
One of the most authentic Hispanic restaurants in North Jersey reminds me of my family cooking back in New York. Affordable meals, and great portions. Highly recommend.
The One girl that works there is rude and also very cheap with the meat. You would think it’s her restaurant but it’s not. Get $5 worth of chicken from her, 3 pieces, if you ask the nice old man, he gives 5 pieces. Another issue is if you ask for a certain part of the pernil, like not the grease sludge on the bottom of the pan, she will deny you. You must eat the grease according to her. Not sure what her agenda is but the owner needs to address it. Maybe the owner coached her to be like this, I don’t know but it sucks regardless. Avoid her at all costs! Yes this is a rant but everything is true 100%

Good Food(Recommended the Pepper Steak). Location is great but Parking is Challenging. Place is clean also prices are fair. Staff Provides outstanding service.

If I could give this restaurant negative stars I would. My steak was raw inside and out. My tostones were reheated and the rice was definitely a few days old. The waitress, gave horrible service. First and last time I ever eat from here, or should I say order because I couldn’t even eat the food. Completely inedible.

I was referred from a Friend The food is fresh clean environment but I felt my business wasn’t welcome bc I’m not Latino. I ordered a drink it was a little to thick for me I didn’t want a refund I asked could I exchange it for water. She charged me a dollar for the water after I gave her back the drink that was $4 dollars. I paid the extra dollar of course, but I feel if I was Latino she wouldn’t have minded just giving me the water since my stomach couldn’t handle the pina colada. I just feel it’s called human decency rather compassion for the people supporting you in your community.
Well, this is my first negative review since 6 years ago and yes a neg. one and to think a simple mistake of the staff by forgetting to pack a side salad with my order, which could have been easily resolved by refunding the price of the salad back onto my card. But nope, after 3 times of calling and the shenanigans that those “ladies” pulled by pretending to be busy, and putting me on hold and never answering back .......it just goes to show how Unnecessary some people are ..............🙄🙄🙄

Had a great time grabbing a bite at this Dope spot. The owners and workers make you feel right at home with their hospitality. The food is delicious. Recommend this spot if you looking to get some nice Dominican fast food(frituras). Try their natural juices you won’t regret it ;).

I have eaten here before but delivered. Today we decided to eat out and it was delicious. It was a bit different as I havent eaten before steak with peppers and fries but it was very good. Definitely worth ordering or eating in!!!!!!❤❤❤

Villa Mella is a dominican restaurant -I’m not dominican-so I thought coffee&butter roll, then I saw the food and changed my mind,. The place inside is beautiful and the staff are all gorgeous females. It needs to improve appearance.

Princes weren’t bad. Food was nice and hot. I got rice and beans which were great but the chicken was lacking flavor. Not a bad spot however and the service was decent and quick. They accept cards which is a plus.
Great tasting food with lots of options. Restaurant has a bathroom for Men and Women. only downfall to this restaurant is they only accept CASH!!! NO Debit cards. If you can get pass that, it's a great place to sit down and eat or take out.

I love this place. The food is delicious. They are clean, and always have different selection of food in their menu. Service is excellent. I just wish the have delivery also.
