Wonderful cafe which really takes you into magical and historical land. The whole interior breathes warm history.

Went for a Cofee. A super cozy little Cofee shop situated in the middle of the old town. As I was in the morning, it was not crowded at all. The girl serving was extremely friendly and helpful. During the night it was packed and I loved the atmosphere
Fake Aperol Spritz! Careful this is not actually a real aperol spritz but they use a sirup with sparkling water!!! And that for 8,50€… it’s a disgrace
Very nice place and friendly staff. Prices are good for the portions. We had the toast Groot Market and toast Paul. Recommend!
Absolutely 10/10. After a long day of travelling from the UK we fell on this restaurant purely from what Google told us was near. The service from Max and Ritchie was lovely considering we don't speak a word of Dutch (terrible on our part!). My partner was surprised by the list of 0% alcohols, we have never seen one so long! Food was gorgeous! Exactly what we needed after a long day.
Auf der Suche nach einem Restaurant/ Café, sind wir zum Camelot Cafe gegangen! Hier wird man schnell bedient und das Personal ist sehr sehr freundlich :) Wir haben ein Camelot-Burger bestellt und waren begeistert. Absolut empfehlenswert!
Kwam hier vroeger heel erg veel. Wat een leuke zaak is het nog steeds. Vriendelijke en behulpzaam personeel. Lekker eten en goede prijs kwaliteit.
Prima eten en vriendelijke bediening. 1 ster minder omdat ze geen drankkaart hebben en 1 ster minder omdat ze geen diner kaart hebben (beide alleen online)....
Coole Kneipenatmosphäre mit kleiner, aber sehr leckerer Speisekarte. Service top - und das Bier war auch sehr lecker :)
Wat een feest!! Zo lekker gegeten. Het vlees was heel erg goed gebakken, de grillsmaak is fenomenaal. En de patat. Zo lekker

We entered after placing our reservation a few hours prior, but had to find our own table because the waitress wasn’t coming over upon arrival— all fine, thus far, we found our name written on the chalkboards. But we had to actually ask for a waitress to take our order, after waiting for another 20 minutes…
The window table was cold, due to a draft, the chairs are very uncomfortable. The window sill was covered in spiders and clearly hasn’t been cleaned in a while, the toilet wasn’t very proper but luckily didn’t smell. And the food is way too overpriced…
Their own made iced-tea tasted sour, the beouf tasted like a burned sausage with soap (coriander) and let’s not mention the bitter and extremely sour tasting salad… the tempeh saté was dry and plain. The mashed potatoes and fries were delicious though!
I guess it all comes down to personal taste but to us this was not up to par. We will unfortunately not be returning here, I’m really sorry!!

Leuk, knus en gezellig restaurant midden in Nijmegen.
Midden in Nijmegen heb je een ruime keuze aan leuke tentjes om te eten maar de keuze viel op Funkenstein. Reservering via de website was zo gemaakt!
De ontvangst was super vriendelijk en ondanks dat we aan de vroege kant waren mochten we een plekje uitzoeken.
Vooraf via de website de kaart bekeken en gekozen voor de kaasfondue. Een prettige eerste kennismaking met kaasfondue!
De borden zijn goed gevuld en de kaas was lekker van smaak! De huisgemaakte frietjes zijn super lekker.. Kortom: aanrader!

Delicious high tea! We loved the soup and egg salad. The Vegan salmon was a little too fishy for us, but that's personal taste:)
Some of the desserts (rocky road) were a little too sweet, but very impressed with the beautiful cakes that they make!

We had a date there tonight. We were greeted warmly for only making the reservation 40 minutes prior. The atmosphere is enjoyable. The staff are attentive and kind. The dinner menu is delicious; we had the pesto burger and chili cheese fries. Dessert is decadent. We will return to try out other items on the menu.

Went here during the zomerfeesten 2023. We had a nice night out dancing to a very well put together DJ set. (Unfortunately, I forgot who the DJ was)

Not a single vegan dish available and even ordering only fries with currysaus is not possible. The kitchen is very unflexible. Pretty bad experience even though it could be so easy to make it more pleasant
Food is decent for a fitting price. Nothing that will change your world forever but definitly a place to have a nice evening with friends. Cocktail was well mixed!
Prachtig gelegen in de Lange Hezelstraat. Bavette met knoflookboter mals/medium zoals gevraagd. Salade grof en vers gesneden. Huisgemaakte frites in schil zijn echt superieur! Overzichtelijke kaart (aan de muur) die door zijn beperktheid altijd vers is! Genoten!
The service was fast and friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The food was easy to order and was delicious. Overall, it was a satisfying dining experience.

Went here for dinner on a weeknight. The service was standard and well done. The menu was unique but delicious. I had the burger and it was tasty. Not quite good enough for my top ten but I’d eat it again. Four stars only because there are no printed menus and we weren’t offered English menus. All in all though a fun place for dinner.
Very cheap, great service, amazing food. Spareribs were amazing, the salmon was a little bit dry, but still quite juicy. Great place !! One of the two places they recommended to us in Nijmegen 🔥
This place is the best restaurant in town!!! We had 3 portions of spare ribs course and 1 portion of mix grill course, 3 tap beers 0,5L and 1 Coca Cola and the total bill was 87e. Each cent was worth it! Food was extremely delicious and portions were huge! Staff was so nice and friendly and they could speak English well. Highly recommending this restaurant!
Such a cute place. The service was super friendly and down to earth. The virgin cocktail quenched the thirst and that cali kapsalon was a great treat. I could have chilled here for hours. Thanks for a great afternoon.
I really loved the atmosphere and the staff was super friendly. But unfortunately they gave us the vegetarian snack mix instead of the vegan version. Which really bummed me out. So just make sure they get your order right if you're vegan or lactose intolerant/allergic to milk.

We shared the vegan platter for two with some additional fries. It was not only super tasty, but the portion was far more than enough! Completely stuffed and happy we were unable to try one of the delicious looking brownies. But we can recommend the Espresso Martini for after dinner! The service was super friendly. Browsing through their free-to-use board- and card games, enjoying a couple of drinks we spent some superb hours at Cali. Thanks guys👍

Staff was very friendly, they warned us that the kitchen was about to close so we should order fast. Their beer selection is on point. You can see people of all ages here, students but also after hours groups. They have a pool table that lets you play for 1 euro. The burger was very good - meat was properly medium, french fries great and the attached salad was just the right mix. 5/5 place. Shout-out to the friendly staff Felix!

Fantastisch! Leckeres Essen und freundlicher Service. Wir waren ohne Reservierung am Freitag Abend da. Es war sehr voll und trotzdem wurden wir freundlichst empfangen und man hat einen Tisch für uns gefunden. Sehr lebendiges Lokal und sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.
Restaurant zentral in der Innenstadt Nimwegens gelegen in einer Reihe vieler anderer Restaurants. Man kann von hier aus gut das Treiben beobachten. Der Service ist gut. Preise sind angemessen. Drum herum war es auf Grund einer Veranstaltung vom Vortag sehr vermüllt…Plastikbecher ohne Ende usw…da sind schon einige Menschen hin- und hergestolpert.

Excellent staff, excellent service, great value for money dishes, which were also pretty, and the desserts were delicious! They called in advance to discuss the allergies for our group and they did a lot of effort to be safe, e.g. separate bringing of the dishes. We had a great night out with the ladies - thanks to the super friendly staff and the tasty food. Thank you very much!
Food was amazing at this place! I had the tacos with sweet potatoes and this was really delicious! For all the really hungry people, take the loaded fries, the portions are pretty big.

Sound is poor. I could barely hear the vocals (highs/mids) on a track I know very well. I raised the issue, was told by the manager that "all the levels are correct". An underwhelming response - particularly for a place that has invested in a rotary mixer and poses as an audiophile destination. Other venues would be happy for the feedback and take corrective action. Sort your setup out... get some pointers from a sound engineer! The phrase "all the gear, no idea" comes to mind.
Gute Auswahl an Speisen und Getränken. Preise sind okay. Service ist freundlich und effizient.

Very nice signature cocktails, with interesting flavours. As for the food, we tried the pizza platter to try out different pizzas and these had very original toppings. 100% recommended.
As for the vibe, it is amazing, very nicely decorated with super good music. They indeed put a lot of thought into it.
There are also boardgames, I always think this is an addition to any bar.
If you want to have a nice dinner/drinks out with friends and with nice music I would definitely come here.

I found this on a quiet street during a couple of walks round Nijmegen centre. Finally stopped here on a busy Wednesday for a quick bite to eat. Really friendly staff and excellent food. They managed to squeeze me in even though it was pretty much full. Lots of snacks and vegan/vegitarian options on the menu. I had the fried cauliflower bucket with sauces which was delicious. I thoroughly recommend this place. They even accept my UK visa card for payment. Definitely going back again soon.

Wir haben hier eine kleine Kaffee und Kuchen Pause gemacht. Der Kaffee war sehr gut und die beiden veganen Sahnetorten (Tiramisu und Himbeer) sehr lecker. Die Mitarbeiterinnen waren total freundlich und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Süßes Café!
A lovely restaurant with delicious plant-based recipes. From the interior to the menu (let alone the friendliness of the team), everything in this restaurant is worth visiting. We came for a late lunch and had delicious Pita falafel and (vegan) smoked salmon salad with warm drinks. The vegan smoked salmon was simply stunning. The place also seems to have delicious desserts. I highly recommend coming with friends to be able to try as many items as possible on the menu. You will not be disappointed!

Had no idea that the food was vegan when we decided to have lunch there. Had my first vegan burger and I was very positively surprised. Also, awesome fries. I was not so much convinced of the vegan bacon on the pancakes, but overall great food. Friendly staff included.

Ein wirklich schönes Café, tolle Einrichtung passt sehr gut alles zusammen. Ein Billard gibt es und auch einiges an Essen. Draußen ist viel Platz zum sitzen.

This a nice place where you can eat good for a relatively cheap price. They have a menu which takes account for your dietary wishes. It is possible to get a reduction when it is coupled with a Vue ticket, the neighbouring cinema. The atmosphere is cosy and colourful.
Nice typical brown dutch pub. Ambience is really nice, cozy and charming. Good music and beer selection. Prices are average, between 2.5 and 4 for a beer.
People are really nice there, comfy place and they have great beer too, the girl working there has got the most stunning eyes and smile 😍
