Went to cash my check on the 29. I told Carletta multiple times I didn’t want a card during the process of me cashing my check in. Yesterday morning I found out it was an ace card being mailed to my house without my knowledge. I am very unsatisfied with the experience at this location

“Checks cashed” and they literally dont have cash. Do not come here. The owner was late by 40 minutes and did not have any cash on her and said “there is no way we can get you this amount at any time”. I came here for western union, so I suggest you avoid this place if you have more than 100$

The ATMs are behind closed doors in the after-hours. There are card slots that are supposed to open them, and they do flash green when you put your credit card in, but the doors don't react. Had to look for another Capital one ATM all over the city...

They patiently walked him through the process of creating his account and even made a courtesy call to me to make sure he had someone else with the info that could assist him in the future. I cannot thank these two ladies enough and the fact that they did so all while keeping the other store patrons moving in and out is incredible. Have you ever felt that you are in some kind of a carnival when you enter into one of their branches? I have been a customer of the bank for more than 20 years, even before they changed the name, and I jave seen the bank evolve over the years. This branch like many others has the feel of a cafe where customwers can just chill, but as I was told by an employee that the comfortable tables and chairs are for the employees use. The bank just seems hoky and not very serious. Heaven forbid that you have an actual issue and try to call customer service. I have never once had a pleasant experience dealing with the transfers or call drops.

The touchscreen functionality was so bad I had to abort my transaction.

It’s always a pleasure coming to this ACE. Everyone there is friendly and handles everything so professionally. Even when some customers come in being rude with them. I love how calmly they handle every situation and doesn’t let it effect or carrying on to the next person in line. They’re fast and always makes my trip there quick with no problem. I don’t mind waiting for a transaction I had to do, but I asked the white guy (whoever he is there) before about changing bills. The cashier was counting coins like if she was counting wheat seeds, and then when she finally was done she did not have the bills. Convenient location just not a good customer service.

Let me start by saying I have two credit cards .and a checking and a savings with capital One .and have been a customer with Capital One for about five years. And decided to open a business account with my primary bank .but imagine my surprise the day of appointment .I was given every excuse as to why I could not be allowed to open a business account Even after having my letter of operations and my EIN number and other documents. I was told that I would not be able to open the business account .it has always been my belief that capital one . assisted there customers with finance /credit /and business support. imagine my surprise when I was being refused the opportunity to open up a business account with some of the most ridiculous excuses. after leaving Capital one I was able to open up a business account with another bank .that same day .and after reviewing Capital One‘s website I see that this happens often at this branch. It was inexcusable. and upsetting to me . I hope this is not the practice of Capital One although your website and reviews do have me concerned..

Worst bank ever I had this bank for not even 2 weeks . I deposited a check yesterday not knowing the check would not clear till 5-7 business days. They are giving me partial of my money. Never had a bank that does this. I have chase and if I’ve known that, I would have deposited there. It says it’s deposited but not in my account. The app sucks. The disputes should be done via app. My money seem to be removing from my account very slowly. I talked to customer service unprofessional and was unable to help me. After my check is deposited. I will close it. I’ll stick to chase.

Awful experience with a business account. Showed up with all the necessary documentation, all the necessary people present, but they were unable to make a simple personnel switch (add/drop signatory authority) because Capitol One in VA had lost our documentation from the previous time we did a personnel switch. The K street branch were unhelpful, consistently gave contradictory information, gave us no direction with how to proceed. They were absolutely dumbstruck with any path forward, and would regularly tell us the wrong information or information that was quickly proven not true. They were so rude and unwilling to even call their manager as we sat in the lobby for over an hour.
Walked across the street and set up a new business account with Citi in less time than it took for Capital One to give us an answer on how to proceed after they lost our document. (Who doesn't digitize in this day in age??) DO NOT GO HERE!

I was a Chevy Chase Bank customer when Capital One took over. They have the WORST customer service ever, and their services SUCK! THEY LIE LIKE A RUG, TO YOUR FACE, OVER AND OVER AGAIN! ATM has been partially functuonal for almost two (2) months now, and everytime you inquire, they say, "Oh, I was not aware that the ATM was not working"......LIARS! You dont know that it has been partially working or not all for almost two (2) months? Seriously? Everyone, do your self a favor and find another bank, who at least cares about your banking concerns.

I been banking with them for some years but when I tried to open a business account for business I had all my paperwork they told me my social security number had a block it was funny that I used that same number to open my business account with a another bank I felt like they discriminated against because I'm trans women . I told them I had my operations because they asked me if I used any other names I felt humiliated and embarrassed I've been using my social security number for years and I have LifeLock so if my social security number was compromised they would had told me that my social security number was compromised. I really want to take my money out of this bank and go somewhere else I feel hurt and devastated.

Worst Capital One bank branch ever! Manager or banker was sitting in front and talking on the phone for 15 mins while people wait in line. Also sent me away saying I don’t have an appointment. They were no body in there. Their system don’t have available time slot next 6 months. Lazy bank workers and useless manager. Close the branch if you won’t serve your customers.

I went to the bank today thinking that I was going to in go in and get something simple done in a reasonable time. That was a negative. The line was out the door but when I came it I was only 5 of us in line. Corey was the only teller that was servicing clients. He even asked the other two ladies for assistance and they never assisted. This was very poor customer service. Especially to never acknowledge their co-worker needed help and it’s the end of the day on a Friday at that.

I tried to make a deposit today and the teller said that they are only doing withdrawals and not deposits. What sense does that make? They just need to do away with this location because they are good for nothing. Don’t want to work. If I could have given zero stars I would have, because that’s what this location is worth!

Mr. Joe is the man, he gave good deal on new number case, unlimited plan new phone for $100. They are very nice, I love to my business with them. Best store in my neighborhood.

I had a bad experience at this branch when I tried to access my safe deposit box. The staff behind the teller line gave me inaccurate information about how to make an appt. to open my box. I made a second trip to the branch only to find out I couldn't get into the box because I hadn't followed the proper procedure. I had, in fact, done exactly what they told me to do. So I had to go back a third time. BTW, I'm an older person with a compromised immune system, making me more likely to get COVID. This information did not seem to make any impression on the branch personnel. I'm a long time customer of Capital One, and this experience has been very disappointing.

Baits customers with false deposits from bankrupt companies with their capital one 360 product, customer service verifies the deposits as legit over the phone, stating that they are from your regular depositor despite what the description says, then abruptly reverses the deposits a week later, and profits off the overdraft and interest charges. I can't wait until this fraud is exposed.

Horrible customer service every time. At least they’re consistent. I would avoid this location if I could, but I can’t. Do yourself a favor, pick another bank or Capital One location.

Hi I called today to replace my lost at home credit card. I asked the representative not to block the current card while sending the replacement. They did completely wrong blocking the card + I had to wait over 30 minutes and been asked the same questions over and over. This is terrible service. Plus I cannot customize the design of the card, which almost every financial institution offers to do and it’s quite easy.

So capital one closed most of the branches to open up cafes which you can’t really do anything there except use the atm. The closest full branch to me now is this location at 12th & F street NW. It is very slow and always crowded. Every time I come to this location it’s always 2 people working here. One teller and one banker. I rarely come to this location because of this and come back with hopes that when I’ve come back it’s fully staffed. But no, same long waits. So disappointing! I’m taking my busy elsewhere.

Decided to go into the branch to discuss opening new accounts and looking into my current credit account. Complete waist of an hour. After waiting patiently to finally be told the young lady would not know when she would be able to sit with me. The rep advised me to use the app. After deciding to leave after waiting I received a snobby attitude from the young lady to have a nice day in a condescending tone. My advice do not waste your time at this branch!

Horrible service. Always waiting for 30 minutes to do a simple transaction, and yes if I could do it at an atm or online I would, but when I have no choice :(. Also, a 100 dollars disappeared from my deposit when I clearly knew how much money I just withdrew from another bank. Boone at the branch, including the manager, did anything about it, even said how they don’t put cameras to monitor their employees. So now the money is gone, guess where

There’s no one at the info desk and only two bank tellers on staff during business hours. After calling ahead of time and waiting in line to ask someone about the notary service I was told that the notary stepped out for for an hour. What kind of of service is this.

Terrible location. One of the worst capital ones I’ve been to. The manager is never around and the tellers can’t seem to do basic transactions. Every time I’ve been here, it’s a nightmare. Nobody seems to want to do their job and the lady in the back room is extremely unhelpful and rude. All the staff here is incompetent and lazy. DO NOT GO!!

I have been banking with this company for about 15 years or more, since they opened on Good Hope Rd. SE and they still have not issued me a credit card! When I get the time I will be going to another bank. I like the location because it is near my home, but, it is not always good to show loyalty to an establishment that shows you no loyalty.

I had a terribke exeprience at this branch. The teller refused to cash a payroll check that is drawn on Capital One. When I called customer service, I learned that the account holder has the funds available so there is no reason why the check should not have been cashed. The teller didn’t even take the time to call and verify the funds.

There was a crack bag on the floor !!!! When the man in front of me told security he laughed and responded this is southeast. The people of southeast deserve just as much respect as any othe residents of the district. The security gaurds are too busy flirting with each other to realize that drugs are on the floor of the bank . I will never come here again I’m glad this isn’t my bank . This location is very slow you have workers not assisting customers even though the line is long.

I had a really bad experience here with one of the lady on top that she wasn't trying to help me she was rude and she said in order for me to get the money i had to download the apo, what stupid rule is that? What is goin to happen to the people that doesnt have an smart phone?! She was really unprofessional n want trying to her job since she was watching her show on the computer. Really bad experience, i will nver visit this store again, and i dont recomment it either !

You won't be able to access your account. About 3 weeks ago Capital One had an "issue" where internet access was not available. At least 4 hours of multiple calls, endless transfers, and research still no access. Reached out to the guy that opened my account in the branch, his response is for me to come to the branch. Why? So that the two of us can stair at the error I get on the phone/laptop?
The bank is incompetent, every call is at least 15 min wait. Wells Fargo is in the next block. Stay away from amatures.

One of a few service locations still available on Saturday until noon. The bank is within walking distance to the Capitol and other federal buildings. Street parking only is available. The handicap ramp access is great. Upon entering a seated representative welcomes you from behind a large desk. Behind that wall is the banking area.
The staff is friendly, attentive and greets many return customers as if they were old friends.

Discrimation today by Latino representatives. I waited in line while the customer in front of me conducted his transaction. There was a women at over at the counter for some time filling out papers. Now I'm next; although here comes the Latino women going in the line next. I asked rep to let the Latin women know where the line was. The Latino rep told me she next and i can go somewhere else to cash my check. Discussed -- I asked ask management. Management was called and Surprising the management concurred although not in site. Now the rep is refusing to cash the check. I forgot to mention, I'm a black male!
