Top Italian restaurants in DeLand, United States

My mother and I were wanting a snack before we went to a show at Athens theater. We were drawn here because of their spinach and artichoke dip. Let me tell you… this was the best spinach and artichoke dip either of us had ever had. It was amazing. We also shared a personal cheese pizza and that was very good as well. I wish we weren’t in such a hurry. We will definitely be back for that dip and more! Our server, Chloe, was very great. She was very accommodating of the fact that we had a time limit and was sweet and attentive. The only thing I’ll say is, it was incredibly hot sitting next to the kitchen. Some more AC back there would be great!

The staff are so sweet and got us a table asap. The pasta primavera was excellent and so was the farm salad. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend this spot!

Love this place so much. The owner is amazing and very involved. Best Mac and cheese I’ve ever had in my entire life.

Amazing food and amazing atmosphere, we were in the mood for pizza in DeLand and had never tried this spot before and it did not disappoint.

Tried a Classic Cheese Pizza along with the Frittis and they were both delicious. Pizza was cooked well, it was a tad overdone on the top but the crust was some of the better crust I've had. The Frittis were delicious, try them, they are different but exciting!

Service was good, we were seated promptly and the server (can't remember her name, unfortunately) was great. Would definitely return again, or perhaps try takeout, they run great specials on their socials for takeout at certain times.

Very cool, and small Italian restaurant. The small, intimate dining room sets a relaxing atmosphere. The pasta is very good, and you can't go wrong with the specials. The specials menus came around after I already decided when I wanted, and I had to switch to the shrimp scampi. It was delicious, and a great choice! I would definitely go back and try something else.

Urban Brick is a pretty solid, but not quite top tier Italian joint. I enjoyed my meal, but there was nothing about it that will cause me to return anytime soon. The calzone certainly has an odd appearance, and you can see that the edge of it is basically a giant footlong breadstick lol. I would say they used far too much dough and didn’t let it bake long enough. At least it was full of good tasting cheese (though could have used more ricotta)! The meatballs were good too, but in no way memorable.

The owner Rose was very nice and welcoming. Our pizza was delicious and our server Lauren was very attentive to us and helpful even though she was busy. We will definitely come back. And we appreciated them being open on a Sunday!
