Good food and great atmosphere. Went around 6PM on a weekday and was not too crowded. You can pay with credit card but they accept only cash tips. The staff was very friendly and made good recommendations.
Let’s start with service! Everyone helps each table out to ensure guest are greeted and being taken care of. We made reservations for brunch on a Saturday and it wasn’t too crowded. I was able to sit comfortably without having so many people crowded around. The ambience was gorgeous!
Food I recommend starting off with the hummus and taboon flatbread. Both 10/10. This was very filling. For the entrees I recommend the crab Benedict! It’s very light and doesn’t make you feel bloated. Crab was a perfect texture and taste. If you’re looking for a heavy meal, filled with protein I recommend the SLOW-COOKED SHORT RIB. Very well seasoned! Definitely something different from the usual brunch places I have gone too. As for drinks I got the bottomless mimosas which has 3 different options. The Portokali was also a good drink, a bit on the stronger side for me. Overall I would give this place a 10/10 on food and drinks. Service was great throughout the entire time. This is a cute date spot as well as a girls brunch or dinner spot!

The menu is not labeled with allergens however the server was very knowledgeable on what could be made gluten free without cross contact (I have celiac). The steak was delicious! The rest of the group enjoyed the dips and pita.
It was alright. Not worth the price imo. Gramercy tavern is right around the corner and you’ll get better bang for your buck if you go to the tavern (the diner is where it gets expensive). I had the prix fixe, it was alright. I did not like most of it. The ceviche and the sorbet is the only thing I really recommend.

Food is divine!! Can't go wrong with any dish. Cocktails are innovating and well worth it! We were there at 9pm on a Saturday night and nearly every table was full - it's a neighborhood favorite. That said, service was pretty slow, though very kind and accommodating. A new favorite that we'll certainly return to!
The waitress Taylor provided excellent service. The food delicious 😋. We will back to eat there again.
The food here was ok, I was a bit underwhelmed with the dishes I got. The lamb tangine was ok, but was not that filling and the dumplings in our appetizer were a lot smaller than they traditionally are.
Really tasty amazing food, authentic Mediterranean cuisine, THE BEST hummus ever! Great selection of food choices for everyone. Quaint place with great atmosphere, music, and friendly service!
This place is so cute and cozy. We came for brunch and had a great time. The food was delicious and I look forward to coming back to try more dishes!
Honestly Barbounia is the best restaurant that I have tried in New York. The food was spectacular and delicious. Our server, Julia, was so amazing and knowledgeable about the menu and the overall service is definately 5 star.

Came here for an early Sunday dinner. Delicious food and great friendly service. We had the appetizer mixed platter - we loved the Turkish patlican and lebne in particular. For our mains we tried the chicken sis kebab, chicken Adana, and pear and walnut pizza. All very tasty. Chicken kebab was perfectly cooked. The red sauce on the Adana dish was wonderful. And the pizza was great - thin crispy crust and we added a little extra balsamic glaze. Definitely recommend for a tasty meal in a nice atmosphere!
I got a chicken noodle soup for an appetizer, crab cakes for an entree, and a gelato alongside mint tea for dessert. All of the food was good, but the crab cakes were particularly really good. In addition my waitress was incredibly friendly and attentive. Overall the atmosphere was very chill in the outdoor seating area
Hummus was delicious, but menu overall lacked vegetarian main courses. I got the zucchini fritter app and it lacked flavor. Partner loved the chicken kebab, would recommend this place if you eat meat!
First time at this Israeli / mediterranean restaurant and had a great time. It's a family style sharing restaurant with small, medium and large plates. All the food is great. The hummus was really good and so was the Israeli salad. Very recommended!
Came here in a Friday night and the restaurant was at capacity. You definitely need a reservation in advance. The food and atmosphere were great. We had the spicy feta and it came with warm bread and it was absolutely delicious! We also really enjoyed the short rib tajine. Highly recommend it
Eda and the team at Seven Hills have an incredible restaurant. My fiancé and I ate there on a summer evening. The Greek salad is insanely good with the perfect amount of dressing. The zucchini pancakes were the star of our appetizers, so light and unique! We then got the steak special and holy moly the lemon potatoes are something to write everywhere about. They complemented the sliced steak perfectly. Not to be outdone the pepperoni pide was CRAZY delicious. If you’ve made it this far in my review stop and just make a reservation already! Love seven hills and will be going back.

Great Mediterranean food. We came here many times and the quality is always there. The falafel is amazing! Hummus with taboon bread is great too. Love their Israeli salad, too. Schnitzel is delicious but only good for dine in. Take out will be a bit dry. Service is never disappointing!
Amazing Turkish food experience in New York. Foods were full of flavours, and every bite was delicious. We ordered shakshuka, falafels, Leyla lamb burger, Turkish tea and desert. I must say I and my wife loved it from the core of ours heart. If you are considering going to Leyla I will say it’s one of the must go restaurant in New York to enjoy the Mediterranean food delicacy, cheers…
We were in the area and stopped in for early dinner. What a great find! Everything was absolutely fresh and delicious. Staff was friendly. Atmosphere was nice. We will definitely return for more.
Such a beautiful restaurant and the food was incredible. Our Greek salad was so fresh and vibrant, octopus was the perfect texture, and the grilled branzino was so flavorful! I loved the plating on everything, such a nice touch. We also got the Merguez Pide which was nice and crispy but I think next time, we’ll try other flavors - it wasn’t as punchy as we expected. The Persian Blue beer was the perfect compliment to the food too!

Authentic and fresh Israeli food with amazing service! A friend recommended this restaurant to me while I was in NY and I am so glad I went. The food was so good and the menu offered many delicious options. The hummus is a must order. I will definitely be back when in the area!
We ordered shrimp and scallops in tomato sauce and on a bed of mashed potatoes. It was delightful, I enjoyed every bit of it, then we had the greek fries with feta cheese and it wasn’t that good. The fried were not fried properly, they were soggy and felt more like mash potatoes rather than French fires.
After a walk in Central Park it was a great little spot to relax and fuel up for the rest of our day. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating options, and they have a lunch menu in addition to their full menu. We ordered the lamb burger and falafel wrap. The falafel was perfect, but would be better served in a pita or naan instead of a flour tortilla. A small side of tzatziki would also be ideal. But the flavor of the falafel and the freshness of the lettuce and tomato were spot on. Fresh water at the table after a long walk was helpful. If you don’t want any a food truck, I would recommend walking to this cute location.
I ordered Sultan Platter and Falafel, the presentation was nice and taste was very good and everything was fresh. I also appreciate the staff they’re so kind, and the ambience was very nice too.

Bustan knows how to serve some great Mediterranean dishes. So many great flavors and so many choices. We stopped in here last week and the food and the service was so good we can’t wait to go back. Mediterranean did with an exotic flair. Perfect UWS local restaurant. I can’t wait to go back!!!
Excellent food and excellent service. I haven’t eaten at a Turkish restaurant before and this was just an all around great experience. Service was excellent. I believe we had the manager as our waiter and he was so friendly so nice and so informative. Explained to us what he liked from his country (Turkey) and all his recommendations were excellent. Every dish was delicious and the Turkish ice cream was different and excellent, it’s extra gooey. Highly recommend a visit. Such a beautiful space.

We started the night with a couple of Mimosas (absolutely yummm & light), followed by falafel and 2 main dishes!
Everything was super fresh, made to order, especially the bread with shakshuka was superb (recommended by our hostess!).

Got the Lokal Burger and it was amazing. The fries were very good, everything came out warn and i was surprised by the service. They were on top of it making sure we had water and that the food was good. The lamb chops were really good as well, great seasoning and perfectly cooked. Impressed with this eating spot. Would definitely recommend it for anybody, with people of all ages, kid friendly, accessible, beautiful atmosphere. Definitely coming back.
Great food, great atmosphere... the hummus bowl was delicious and that pita bread was everything. I had to order it twice. Also had the greek salad. The feta cheese was amazing and so was everything else. Would definitely go back.
Wasn’t blown away by anything that we got. But if you end up here and need a little taste of what Greece is, I’d recommend the octopus and horiatiki. Those two dishes taste the most flavorful and close to the truth.
Avoid the fish roe dip, taramosalata, because it taste like fish roe with cream cheese which is a sad interpretation of what it really is.

I absolutely love this restaurant and their lunch special. It is such a great deal and the food is always delicious. I personally love the chicken adana kebab, the meat is very tender and moist. Not dry at all, it's perfect. The staff are also very friendly and I have never had to wait to be seated.
Worst costumer service ever. The personal who manage this restaurant they are rude, they create a big situation outside of the restaurant because a guy sit down in one of their chairs. The didn't manage the situation in the best way. The lady who I guess is the owner or the manager was a very unprofessional the way she handle the situation. If they act and resolve the problems like that mean to me this is a red flag to a place to visit. I'm going to talk about this restaurant in my personal blog and leave my review on trip advisor too!
The food was good for the most part, the breakfast pide was tasty but the lamb burger could have been seasoned properly. The service however was horrendous. We ordered our food straight away and found ourselves waiting for almost an hour for our food to come. Two separate tables came in after us and ordered their food and received it way before our starter even came. The table that came the latest was already half way through their main before we even got our main. The waitress was so condescending and rude and had a horrible attitude. We had to be somewhere so we had to rush our food and I couldn’t finish the food we paid for because of how late it came.

Great place to get some Halal Turkish food. Get there before 3 pm, they have great deals $28 on lunch, 3 courses. Good portions, food was EXCELLENT. Service is great, everyone was very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was good. They have indoor and outdoor seating.
We were there as a family of 4 and had a very pleasant evening. Seven Hills offers a wide range of mediterranean food and all we've tasted was absolutely delicious. The humus was the best we've ever had! The service was very lovely and they did everything to fulfill the special wishes the kids had. We enjoyed it so much that we came back the next day for lunch.

Incredible meal from start to finish! Every single dish was outstanding. As vegetarians this restaurant is basically a goldmine of delicious options. It was hard to not order the entire menu as everything sounded amazing.
We started out with the nutty, savory and slightly sweet Muhammara spread. I loved how light the toast was, you could really appreciate the texture and flavors of the spread. Next we tried the Veggie Pide, which ended up being pleasantly light and smaller than I thought. Loved how thin and crispy the dough was. The veggies really shined.
Next we tried the Beet Carpaccio, which was not only a beautiful dish but by far the best beet dish I’ve ever had! Loved how thin the beets were and the balls of goat cheese were heavenly which all paired so well with the zesty arugula salad on top. It was everything I didn’t know I wanted in a beet salad.
Lastly we tried the Vegetarian Manti (the only picture I got because I was too busy enjoying the food) and wow! I didn’t think the meal could get any better but it did. This dish was absolutely transportive. The velvety eggplant filled pasta topped with a smoky yogurt sauce just melted in your mouth. The tangy sumac and fresh parsley added so much depth. If I had to pick a last meal this would 110% be it.
Not only is the food out of this world (and country) the cocktails were amazing too. They were all very well-balanced and perfectly boozy. We tried the Pistachio Mud Heaven for dessert which was like eating a big, nutty, lightly sweetened shredded wheat cake that paired so well with the creamy, chewy icecream. We ended the meal with a couple glasses of Turkish Tea which was the perfect bitter, earthy follow up to dessert.
All in all, we can’t wait to go back and bring friends here so we can order more of menu. And when the temperatures warm up we’ll definitely want to dine in their charming back garden area.

This is a really nice Turkish restaurant. Service was good! Only wish they had added charred onions and chilies for more flavor, just my preference but overall would recommend this place!
This is a great restaurant. Good service, excellent food, and a friendly atmosphere. I would personally recommend the Lamb Adana Kebab. Portions are big too. When we were taking the rest of the food to go, the waitress added some extra bread for us to take. Seldom have I seen such thoughtfulness and care when serving a customer.
Celebrated a friends birthday over brunch. The cocktails were delicious. Everything we tried was great and very tasteful. The mix mezze and the mushroom/poached egg dish is a must. The ambiance is also very nice. Would def come back
What an amazing meal! The Mediterranean ambiance of the restaurant was lovely. We ordered the Iskender, Ali Nazik, Icli kofte and Lamb Adana and all was a delicious and with appropriate portions.

Very nice ambiance and service. The shakshuka was great. I really wanted to try their bread but because of passover they were not offering it.
We went on a Saturday and it wasn’t too busy. We started with the tzatziki (save your complimentary bread for dips) and it was super fresh and yummy. We both got the wrap brunch special which left us both stuffed. All of the food is super fresh which is great and the service was wonderful too! We’ll definitely be back!
Cute restaurant in midtown. They have good Mediterranean and vegetarian options. Seating is limited and space is small but have a wonderful ambience. We ordered brunch platter and entree and cauliflower tacos. Platter was small for 2 people, entree - Shakshuka was delicious and also the tacos. We also ordered dessert and a cocktail.

Came to ABA to experience authentic Turkish food. They serve Manti, which is hard to find in any Turkish cuisine. It was delicious, beyond my expectations. It felt like I was back in Turkey having a meal with family. Lamb Shank was also amazing. Next trip to NYC will definitely include another stop at ABA.
Came here with friends around 7pm on a Saturday night and was able to get seated right away without a reservation. However, we snagged the last table, so don’t rely on just being able to walk in. I enjoyed the decor and the service of this place. The food was also delicious, but my group was annoyed that the pictures of the food in the menu did not match what we received. For example we ordered the salmon tacos and one of the reasons I wanted them in the first place was because they came with a decently sized side salad (from the pictures in the menu). When the place arrived, however, the salad was tiny and I wouldn’t have ordered what I did, if I knew that’s the case. Giving this place 4 starts because the pictures in their menu were inaccurate and misleading.

I do not normally eat liver but the ciger (liver) was so good i might start having it now and beef and lamb dishes are a must try! kunefe for dessert was the best part!! i loved it so much 💗 best turkish restaurant in the city 10/10 i highly recommend
We got takeout delivered. Very tasty. Meat was a bit dry and the salad only had maybe 4 olives but was overall still good quality food for the money. They were also good accommodating allergies (removing pita and placing in bowl instead, etc)
If you are hangry and didn’t make a reservation anywhere and you need something to hold you til dinner while you are walking the city and absolutely a necessity to come here. All made right there and then with high quality ingredients. Expect $11-$12 per person. Order the lamb skewer gyro and the falafel. Amazing food for very cheap, this place will have a line out the door before you know it.
This place was decent, however it did serve the best hummus and truffle pizza we’ve had. The hummus was perfectly made with the best consistency. We ordered the lamb shank, however it didn’t have as much meat as compared to other restaurants. Good flavor but didn’t like the style of rice served with it.

The food here was excellent. I really enjoyed the salmon in vine leaves. The plate came with several small bundles of salmon wrapped in vine leaves. The salmon was tender and juicy, and the vine leaves added nice flavour. The side of rice was interestingly seasoned too. Presentation was unique and pleasing. I liked how the dish was not only delicious, but also wholesome and well-balanced.
We found this place when we were looking for a dinner place in theater district on our recent trip to NYC. We were lucky enough to get the table for five as we did not have reservations. This place is nicely decorated but not very big. Friendly staff and fast service. Main entrees and desserts, everything was very good and flavorful! Definitely coming back.
Made reservation well ahead for an anniversary meal. They did a great job correcting the situation when initially we were not given a good table—cramped, near a busy staff door, very uncomfortable high-back chairs. But we asked for a better table and were accommodated quickly with an excellent table in a quieter spot, one of the best tables, very near the front door. Very good service throughout the evening. Server was helpful with our questions about some of the dishes. We had a mix of specials and regular menu items. Can recommend Chicken Musakhan (Taboon Bread, Tahini, Amba, etc) & Baked chocolate mousse w/ ice cream w/ crushed almonds in it. (The textured of both were wonderful. I’d go back just for that dessert!) The popular Kebab Halabi (comes in a baked bread dome...lamb onion, tomato, tahini, pistachios etc) was a just OK. The bread dome was definitely rather watery—too much nearly-raw dough. Their tahini is lovely. All in all, definitely a recommended restaurant!
January 2023. We came as a group of 2 on a Sunday at 2pm. Despite there being quite a few empty tables inside, we were turned away from indoor dining because the only empty tables were 4-seaters. Apparently they don't sit groups of 2 at 4 person tables despite it being an off-peak time. Be warned.

Lokal offers some of the best Turkish and Middle Eastern mezzes in Manhattan. From the excellent cocktails to the flavorful dips to an exceptionally tender octopus appetizer, we have fallen in love with this restaurant. It's worth a trip to try.

It's been about 2 years since we ate here, always a favorite. The food and ambiance are still authentically Greek but the prices are like Tokyo! Hard to justify $36 for a lamb souvlaki no matter how good. Might return for the food when we crave Greek, otherwise... not.
Really enjoyed our 10th anniversary dinner here! Great environment, it wasn't busy when we got there around 7pm (which was very nice) and it got busier when we finished (and we understand why). Delicious food, nice service, would recommend and would repeat.
What an incredible place! The service is excellent, they go out of their way to make you feel welcomed and cared for. Very warm ambience. The food is so fresh and delicious. The desserts are uniformly mindblowing - the Greek yogurt dessert, baklava with icecream, the Nutella mousse in a flower pot. The cocktails are divine, like the celestial beings they are named after!!

Well.... It's a JS6.2... The maza/apps were average, the salad, was average, the sides were average and the main... Well, again, average. The atmosphere and staff were great. Just expected more flavor from all of my dishes. Portions, great! Worth a visit, just not two.
This was an order of fries!! I ordered a chicken gyro and fries. Im leaving 3 stars bc I have eaten here before and enjoyed the food. I shook the box before opening. I was still surprised to see how few there were. He was better off not putting anything in it. If this is policy take it off the menu.
The food is great! The meat is very tender and literally melts in your mouth. I rarely enjoy Doner, but loved theirs. Both the chicken and lamb Adana kebabs were amazing! I really enjoyed the lamb chops. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. I would say it’s on the pricier side for the portion.
Nice vegetarian options. We had two falafel sandwich (decent size) and one Greek hand cut fries to share for about $30 (tips included). I particularly liked the informal atmosphere and the background music.

Ate here recently, the food was great as well as the service. It was a nice sit down meal for lunch. We were looking for a kebab and it was exactly what we wanted.

Great mediterranean restaurant. The falafel and hummus platter was good and so did the chicken skewers. The Ceasar salad was not great and tasted a bit funky (I think they added mustard to the dressing which was not going well). The best part of the meal was the walnut and peppers spread, which was just amazing. The fresh bread served on the side was also good. All in all this is a recommended place for greek / mediterranean food.

I must have developed a taste for it during my past long ago business trips to the Gulf, where most of dishes served had lamb.

Price wise, the gyros were on the high side and my bill hit $30 including the tip.
The wait for the order didn't take long and so got it when it was ready.

I stumbled upon this gem tonight. The waitress recommended a traditional dish with lamb and eggplant. It was delicious! The lamb was so tender. Bread was delicious as well. Lovely experience.
Bodrum is a place that I’d come back to for extremely perfect Turkish food. The restaurant owner is so kind and all the staff are lovely too. The menu has a large selection of traditional Turkish cuisines along with pizza options from the brick oven. Overall would highly recommend every item on the menu. Can’t wait to go back!
Good find on my way from my car to the hospital. Very clean, friendly employees. I got this falafel sandwich for takeout last night but didn’t eat it until this morning so in the picture it has been waiting for me for 10 hours. Still delicious! Definitely a better breakfast than what I would be able to get at the hospital.
Good food but a bit on the bland end when it comes to taste and the spiciness or may be I'm just used to eating a lot of spicy food.
Great customer service and well prepared food, steak was cooked to perfection, the appies platter were tasteful and well designed.
Priced reasonable and a must try for everyone, next time I will ask my food to be make a bit Spicer.

Had the taste of spreads, zucchini croquettes. The next time I got the halloumi and the lamb and chicken skewer. 6 skewers would be a lot for one person to eat, two are enough. The halloumi is sweet but also savory. Menu is diverse. See attached photo for menu. Service quick and good. Plenty of seating, but i saw a lot of deliveries going out as well. You can buy wine by the bottle or as a carafe. Make sure to recycle your plastic ware when you clean up after eating.
