We went for Mother's day dinner with my family. Though we reserved our table ahead of time, we had to wait to get seated for 30 minutes. We thought tgat they might be running low on help. We were seated and our waitress took our order which exactly took 2 hours. Everyone around was in the same boat. We didn’t even got water. Service was beyond terrible.
Vegetarian Mezze plate was ok. Hummus was great but apart from that nothing outstanding. Jerk chicken was tasty and spicy. Lamb kababs were well seasoned and good portion.

We had a lovely late lunch at Nzuko, The setting is bright and modern. We had the entire place to ourselves. We had the mezze dinner and conch fritters to experience the Med/Caribbean influence. Service was friendly and attentive. Food arrived in a timely manner.. We loved the grilled chicken and hummus. The beetroot and sweet potato spreads were also very nice. Plating is artful. The grilled bread complimented the meal. The star was the tasty rice. WOW, so good. My daughter enjoyed her lamb. The conch fritters were a bit pale and sat on a bed of lovely sauce but the garlic factor was a bit intense. Overall, it was a nice experience.

Make sure you have a reservation! Food was wonderful.

Ground Beef Kebab was the hit of the table along with the Cheese Boat. Pictures of all the food are posted along with the review.

Service and atmosphere were stellar as well. Nice and quiet but upbeat environment.

Came here for lunch with my friends, for our last day in Boston. We ordered assorted olives, roasted potatoes, mushroom potatoes with broiled cheese, khachapuri (waited an hour for), Babaganush with soft & crispy pita bread. Food was delicious and filling service was good. The atmosphere was homey vibes, very cute and decorated not too big restaurant. Whenever I come back to Boston I will definitely stop by here.

The food and drink served here deserve Michelin Star attention. I have eaten at star rated restaurants that don't come close to what I tasted at Nzuko.

The space is very well designed. Hip, without feeling pretentious. Fun, without seeming tacky. Neon letters and banana peel ceiling fans shouldn't work, but here they do.

That are not perfect though. We got our appetizer, the conch fritters, long before we saw our cocktails, finished it before our drinks ever arrived.

And those fritters were the worst part of the whole meal. It was as if there was no conch in them at all. Just spicy breading. No flavor or texture. On a bed of some kind of jalapeño aoli which clashed with the spices of the fritters.

I could have attributed dichotomy of that let down, followed by everything else, that made everything that followed seem even better, but it really was just an anomaly.

The cocktails were excellent in formulation and execution.

The entrées were masterful.

You look at my other reviews and you will see I am quite picky, to an almost hater degree. This place blew me away.

I had the lamb shank in a sauce I can't even explain the flavor of. Just...red wine and spice mined from Dune. With smashed, perfectly crispy potatoes mixed with the sauce from the lamb, given body by couscous.

The Jerk chicken is so tender and flavorful I cursed loudly and rudely out of surprise.

The fish led a journey of flavors that never went to expected places, but delivered you to a land of "very nice".

The cocktails were exquisite. One tasted like a fluffy sweet mint cloud, and the other like a spiced liquefied plum. Plus the tempranillo red wine was perfect with the lamb.

This place has possibly the best food and drinks I've had since I moved to the area.

There is one thing that knocks this place down a peg though. The Front of House does not stack up to the Back.

The service feels both lazy and apathetically rude. Totally lacking any energy or charm. I thought at first our server might have been autistic. We weren't even greeted. He just walked up and stood there till I said "ok... hi!" Then ordered.

While the rest of the staff had the same attitude. It was almost unwelcoming. It's not like they were being run ragged. We were one of 4 tables.

Logistically, the timing for things was off. We finished our app before we ever got our cocktail. I had to stop eating my lamb, or I would have not recieved my wine in time to pair it.

Worse, I didn't even have a chance to order it before my friends finished their meals, because no one came to check on us. They wouldn't even look us in the eye and barely spoke to us. There isn't a host station when you walk in the place. You just stand awkwardly until someone notices you. This weird vibe is all that's keeping the place from pure success.

Don't take my bashing of the service and fritters too far. The food and drink quality so heavily outweigh it, I didn't even ding them a star.

Yet... the one qualm I have in giving a 5 star review, is that if a friend of mine went here on my recommendation, and got the same quality of service, I would be embarrassed and feel I would lose credibility.

Still, if the chef and bartender are the same? Worth an hours drive just to eat here.

Jana. My goodness.

I passed this place for years sitting in traffic in Watertown square. It became a running gag to say the name while driving by.

Finally after years we actually went. I had been missing out on the juiciest kebabs, delicious flavors, and a great supporting cast of appetizers. They also do fun weekday soup dumpling specials.

Don't be like us. Go to Jana ASAP.

Very cool, medium-sized restaurant. Walls have beautiful fretwork with views of mountains and beautiful structures. They had parking on the back, but it was completely full, so we had to look for parking on the street. Tables and chairs were made out of wood that gave a unique atmosphere.
We ordered a bunch of strartes, and all was very nice, but I remember Gerogian Khachapuri with eggs. It was very unusual and very tasty. After all appetizers such as humus, salads, chicken liver pate, and mushroom julienne, we ordered an assorted meat plate for $199 and shared it for 7 people. Everyone had enough food, and we even took some to go. Meat was prepared perfectly, especially kebabs. We all had a great time and great food. I recommend making reservations.

My husband and I just had the best meal! We had no idea this restaurant existed in Watertown. It is absolutely beautiful inside relaxing and clean. The service and staff are incredible and kind and the food is absolutely delicious. Food drinks and desserts as well! We are from Miami originally and having tasted Caribbean food like this in a long time. Great place for friends or date night. Highly recommended definitely will return.

An unassuming little corner restaurant from the outside, but quite lively and welcoming on the inside - with custom hardwood chairs/tables and beautiful paintings on the wall.

Took some time to find a table as the place was packed, but once a table was found, everything was better.

The food and coffee were quite tasty!

The menu offers lots of options to choose from, and now I'm wishing i had gotten more to try that day.

We did receive the wrong order, but service quickly managed to solve the issue with no extra fuzz. Highly recommended if you're ever around town

Very aesthetic restaurant ideal for a date. Not too many vegetarian options but we just got the veg platter with a side of Mac n cheese and two drinks. Quite expensive for the quantity but palatable.
Stopped in for lunch today, and was impressed. Food was delicious, service was friendly, and it had an energetic vibe like B Good ~10 years ago. My wife and I both had a bowl with falafel, but the other good looked good as well.

The bride and I tried this new (to us) local establishment last night and WOW, we were pleasantly surprised. Neither of us were very hungry so we decided to try a couple of their appetizers and grab a glass of vino at the bar. It was a slow Monday night but the staff was very attentive. We started off with the Conch fritters which where moist and delicious, served on a cucumber yogurt mixture. Our next forray was the dry rubbed wings, you could smell them before you saw them - a delicious rub of cumin, rosemary and a smokey paprika from Ghana - these were served on top of a lemon yogurt mixture - blow your sox off good. We asked the manager we could have a lamb kabob as an app as opposed to a full dinner and he was very accommodating. The lamb was juicy and tender with just the right amount of seasoning, served on tossed green salad - YUMMO.

The wine list is VERY limited (4 reds/4 whites). I had the tempranillo which went very well with the repast and my bride had the Block 9 cab (a nondescript Cally red but she liked it).

The atmosphere is a bit sterile but the food and the friendly service more than make up for it.

This is now on our permanent list of local spots we will be coming back to often!

Delicious food and drinks, especially tarragon, khachapuri, skewered chicken, kebab, dumplings, and desserts. Pleasant atmosphere but the music choice could’ve been better, American radio doesn’t fit there at all. The waitresses were friendly and helpful.

Some of the best Armenian food I’ve ever had. I’ve come here for both lunch and dinner and both times everything I ordered was amazing. I’m constantly surprised at how delicious they can make dishes that I’ve had a thousand times before. Just tried the baklava recently and I could not recommend it more. Everything is traditional and innovative at the same time!
This branch is in the funky side of Watertown called Arsenal Yards which has a nice uppety feel to it. The location is spacious and the food is given to you in no time. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available. There are two parking zones one near Garbanzo and one near the Roche grocery store.

The food was nice with significant amount of meat. Could have gone with more sauce but can't complain. Was a good first time experience
I waltzed in on a snowy day. Greeted by smiles. Very nice supply of healthy yummy food. The music is an absolute vibe. If they turned the lights off and had disco lights I’d be raving right now. Food was phenomenal. Plus they will refund if you try something new and didn’t like it. Near a fun area of town. Take a stroll through Home Depot afterwards.
I ate stuffed pita and side falafel. They get you to chose the stuffing of the pita - the kind of hummus, salads, meat and veggies. It is amazing. Very tasty. The falafel was nothing special.

The Mediterranean version of Chipotle/Subway! Food is good quality, fresh, and delicious! It's a smorgasbord of flavor. It's healthy and has vegetarian options too. The food is a bit pricier than your typical fast food, but it's worth it for the quality and quantity. There is a large indoor dining area as well as a few outdoor seats with a casual ambiance.
Fresh, tasty and healthy. My salad was very flavorful and enjoyable. Be mindful that they are generous with their servings if you're trying to be health conscious. It's a bit pricey but it's work your money in quality. My salad (double meat), pita and bottled water was about $20 altogether.
The fries and tea are AMAZING! I would go just for a tea and their fries. The gyro is good but I've had better. It's not memorable to me but still delicious.
The fries though, YUM! Try their teas!

We again had platter, pita and falafel and they maintained taste and awesome service!

We tried falafel plate 🧆
One plate was enough for two!
It was delicious and staff was also friendly and helpful.
Would definitely recommend and consider for healthy meal.
