Nice place to sit down and relax under the shade of the pine trees and to plan the route around Belem since it's right next to the train station. Unfortunately the water features did not work. And the view to the bay is obstructed by the fence around the train tracks
A perfect place for a calm walk, they have lots of birds, and you gonna see lots of beautiful peacocks around.
Beautiful botanical garden, although a bit run down. Still, it's worth the visit.
The pool has been drained which was a bummer but still a nice space to relax

Nice little park tucked away on the hill. Met some friends here for a midday getaway. Was shaded and nice to get out of the summer heat a bit! Views are wonderful, some grass areas (bring something to sit on, was a bit wet) as well as benches. Very peaceful.

You need a bit to get there but the way is as beautiful as the view itself. If you wanna get into the building you need to queue. Couldnt be bothered so I enjoyed the time in front of the building.

What to say? It's an Hospital, never a good place to be at!
It's an old hospital and its noticeable but you also see lots of construction work or something being fixed here and there..everywhere.
Last time I took my 72yr old Mom to take an "infiltration" shot on her knee. The staff was great, best part of the hospital is the good people I crossed upon, everyone from the car park security to the Dr. that applied the shot were all very nice, efficient and fast, be prepared to walk a lot and wait a bit at the elevator doors waiting for the correct elevator to then go to the pharmacy, they wanted the patients to go from the 6th floor, to the 2nd to go to the pharmacy to pick up the medicine then return to the 6th where the doctor was waiting with a big sering in his hand and a smile on his face..😄
Other than the failed elevator system idea, old people can't use the elevators, and generally aged facilities I had no more issues.
I give all 3 stars to the people working there, sorry guys but cannot give a 4 or 5 star.

Finally got to see how Alfonso Albuquerque statue with my own eyes after all this time hearing his name repeated in our history lesson at school.

This was a very cool place to visit. Lots of history behind it and the architecture was just stunning.
Was it worth the hour and a half line up to visit it? That's really up to you. I personally say yes because it's something worth seeing and experiencing at least once.

I wish to have so big garden to put all this palms, bambo, water into it. We walk around for some time. There are some benches so you could relaxed.

Such a beautiful place to visit ! Totally worth it. Try to go early as the line to get in gets pretty long. Once inside you can go into the 3 floors, the first one has just cannons, second floor has the patio area that you can walk into and get pictures, and the third one doesn’t have anything. It was the kings room.

Longest queue to get in ever. Even tho I had skip the line ticket the number of people with same ticket was in their 100s so there was still line anyways. Ended up admiring from outside. But the sea front there was so beautiful

Beautiful little park with grant old trees and a fanatic view of the city. Next to the green are stairs going a level down to a fountain pool for public bathing and a good playground for kids! Love the vibe, one of my favorite places in Lisbon!
As a park on the banks of the river Tajo it is nice, but the sidewalks are in really bad shape. It was difficult to walk, you have to look at your feet all the time if you do not want to fall down. With strollers or wheelchair it might be too difficult
On my must see list for our recent trip to Lisbon. It did not disappoint!!! Beautiful from land and sea! Watch out for people flying by on rented electric scooters they are often not paying attention and will definitely come out of nowhere.

The Vasco da Gama Garden was lovely. We enjoyed getting up close to the Thai gazebo and seeing that it was a gift from Thailand. Also, the statue of himself on a pillar.

Very cute place to hang out a few minutes during the day. You can sit on the benches and enjoy the view first and later you can go down the stairs and check out the "swimming pool". Some people jump on it when it's very hot. Hence, very charming garden that you should visit if you're in Lisbon! Besides, it's just a few minutes walking from Liberdade Avenue, one of the city's major attractions.
Could have more places to sit in the shade. There was a teacher demonstration with interesting drawings.

We were lucky enough to visit the Tropical Botanical Garden on a public holiday so the entry was free. But the entry fee for adults on normal days is 5 Euros. The garden consists of oriental and tropical sections and each has different trees and flowers. There’s a lake area and a lot of peacocks, ducks and chickens running around. So many lovely bridges, beautiful garden arrangements and green areas. The air is very clean and the trees provide an amazing fresh climate especially on summer days. You should definitely visit this botanical garden when you’re in Lisbon.

Wonderful day in Lisbon enjoying the sights and sounds of the city. The castle looked amazing but the queue was pretty long and it was a very hot day so we just took photos, walked along the river, enjoyed looking around the little market where we bought some lovely cork gifts to take home and had delicious hand made ice lollies from a vendor by the park area. A thoroughly enjoyable experience
Visit between 12 and 4pm for the waterfall . A nice clean area, fun for kids and great for photographs. Close to cable car and next to the Oceanario. Fast food and restaurants nearby
One of the greatest and possibly hidden gem views of Lisbon. You can see the water to the left and a wide vista of traditional buildings and many colors.

Well maintained gardens...a place to rest in the shade in the middle of the day

Not super special, but worth the visit. The tower looks amazing from the outside, especially due to its unique position in the water. Once you enter, the tower holds little surprises but does give a great view over the area. On the second floor, you are able to take a nice picture with the bridge in the background. It's free if you have the Lisboa pass, you just need to get it validated in the park nearby (no need to stand in line for tickets)
Really nice space, loads of interesting plants, and pretty spots for photos. Shady areas to relax and lots of peacocks to enjoy. Only downside was that glass houses are derelict and cafe was closed. Well worth the entry.
Fantastic and strange farmers with beautiful trees, flowers and plants, lots of peacocks and ducks , the home of a count and weird and interesting statues and busts. Smells great, looks great and sounds great. Perfect park for a nice long walk in.

The plants and little rivers are truly lovely. We got hypnotized for half an hour looking at a peacock and then another 30 min for little chicks.

Beautiful garden right on the seafront. Range of lovely plants and differently modelled gardens. Very close to the aquarium too

This was the first place in Belem that we visited, completely unplanned. Only €5 entrance, it was so peaceful and quiet, the plants and trees were unusual to us coming from the UK. They have plans for a tea room, and restoration of some of the old greenhouses. Well worth a visit, I imagine it's a nice break from the crowds at peak tourist times.

A centrally located square park across from the palace. Outside of having a statue and being a good meeting place I found it to be unremarkable.

We took our son to the kids science exhibition. What a great space, well lay out, great restaurant (affordable and great quality). Recommended for exhibitions.

Please be aware that despite buying tickets in advance you gave to queue outside in the sun for well over a hour. So best to get your tickets on site so that if you are not happy to queue up you can decide to leave and not waste your money.

Great space with plenty of open area for kids to play. Close to the river and also lots of restaurants and cafes are nearby. Often some events take place in the garden which adds a bit of animation. A good place to rest for a picnic.

A scenic view of the Tagus River and the beautiful stretch of the Vasco Da Gama bridge was bliss. It will cost 8 Euros for a round trip, and you can reach here from Oriente Station by walk to North or South point. Neither of this ll not take more than 10-15 mins walk.

Das Expogelände (direkt am Tejo-Ufer) von 1998 ist auch heute noch sehenswert. Das Ozeanum ist ein Traum, den man sich ansehen sollte, am besten bei schlechterem Wetter, denn man einige Stunden Zeit dort verbringen. Auch im EKZ Vasco da Gama bekommt man keine Langeweile. Beim Fahren mit der Seilbahn bekommt man einen schönen Überblick von oben über das Gelände. Nette Lokale laden zum Essen und Trinken ein, für jeden Geschmack ist etwas dabei. Die vielen Grünflächen und Wasserläufe runden das Bild ab.

É uma grande Alameda no Parque das Nações com mais de 2km que inicia na Ponte Vasco da Gama e se estende até o Oceanário.
Espaço maravilhoso para passear, descansar, apreciar as belezas de todo o trajeto cheio de árvores, fontes, palmeiras. Simplesmente lindo e imperdível!

Ein sehr schöner Ort zum verweilen und spazieren.
Hier hat es ein paar gute Restaurants.
Mit dem Metro zur Station Orient und dann in Richtung Teijo, ca. 5min zu Fuss.
Ein grosser Shoping befindet sich hier auch in der nähe.

Jardim próximo a minha residência e sei que temos um bom acesso com metrô e carris. O jardim é bem cuidado e muito lindo para um ensaio fotográfico ou simples para um pique-nique. Leve seus filhos, amigos e aproveite a energia do jardim que fica aos pés do Rio Tejo. Um espetáculo de beleza, arquitetura inovadora e cheia de vida e musica

Great place for a walk meanwhile you visiting the Oceanarium and all the Oriente/Vasco da gama area. It's not very impressive this specific area, but all around was built on the late 90's, that means, you gonna be surprised by a completely different Lisbon!

Vasco da Gama Garden is a public space in Belem which is named after the famous Portuguese navigator and explorer. It is situated between Praca alfonso de Albuquerque (east) and Praca do Imperio (west) as well as Rua de Belem (north) and Avenida da India (south).
The garden is around 4.5 hectares in area, featuring wide cobblestone paths, park benches and large trees affording many shaded spots. You can also see a couple of interesting monuments here including the Thai Pavilion and a contemporary column structure.
The garden is very near to Mosteiro Dos Jeronimos and there is much more shade compared to nearby Praca do Imperio, making it a better place to stop and rest your feet after visiting the monastery. During our June visit, we were lucky to find quite a few trees in bloom, showing off much purple colour to the park as well.
Overall, this is another of Belem's enjoyable public spaces which can be enjoyed by visitors spending spending the day here as part of trips to Lisbon.
