Super friendly owner who shared all about the backstory of this cosy pizzeria. The pizza itself was to die for. We got the pizzeria special and the crust was crispy, the meats were juicy and the tomato base was perfectly tangy. 10/10 recommend to anyone stopping by or nearby college students wanting to hang out at a chill spot. They close late: 3am.

I’m writing this review at 4am because I didn’t want to forget to give this business their flowers. This is probably the best pizza I’ve had in a long time if not ever. The atmosphere is also very nice. I love the outdoor seating option. It’s a great place to grab a bite to eat if you’re hungry after a night out. I love that this business is open until 4am! What more can you ask for? The quality of the pizza is amazing and it’s so fresh and authentic. You can tell the owner takes his business very seriously and he’s also very kind. The price is worth it because you don’t taste pizza like this often. Thank you!

Best tasting pizza in nyc ct area. This is staple of New Haven. Owner is a very friendly person, can tell he is a down to earth caring person. I wish they made this closer to where I live! The locals are very lucky to have this pizzeria nearby!

I had Pepperoni pizza and it was AMAZING! The staff was warm and friendly and the establishment was clean and inviting. It was a plus that there was parking as well.

Open late. Pizza is very good and isn't greesy. The staff is friendly. The prices are really good for the portion. The area is a little dicey, tho.

We stopped by New Haven on the way from Boston to New York, and the exterior of the shop grabbed our attention, prompting us to stop for a meal. There were enough people in line, but the staff and Kadir (the owner; hope I spelled his name correctly) were very friendly and helpful. We had a good chat while enjoying an excellent, memorable dinner before flying back to Japan. Thanks for the hospitality and the great pizza.

such an amazing place! the food was out so quick and it was absolutely delicious. my meal came with salad AND bread. The portions were great. The workers were all so sweet and made sure everyone was satisfied. Will definitely be going back for great pasta at a great price!

It's a small place but has some room for eating in. The food is quite good and I go there when I want pizza or Italian. It's location is convenient for me and it's close to YNHH. The staff are accommodating and friendly. The atmosphere for eating here is very casual, not the kind of place for large groups.

I'm not a pizza fan but there pizza special has got me.

The gentleman in the front counter was very nice, but it looked very busy. He was handling the front of the house and the back of the house overall. I had a very great chicken parm sandwich and the fries were pretty good. The area is a little sketchy, but it's a very busy intersection.

My boyfriend and I ordered this from doordash. I love how its open late, because it was almost midnight and we were hungry. The pizza came fast, and it was so good!! We should have gotten a bigger size. It wasn’t that expensive either, I recommend this to college students.

not only is the food at More Than Pizza amazing, but the service is great. Employees made me feel so welcome I actually applied for a job. from an employee standpoint I as well couldn’t be more satisfied. Amazing business and even better owners. AND EVEN BETTER FOOD!!!

Ordered chicken parm which was more like soup. Raw chicken. Just plain disgusting. I should’ve know better by reading the reviews. Waste of $20.

I got a half and half brick oven special and the clam casino, the clam casino was better than any of the other places I tried in New Haven, definitely check out this place! The owner is also extremely friendly and sociable!

I ordered a gyro here and chicken wings and the price was outlandish, especially since I ordered the same exact order before and it came in like 10-12 dollars cheaper. They charged me 6 dollars and change extra to put the gyro on pita bread instead of a wrap, which is the way you make a gyro and I ordered the same thing before like I said and it was cheaper. I always thought their prices were high but I was willing to pay more for the no pork menu, but at this point I rather spend my hard earned money with someone else and just eat chicken. They were my go to after work being I work second shift, they're down the street from me, and the no pork menu, but damn that, I good.

First off I ordered off of DoorDash… never meant to order here. I meant to order from New Haven pizza place in Milford (WHICH I THINK HAPPENS A LOT. PROBABLY WHY THEY’RE STILL IN BUSINESS. )Which is late years better than this joke. Pizza is average at best for a normal town and straight trash for New Haven! 1 out of 10. I’ll give the pizza a 4.7. First and most definitely the last time I order here.

I ordered a large white pizza with ricotta, spinach, and caramelized onions. When eating it with friends, we found a piece of a PLASTIC BAG, baked inside the pizza, under the cheese. We were all obviously shocked, and concerned, because many of us had already eaten a slice, and our friend bit into the plastic. We immediately called the restaurant and informed them of what happened. After answering their questions about the plastic (ex. where it was baked, what kind of plastic, etc.) and sending them picture evidence of the plastic pieces, they DENIED our claims, accused us all of lying, and refused to give us a refund, or a new pizza. The owner argued with us, saying "I've been doing this for 25 years" and acted as if he's never made a mistake in 25 years. We told him this is extremely unsanitary and dangerous. He then proceeded to hang up on us, yelling "Goodbye!". My friend is now worried that they ate some of the plastic, since they are allergic to latex. This is extremely unsanitary and dangerous. The customer service, and concern for customer safety was horrible. There was no apology. There was no consideration, concern, or empathy. Just disrespect and denial. There needs to be a health inspection here immediately.

I am never eating here again.

This is my spot as it's less than 5 minutes away from my house. Family run place,great food, very friendly staff. Food is always done on time and I've never had an issue there whatsoever. I've ordered there more times than I can count.

I attempted to order for them via delivery. Twice they canceled my order because they were unable to fulfill it. I don't know what this means and it would've been helpful to know why they could not fulfill the order so I could re-order. Also I found it a bit odd that it took them so long to cancel the order. Basically right before it was supposed to arrive. I attempted to call them twice and waited over 20 minutes each time to speak to somebody (being told I was next in line every few seconds by an automated system) at which point I just ended up hanging up. This is not a place I recommend for delivery because they are unreliable. At the end of the day you want to order from someone and know that your food is going to arrive. This place cannot deliver on this expectation.

First, don’t confuse this place with the New Haven Pizza in Milford, CT. That place is great. This place, New Haven Pizza in New Haven, CT is horrible. Absolute worst pizza I have ever had. I would have enjoyed a cheap frozen pizza more.

The food tastes amazing, but I wouldn’t recommend ordering from here. Whether it is due to complications on the DoorDash/Uber Eats app or issues with personnel, ordering here is a complete nightmare. The menu loops you into selecting unwanted add-ons for additional costs. Recently I placed an order that needed to be modified within one minute of placing th order. I cancelled made minor revisions and replaced the order all within two minutes of the original order. Waited over 15 minutes for a confirmed. Then before cancelling, I called to make sure the order was not started. The representative stated that she was going to place the order promptly due to my call. By that point I let the young lady know it was not necessary since I had already waited. In all of this, I was still charged for this order and the owner refuted everything the representative stated. Long story short, just go to Modern.

Buffalo Chicken wrap (I like mines with grilled chicken),and a Diet Peach Snapple. That's my lunch order when I'm at work.

This place is amazing. I got the eggplant parm hot sub and it’s incredible. The owner is nice and takes the effort to talk kindly to everyone. I was really impressed. They bring in fresh wood for the brick oven often. This place is great, I will definitely go back. Best sandwich I’ve had in New Haven. One of the only places in the city to get food after midnight! Even the diners are closed!

I know they can't be serious. How the hell did they not notice this moldy slice of cheesecake?! The packaging is clear, for goodness sake. Definitely never ordering from here again. Ever. If they can't take a moment to check the quality of their food before it goes out, they shouldn't be in business. This is a BLATANT food safety issue. Makes you wonder how much more moldy food is in their fridge.

If you want to go to a pizza place that makes you feel at home, this restaurant is the one for you. My best friend recommended Pizza at the Brick Oven, it was my first time trying it. The hospitality once we entered was immaculate. It's a family owned business and very welcoming. Place is so clean, and the food not only comes out fast but it's delicious. 10/10 would recommend! :)

Pizza is good and deals are nice but how can you not understand the difference between chicken cutlet and grill chicken! I tried 3 times i didnt want a sub full of shredded meat, or cheese cake that was still frozen i order from here atleast 2x a week gotta get it right

Went with my friend after the club, was craving sweets and they made us these amazing milkshakes and we tried their new menu item the homemade brownie with ice cream it was soooo good i highly recommend🤤🤤🤤🤤 will come again as a southern student!!!!!

I have been to so many pizza places in new haven but pizza haven 2 stands out! They have the best pizza in town! I go to SCSU and they gave me a special discount and also the pizza that I ordered was exceptionally welldone and tasted like heaven!🤤 I am totally satisfied with all the money I spent at the restaurant! I recommend everybody to stop by this Pizza place and try their pizza! Trust me you’ll not regret 🤤♥️

Just tried this place for the first time and it was AMAZING! I got a pepperoni slice and 2 sausage slices, one of the slices was huge they basically gave me 2 for 1. It’s nothing like any pizza i’ve had before idk what it is about it but it was DELICIOUS. Ive never left a review before but I thought they were super sweet and I hate to see all these bad reviews. On top of everything it was only $9 for all that and it fed me and my girlfriend. Hope to come back and will be recommending to others. 5 stars.

Updated...I used to love this place I've ordered hundreds of times over the years and would've rated 5stars but now with their huge price increase and lack of toppings you pay for leaves me to leave 2 stars. And the pizzas are smaller this all happened within last 6 months....I foolishly made the mistake and ordered again I paid $35 for a small pizza fries and milkshake?? How in the world of inflated prices could someone charge this much and calling the pizza small is an understatement!!!! Whatever happened to this place God knows but I'll never order from here again!! I'm done with this place for good!!!

Absolutely 💯 BEST pizza in Connecticut as far as I'm concerned. FANTASTIC PIZZAS Always piping hot when it arrives. Drivers are always extremely courteous and friendly. They only use fresh ingredients, never frozen. They have NEVER messed up my order.
The girl that takes your order is always pleasant and attentive. NEVER an attitude that's less than professional.

Another excellent feature.. when EVERYWHERE else is CLOSED, and you HUNGER for a Pizza @ 230a.m. THEY'RE OPEN!

We ordered a pizza burger deluxe for delivery. For something with the word deluxe in it, it wasn't impressive. What we got was a hamburger patty with marinara sauce on it. That's all that was it to the "deluxe" burger. We were pretty disappointed. Hate to see what a regular pizza burger was.

I was a regular customer but for the past few order they been not good i always get the grill chicken sub with extra chicken and they don't put it and yet i get charge the pizza super cold when i called all i got was excuses i should got a discount i called 11:21 i got my order close to 1pm
