Popped in here for a lunch and although it was busy we were shown a table straight away, table service was prompt, though waitress didn't return with the water we ordered and we had to go and find it ourselves. Food was nice but again nobody came to check if food was ok or if we needed anything further. Overall a nice lunch.

We visited in December, waited 45 minutes with no sign of our food. When we asked how much longer it would be, we were told 5 minutes, waited another 7 minutes to be told it would be another 10-15 minutes. We decided to leave and find lunch elsewhere - were given our drinks free and a piece of flapjack on the house as an apology.
We visited again today, hoping the previous experience was a “one off”, however after being seated we heard numerous other customers complaining of waiting over an hour for their food, so decided to abandon ship (pre ordering) and find lunch elsewhere!
Surprised there aren’t more negative reviews; unfortunately we won’t try for a third time.

Love this place; I do occasionally find that the music can be a little loud if sat inside but the quality of the food and respect from the staff almost makes you forget that!

One of my fave places to lunch in Bath.
fabulous friendly little cafe - brilliant staff delicious breakfast, fabulous views and met nice friendly customers travelling too!

I’m not sure if this place has changed owners since the last reviews but today I paid £10.95 for a single piece of brown toast with some avocado mushed on, with two poached eggs on top. If you order the regular toast, it’s £5.95 for two pieces of bread with butter, jam and marmalade.

It was tasty enough but the prices are disproportionately high even by Bath’s standards and there was no offered choice on bread (white, brown) or how the eggs were cooked (poached, fried). The service was friendly at the counter but alas the toilet utterly filthy.
Lovely place. Sat downstairs by the window overlooking the water. Lovely coffee and drink selection. Black board menu for breakfast and other options. The 2 ladies on duty were friendly and smiling despite them being very busy. 2 coffees, 1 flapjack and 2 breakfast muffins, £22. Will definitely return when next in Bath. Thank you.
Fabulous little cafe with a wonderful view. Friendly service, efficient and clean. Great coffee and a lovely bacon sandwich made with very nice bread. We went two days running as it was so good. Thank you :)
Very cosy atmosphere, tasty food and friendly stuff. And all right in Bath city centre! What else to wish for. 😉

We popped into this cafe for lunch. It's situated inside the garden centre upstairs. The menu has good variety. The food we ate was delicious. The staff are pleasant. We had a good experience and highly recommend this sweet cafe. 5stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We wondering a while looking for a breakfast spot, and definitely happy we found the Courtyard Cafe.

A bit of a different menu with some experimental flavours, but extremely tasty and very decent portions. Staff were lovely and attentive and the coffee was also great!
Very friendly staff, and the best apple cinnamon flapjack I’ve ever had. Highly recommend! Would love to go back there soon to try some more of their delicious looking treats.
Cosy place. Came in the morning to grab an apple and almond slice. It was so divine that we got two more on the way back!

Stood at the till I thought I had made a grave mistake. The place looks weathered and a bit dim. But damn!!! The coffee is sublime, best I've had in bath for sure. Food is also not bad and you get those packets of mayonnaise that are better than any other mayonnaise for some reason.

'Secret' garden Prior Park garden centre. Basically an outside slapped area of the cafe upstairs. Quite nice. Undercover but if windy you could get wet depending on the direction as it is open on 3 sides. There is a 'garden', well a flower bed which on my visit was bereft of flowers. There was a small shrub but otherwise lots of bare earth. The climbing rose was in need of dead heading and a good trim to liven it up.
The food was ok and came quickly. Not a bad choice to choose from. We had, altogether, 2 teas, 3 coffees, a sausage bap, a slice of Victoria sponge and a scone with jam and cream. £35. My how things add up.
Cafe was quite busy and getting busier as it approached lunchtime . 😋

Excellent little family run friendly independent. Called for brunch with my wife and daughter and sat outside. Although a busy Sunday, the service was prompt and efficient. I had the poached eggs on toast, which were fine. The eggs were nicely done. My daughter had Eggs Royal with an extremely generous amount of smoked salmon. The baklava was the best that I've tasted in a long time and the coffee was excellent. Some reviews have claimed that the cafe is a little expensive. I think that their prices are similar to other establishments in Bath. There is an element of "you get what you pay for".
And as a Yorkshire Man (short arms and deep pockets), I find everything in Bath is expensive!

Their Rock cake is delicious. There’s 2 table has fantastic view …. Good for taking a coffee break
A lovely cafe right in the river; the perfect reading spot for a cup of tea and cake. The staff were kind and attentive and helped me choose what to have; the carrot cake was definitely the right choice!

Had lunch here. Food portion is typical. Quality is fine but the English brunch I ordered is a bit salty for me. Staff is polite.

Visited this place after seeing the reviews. Had the coffee and a slice of baklava and didn’t regret it. Would recommend
Went in at the end of the day and staff were rude and came across put out by my custom. Purchased a over priced slice of cake and the staff threw my change down on counter instead of handing it to me.

Nice, bright cafe in the area. You can find tasty toasties, and bakery.
Latte was good.
Outside and indoor seating areas are available and there are some goodies for sell.

Lovely Coffee Shop Cafe with plenty of outdoor seating for a sunny day 😎 Slightly off the main shopping streets, so a little quieter, which suits me 😁 No waiting, fast friendly service with the drinks brought out to you.
Was lovely having a seat outside in the sunshine watching the world go by without all the crowds.
Definitely recommend this little independent cafe 👌 Will be back 😀

What a fabulous cooked breakfast! Very much recommend. A little on the high side price wise but it was beautifully presented and delicious. Totally recommend. Their oat milk cappuccinos are great too.
Afternoon tea with a view! You’re provided with a tea kettle with the tea of your choice, along with two scones, jam, and cream. We had the rose tea which was great. The icing on top however was the service. The madam working the counter was very kind and moved us from our table with no view to a table with an amazing view when the couple sitting there left. She had great hospitality and made this leg of our trip memorable.

We came across here by chance, the atmosphere was cute, the staff were very friendly and the food was just amazing.
I enjoyed that they serve English style breakfast but also some arabic features such as baklava and Turkish coffee
There during selection was big and everything we ate was so delicious.
Would love to return again next time I visit England.
It definitely is worth trying the baklava which is vegan, but tastes absolutely amazing!
There are two doors to enter this cafe so one dining space is much smaller than the other.
We went into the smaller dining section and managed to grab the last table for 2- which we soon realised it was extremely wobbly.
The staff were friendly and quick to bring us everything we ordered. No issues with the food either and would come back for sure.
Also with it being on the river, you get some lovely views.

To note- If you like to visit this coffee shop, double check both entrances for tables. The smaller window and closest to the pedestrian crossing is the smaller space of the two.
Asking for estimated wait times for tables, it’s difficult for staff to judge because people will take their time to have their food/drink, so it’s best to check both parts of the cafe first for availability.

Beautifully friendly wait staff, and a wonderful place to gather with friends/family.

We enjoyed a delicious cream tea! (£8). Seemed reasonably priced with the location! The scones were moist and buttery and the clotted cream and jam complimented perfectly with them! The pot of tea for one was plenty and stayed nice and warm the duration of our brunch!
Lovely garden centre near Prior Park National Trust, well 200 metres uphill so best to go after your visit. Great Breakfast, high quality very friendly service with outside area. Pancakes, rolls & full menu

Definitely one of the best coffees in town (I’d say my coffee standard in pretty high, at least for my taste). They have few choices of lattes like matcha and beetroot that can be vegan. Their vegan toasties are amazing!
I was out early, doing my garden bird food shopping, etc.The garden centre shop was quiet. I tried the Secret Garden Cafe for the 1st time & found this was where all the shoppers were! I had a full English B/F. The staff was friendly. My server was the lovely Maisey. I can't wait for better weather. Then, you can sit outside if you like! J.W.
We have stopped by for a lunch, didn't even know about the place, and we're extremely pleasently surprised.
The lunch was superb! 10 out of 10. Will definitely come back. The dish was very well balanced in flavours and textures. Didn't even know jacket potato can be that good! 😋🤯😍🤩👌

We just stopped in here on a walk around Bath City centre and honestly I can say that it has been a lovely experience! Tables are clean, staff are friendly and very good at making coffee and they had many vegan milks to choose from. I had a coconut milk mocha and it is delicious! Very hard to froth coconut milk (I know, trust me) but they've done it to perfection!

Perfect little bright and airy cafe with a range of tasty toasties, excellent tea and probably the nicest millionaire shortbread I've ever eaten. Seems popular with the locals in the know. Well worth a visit!

We thought we would try Picnic Coffee on a day out in Bath, we wandered a little out the way to give it a go as the reviews were so good. The establishment offers free wifi to guests and has a selection of cakes and other beverages for those not just wanting a coffee. It is quite small but has ample seating. The coffee was quite good and the milk was silky, the Mocha was made with cocoa powder I believe and so wasn’t very sweet, the Cocoa actually overpowered the taste of the coffee unfortunately. It was still nice and the service was very good.
