Capt Harper, SSgt Amaya, and Mr. Martinez have gone above and beyond to help me and my fellow applicants complete the application process, especially considering my busy job schedule and sometimes inability to make it into the office due to work constraints. Capt Harper is a Pace University alumni and therefore understands first-hand the tempo of living in New York City as a current or former college student. This is evident as he and the rest of the staff at the office are accommodating, yet still very strict in upholding the standards expected of Marine Officer applicants. I trust that when this current staff at the Manhattan OSO rotate out and are replaced by new Marines and civilians, the quality attention to applicants’ success will carry over as well.
(OSO) Captain Harper as well as (OSA) Ssgt Amaya are great recruiters who actively interact with all of the candidates and give all of the information needed to succeed. I personally have had an amazing time throughout this process!
OSS Manhattan has a team of sincere and dedicated professionals. Capt. Harper, SSgt. Amaya, and Mr. Martinez all strive to ensure their candidates are prepared to succeed at OCS. Recruiting out of this office was a great decision!
Capt Harper and Staff Sergeant Amaya are great leaders who are prompt when delivering feedback, sharing information, and ensuring that each candidate has the resources they need to be selected for USMC OCS.
Capt. Harper and the rest of the OSS Manhattan staff deserve the utmost praise for their professionalism, inclusion, and fostering a sense of community for all those wishing to become Marine Corps officers. Their commitment to each and every candidate ensure that all applicants are as prepared as can be for attending USMC OCS.
Consistently professional service from all Marines present including Capt. Harper, SSgt. Amaya, and both LTs. I've been in contact with this office since 2019 and have always been treated with respect, professionalism, and understanding. Even when it was clear I was not ready to begin the officer selection process or as prepared as I should have been.

After having seen the relationship between other candidates and their OSOs; it is clear that the Manhattan office is one of the best run, capable, and helpful offices in the region.
Captain Harper and all the staff have all been extremely helpful in the application process for OCS. Professional, helpful and standup individuals in helping others. I have been nothing but impressed by their willingness to prepare me for future steps since I first met with them and encourage others to reach out.
My experience with the OSO (Capt. Harper) and the current team has been positive so far. I did not only get help (unlike other branches) but I also got to proceed forward with the application and entire process to become a USMC Officer.

The process has been transparent for me and I have enjoyed all the pool functions which have helped me tremendously in both ways: mentally and physically.

I’m looking to enlist in the Marines but this recruiting center was closed long before it’s posted closing times on here, could anyone tell me if they’ve updated their times somewhere?
I already went through 4 recruiters 3 different recruiting stations in 2 years thats how much I want to be a Marine. Ssgt Caraballo is the only one to put in the effort and not give me false hopes. He had done more for me than any other recruiter I know. If you want to get in, no BS you want to go to this one and ask for Ssgt Caraballo. GySgt lis is so informative and will go the extra mile for you and sgt boltz will tell you how it is.
go somewhere else they will get you to signup and will lie to you up front.... join if youd like but dont go here
Fantastic place to train your mental and physical strength. If you have enough determination, you can become a marine...I go here in a semi-daily basis to strive to become one.

Oh yea the big bad Marine is rude? So I guess our men and women that took a oath to serve and Protect our country don't need two parking spots respect the rank you a wealthy man anyways why are you crying over a parking spot for if you can buy a parking lot Richie rich they can do whatever they want as long as they don't brake the law I bet if you saw a police officer "illegally" parked in two spots you just turn around and keep your mouth shut so why complain on a review? If you not even joining the military? New Yorks I swear -_-
10/10 would enlist

Some of these guys are just so rude.
I work in the area, and I was trying to park my car on the weekend. One of these guys, just took 2 spots illegally. I nicely asked if he could move up a bit, and his response was "NO" and completely ignored me.
No respect man, and to think these guys represent our Marines, it's just shameful.
