First visit to this Trees location, but I’ve been to many of the other locations. The space is clean and comfortable - it’s moderately-sized for downtown and wasn’t crowded around noon on a weekday while I was there. The barista was friendly. I had a veggie breakfast wrap, a slice of strawberry cheesecake (January special), and a cup of Chinese sencha. The breakfast wrap is your standard scrambled eggs wrap with a Southwest touch of black beans and peppers, with a side of spicy salsa. It was good. The strawberry cheesecake had a strong natural strawberry flavour. The texture was nice and light, this one was a bit more mousse-like than most of their cheesecakes. They use high quality tea leaves. My good impression here is consistent with the experiences I’ve had at other locations. Their food is standard cafe fare but notable for being fresh and filling. The cheesecake slices are a good size, not too dense, and all of the flavours I’ve tried so far (which is most of them) are memorable.
Always come here for 2 things coffee beans and a large latte. Two guys are always here doing the service, they're super friendly and have good advice. The vibe inside is pretty cool as well.
The last batch of cheesecake (Dec 31st 2023) unfortunately had a very gummy texture with less cream cheese flavor. This was consistent between all three different flavours we bought. We have been getting slices for the past 2 years and haven't experienced anything like this. I hope that it was just a quality control issue and not skimpflation considering the price for each slice is considerable.
This place is ideal for enjoying a cup of coffee, and scrumptious sandwiches! The cajun chicken sandwich was stuffed with fresh ingredients. The servers are jolly, and super friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed, and hence perfect for starting the day! There are communal tables for collective noshing.
Trees, a chain of coffee shops found in multiple locations, unfortunately, offers coffee that is subpar and somewhat pricey. However, the food, particularly the cheesecake, is quite tasty. The atmosphere is calm, making it an ideal spot for work. I would only recommend Trees for its cakes, as the other offerings are somewhat disappointing.
I used to love Trees, and it is still a good place to get some work done as it’s usually quiet, but some small changes they are making are just not it. They don’t have soup or salad anymore which really were the things that made it a good lunch spot. This location often has no music playing and then the other day there was music with Spotify playing but with advertisements… Their cheesecake remains awesome
Very positive experience. The barista that took my order was so friendly and made sure to put me at a table where there would be room to store the big instrument I was carrying. They were pretty busy but the assigned seating system took the stress out of finding and choosing a place to sit. Nicely designed place, both in terms of aesthetic and the layout, which fits in lots of seating but isn’t cramped.
I got the Nordic salmon toast, a walnut chocolate chip cookie, and a rooibos tea. All great! Fresh toppings and tasty dill cream cheese on the toast. The cookie was really really good, soft, buttery, chewy, packed with big chunks of chocolate. The tea, although it was just a regular brewed tea, was particularly nice too. They removed the tea leaves before giving it to me and it was brewed perfectly strong with a deep flavour.
The prep time for the food was fast enough that I was in and out in about half an hour. Will probably make a lunch stop here again.
I visited for the first time and the atmosphere was so good.

I liked the hot chocolate taste because it was soft and sweet enough.

I appreciate the kindness of the staff.
I always judge an espresso bar on the quality of their macchiato. Pallet’s was super smooth and flavorful. I was told it was a Brazilian and Central American blend for this month. I will go many times more
Convenient location to burn some hours chilling with a cold brew.
Stopped for a muffin and latte. The space is inviting (lots of plants) and the baristas were really nice - I changed my mind twice mid-order, but they were cool about it. My iced latte (decaf, almond milk) was great, very smooth. I had a vegan blueberry passionfruit muffin. I was drawn to the muffin in the case because, seeing all the blueberries on top, I had expected a lot of berries distributed throughout too, but it turned out there were no berries inside the muffin at all. Maybe this was an intentional decision to put all the berries on top, but I could not get on board with it, it made the bottom half of the muffin very plain. I liked the vibe of the place and the coffee was great so I’d definitely give it another try, but would be a little careful about my baked good selection next time.
Trees is a chain coffee shop, which you can find it in various locations. The coffee is not good and a bit expensive. The food is delicious, like the cheesecake. The place is quiet making it a good place to work. Trees I only recommend it to eat cakes, since the rest leaves much to be desired.

Lovely cafe, small but cute and affordable with wonderful taste
I'm always happy to get a fancy beverage, and their cottontail drink was lovely (a milk drink with fruit syrups and whipped cream). The two cheesecake slices we also bought were fantastic and very quickly devoured (about 8$ for each slice).

When we went, late afternoon on a weekday, there was plenty of seating and the cafe itself was cozy and nicely decorated. If I were in the area longer, I would definitely go back!

Nice to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather while eating delicious sandwiches and great tasting coffee. So happy we found this place and happier to find parking nearby

Beautiful and cozy coffee shop. Service was very friendly and quick. Did not enjoy the food and drink…

Mushroom Toast - bread was tough, there was a spread of hummus and an odd piece of lettuce and flavourless mushrooms. For $14+ no thank you…

Coffee - black coffee was extremely sour. Possibly the sourest I’ve ever had. Could not drink straight and had to add milk and sugar…
Had the Long Pull, basically an americano with less hot water. Store is clean and bright, high ceilings and decent enough space to sit inside or outside. Lots of food and drink options. On a busy intersection downtown, best to walk to.

Absolutely delicious sandwiches, stellar espresso, and lovely atmosphere. Extra kudos for the Latin American goodies selection. We were thrilled to find Salsa Lizano here!

Cute neighborhood coffee shop/pantry, good for espressos. You can get an Americano on ice if you’re looking for something black and chilled. Friendly staff. Warm atmosphere with the regulars chatting to each other.
I like Trees (a little too much) and I go to the one on Granville street a lot because it’s close to where I live.  Trees on Davie Street is another one of those coffee shops that I "usually" walk by all the time but rarely stop.  However, when I do stop here it’s a good experience.

Trees Organic on Davie Street has a very Davie Street vibe.  I can’t really describe it exactly, but it’s kind of a vintage vibe.  Like I was having coffee in someone’s kitchen.  The focus seems to be on people, rather than interior design.  Which is a bold marketing decision.  My pictures don't really do it justice. But if you come here you'll feel what I mean.

The staff are super friendly, so that really helps to set the tone.  I like coming here because I know what to expect.  In a world that is getting weirder by the day, it’s nice to have a place to go where you can feel safe and relaxed.

Wifi is good.  It’s not a big coffee shop but the seating is comfy, practical, and solid.  There are big bright windows up front that afford a good view of Davie Street, if you like to people watch.  Wifi is good, coffee is good, and like all Trees Organic Coffee Shops the chocolate croissants and the ham & cheese croissants, are also good.  I’ve never tried the wide selection of cheese cakes which they are well known for.  But they seem quite popular.
Decent coffee. Latte was tasty enough and we were happy with it. Cafe is specious with enough room between tables . The interior design is nice, decorated by plants and lights. Staff are nice and friendly. Didn’t try any pastries yet. Will be back soon
Update: pastries are fresh few time I tried. Almond croissant is my favourite
It's a good option for studying, quiet and clean. Coffee was good. Some of the tables are not stabled (rocking) so we couldn't use them for reading or working with computer. Staff are nice

Tiny little cafe and Latin market (mostly snacks and sauces) tucked into a mostly residential area, but it’s full of character. The woman working the front was so nice and her attitude warmed the place up. No seating inside, but four tables outside. The two near the store are small, but the two on the other side of the sidewalk have seating to accommodate 4-5 people. When I got there for lunch around 12:30 Friday, the tables were all full, but one opened up right when I needed it and things had slowed down by the time I left about an hour later. It’s a nice location to relax for a bit (if it's not busy and someone doesn't need the table). One thing to note is that they don’t have reusable house mugs or plates, everything is packed to go, but they do accept personal cups for drinks.
I had their Vegan Panini, a Tres Leches Cake, and the signature Dulce de Leche Macchiato. The panini was alright, but could’ve used more filling. I thought I could taste the eggplant, but couldn’t really see much eggplant. The mustard was kind of overpowering and probably would’ve been less so if there were more vegetables to balance it. I think their ingredients were good quality, they possibly just didn’t really know the right ratios for a vegetarian sandwich. The tres leches was the thing I had the lowest expectation for only because it was in a fridge to grab yourself and was packaged in a plastic cup, but it was possibly the best tres leches cake I’ve tried. The layering was so nice and I really enjoyed the light caramel-like flavour. The macchiato was also very good and the foam on top was cool. With a name like dulce de leche I was expecting very sweet but it was a pretty medium sweetness level. Their espresso is really good, I think even without the flavour, it’s very smooth.
I’d say generally the prices are really good. The panini ($10.5) was a little expensive for what it was probably worth because there wasn’t a whole lot of filling even though it was a good size, but the other sandwiches are similar prices and look like much better deals. The drinks and baked goods are pretty affordable compared to other coffee shops downtown!

If you are coming from the west, stay on the opposite side of Broadway and cross at Maple to avoid zig-zagging through the construction zone.
Never disappointed by the quality of the service, food and coffee here.
This place never disappoints, no matter what location I visit. The oat milk latte was perfection, the brownie was big enough to share, and the avocado toast was exceptionally crafted. Thank you for another lovely experience, Pallet Coffee Roasters!

Such a wonderful place. A real treasure. Wish we had more small, character shops like this. Great coffee and all kinds of Latin American staples for sale too! Sandwiches look fabulous too, so will be back to try one.

Totally love this place, beautiful neighbourhood, cute totally unique place, a mosaic of everything Latin both to eat or take away. So go have a coffee with a side or something sweet or savoury and take some unique groceries home. Love the Argentinian alfajores.

Today was my first time back at Pallet since March and I felt very comfortable and safe here. There was a big bottle of sanitizer at the entrance, and after tapping to pay, the cashier immediately wiped down the machine. There was also another bottle of sanitizer for the customer to use after payment. There was a plexiglass between the staff and customers. Come try their coffee and BYO breakfast. There is a variety of bread, protein, and cheese to choose from, an egg and greens included. Portion was generous for $9, very reasonable. The staff is friendly as usual, even during this difficult time.

Recently discovered Pallet on recommendations that their whole coffee beans were great.

Both their coffee, espressos and food are incredible.

For the price, if they had more or closer locations I would pick them over any of the big chains any day.
Very bright and spacious coffee place!
Good coffee and wide range of food for a coffee shop.
Note: kitchen works only until 2pm.
Not all tables are “laptop-friendly”, would not recommend for long hours of work.
Staff was not very friendly, though.

Tiny romantic cafe with great cafe and interesting interior with floor made from pennys! Nice patio front of the cafe to sit and enjoy your cafe. They also have traditional Czech honey cake called Marlenka.
Come to try it!
This was my first time to visit this coffee shop as I was working in this neighbourhood. I saw some good or bad comments about this coffee shop. I tried the other branches at other two locations. They were pretty good, so I decided to try this one on west broadway.

I came here around 1pm. There was some customers. No lineup. It was great! A barista at the cashier greeted me with a pleasant smile and asked for my order. I ordered a cheddar cheese scone and a cup of 12oz latte. They cost me $8.05. The price was average and reasonable. The scone was soft but it would be nice if a barista could heat it up a little bit, so it would be warm and fresh again. The latte was smooth and had a good balance of milk and coffee. I liked it.

The ambience was comfortable but I did not have a chance to sit, eat and relax here. Overall, I had a great experience here.
