The Tom Yam and Sesame Chicken were delicious. We were in the area and looking for something Thai and happy we came across this place. Will definitely be back if we are ever this way again. Was not very busy in the restaurant, but they were doing TONS of takeout.

I called and ordered spicy drunken noodles.
However it wasn't spicy very much or at all but more on the sweeter side. While I understand it's a family owned restaurant, they shouldn't have a kid taking orders. Because she didn't ask me how spicy I wanted it, which you can do if ordering from their site. Probably won't go back.

Everything better than expected. It is a jewel restaurant in a very beatdown ghetto neighborhood that needs police protection during closing around 8pm at night probably.

Great locally owned restaurant. Fresh ingredients. Super clean, well laid out, well-lit, and lots of live plants make this a very welcoming place.
My wife and I arrived on a warm Sunday just at the tail end of a lunch rush. Both our server and the owner came out to make sure that we knew that they were running a bit behind. It was really no problem. Like I said, it is a very relaxing place to enjoy your dining partner’s company.
The food is fantastic - the people are even better.

Small eat in place with friendly, family atmosphere. There was a lot of take out going on. Second time here and sooo good. I had the red shrimp curry and my boyfriend had broccoli and veggies with shrimp… delicious! We will definitely be back!

I normally don't give reviews, but with Basil Thai Cafe I had to make an exception. The food first of all is very tasty and delightful. The restaurant is very clean and well taken care of. The service makes you feel as if you are part of the family. The owner is so on top of making sure customers are satisfied, was actually taking care of an order that needed attention. Out of the 10 times my wife and I have dine in, we have never been disappointed. I gave 5 stars because the staff and owner truly deserve it. I recommend the drunken noodles with shrimp. Its one my favorites. Keep up the great work and we will be back soon!

This is a hidden gem. If you are looking for a unique, cozy, and comfortable place with quality Thai food, this is a great choice. Great service and ownership. Also, they add more veggies than other restaurants, which is a nice surprise. They are very good at what they do.

This place is stellar! We had awesome food but my husband had really bad motion sickness from the ride over so the chef made him a chicken soup to help settle his stomach. It was such a sweet gesture! I would 100% recommend! Pictured is the drunken noodles with their fresh, house-made noodles. It was excellent!

I've been going here for years. If you are tired of sweet, light pho and need something beefy, this is the go-to. Small, family-friendly restaurant.

Oh wow!

I can’t even begin to describe how amazing my experience was here!

First of all, Long (the owner & Chef), and Ginger (the waitress that took care of me during my visit) were aaaaabsolutely incredible.

Long went out of his way to make my dishes exactly how I had hoped to have them made.

Not only was he patient, knowledgeable, and accommodating to my vegan needs, but he also took the time to explain how he made the green curry that I ordered (in comparison to how it’s “commonly made” at other establishments).

He also asked if I wanted to try a substitute to the msg generally added to their Thai papaya salad (when I asked for mine to be made without msg), and to my surprise it was made from mushrooms—which I absolutely love! So, perfection there as well👌🏽

Now, the flaaaavors were divine! Such a colorful explosion on my tastebuds! of sweet, salty, tart, and spicy all at the same time! 🔥🤤

Lastly, the atmosphere🥹
From the decor, the music, and the overall energy was just… literally exactly what I needed yesterday afternoon/evening🙏🏽

Such a kind, warm, and welcoming place.

Clean, calm, flavorful, and authentic.

Thank you endlessly Long and Ginger for making my experience one of my best ones in quite a long time.

I will see you both again soon!

Warmly,

Kai

Ordered food for take out and was not disappointed! My order was ready much faster than estimated, the spring rolls are huge and probably some of the best I've ever had, ordered my Pad-see-ew spicy and it was perfect. The restaurant itself was very clean, and the staff were very nice.

When I come here I usually get green curry with fried rice. This time I decided not to due green curry because the chicken is always rubbery and hard like they leave it out for hours uncovered and not in the fridge. I’ve ate that chicken before being like that and I have gotten “SICK”. This time I just went for fried rice. I asked for it to be no egg due to a severe egg allergy were I go into anaphylactic shock. I make sure to tell them how serious the food allergies are and when I get my food and bring it home it had egg in it. This has happened to me a few times now from here. I called to try to get my money back due to that’s not what I ordered and they played games telling me each time I had to call back. The lady was very dismissive and rude when I tried to talk to her about the situation she hung up on me. This really could have put me in the hospital. You guys need to due better. I STILL WANT MY MONEY BACK.

My family and I went in the morning and loved that we were the only ones there. The service was amazing and welcoming. The food was great! My son enjoyed the chicken wings and cream cheese wonton. I loved the kao poun and pad kee mow 💜 Their tri-color and dessert drinks were our favorites!

Definitely going back!

I ordered for take out but I feel like I got scammed. I got Padkrapao. I opened the packaging for it to look like someone actually ate out of it or they only made a little. I paid $17 dollars just for this. I am upset.

We LOVE the food here, especially the shrimp pad Thai, mango spring rolls, and the rama spinach peanut curry. SO GOOD. Cashew chicken is another favorite. Service however is just okay, and atmosphere leaves something to be desired. It’s very clean and nicely decorated, there just aren’t ever many people dining in making it feel more like a takeout joint. Despite this, we enjoy coming here.

The boat noodle here is one of the best you can find in the Twin Cities. I always come here just for this one dish. Their egg rolls come in good quantity and also tastes amazing. Very small restaurant unfortunately so it can be difficult finding a seat during busy times. This place gets a 4.5 star in my books.

Honestly disappointed with their small servings. Got take out and if you look at my photos, my drunken noodles filled the container only half way. Besides feeling cheated by the tiny portions, the drunken noodles were just okay. Asked for spicy but no real kick. Didn't care for the slimy texture inside of the chicken egg rolls. Tri color was good and refreshing but also cost $6. Overall, very pricy for small portions. Probably can get better food with bigger portions any where else on University Ave.

With lots of choices for Thai nearby, this is a hidden gem. Fresh ingredients, cooked well, and lovely plating. Worth the money and the squeeze into their tiny seating area. I've had a handful of menu items and have yet to be disappointed. Tender chicken and beef, crisp greens and veggies, excellent noodle textures and sauce ratios. The mango in the spring rolls is a great touch!

Update 04/2024

Best Thai ever! Listen, if I could give this place 6 stars, I would! It was so good the first time I was here that I had to come back and bring my son. We drove 2 hours one way just to eat here. This place doesn't disappoint. I have traveled all over the U.S. and this restaurant has the best Thai food and Larb thay I have ever tried. The staff was amazing, and the chef greeted us, and once he heard how far we came, he had us try some of his favorite dishes. I have never received such amazing service anywhere.

1st trip: March 2024
Oh my goodness!! Absolutely delicious! Clean establishment, parking was easy, and the service was good. The food was the best I have had in a while. I ordered larb, spring rolls, and ginseng coffee. I love spicy food, and the larb was truly spicy and full of flavor! I will return here for sure! If you are in the area, it is a must try. This is my favorite restaurant in MN.

i’ve always have this issue with taking out from this restaurant. The rice is old, barely any meat, the meat looks like its old as well. You don’t get what you pay for. I the r45, what a poor looking dish. Please do better Krungthep thai. I just want my money back.
I've been going here for many years.
Food is always wonderful, flavorful, and served in proper temperature
Got takeout and it wasn’t very good. Pad Thai tasted more like soy sauce and the cheese wontons didn’t have any flavor (no chives in them). The holy basil stir fry didn’t even come with the rice! Super disappointed.

Great food. Tasty and well presented. Good service and flexible on making dietary and protein substitutions. It can get crowded at peak times so recommend reservations. The parking is mostly street side so hit or miss. Highly recommend trying it for smaller parties.

Decided to try this restaurant after driving by earlier in the month. LOVE the decor : lots of plants and it felt very cozy. Food came in a reasonable amount of time and the staff made sure our order was correct. Red curry was so good - I wish I had had enough room to finish it! Cream cheese wontons were the perfect mix of crunch and filling. Would definitely eat here again.

Pretty nice place. You need a qr scanner to see the menu which will be annoying to some people and normal for others. Had the Pad Thai and it was very good, not the best but for sure better than some other Thai places in its same area. Their spring rolls were awkward to eat and disappointing, however the egg rolls were delicious.

As a pho lover, a good friend brought me here to try something different (Thai/Hmong style) from the classic Vietnamese pho. Ordered combination pho which includes beef slices, beef meatballs and pork belly. Very tasty. Doesn’t need any other condiments besides lime or mint according taste otherwise maybe a bit too salty. Would definitely come back again.
The food was realy ok aswel the service.
Ordered a regular Coca Cola and this was a machine one badly regulated: no gaz, over swetened…
Ordered a Pho soup and is realu important the taste of the broth.
Let me tell you that this is beter on an other thai restaurant realy close by (by respect will not name it).
This why i can not rate both in the same way!
Other minus point: no wifi.
But yes founded also the real Thai streetfood taste!
We’ve been here a few times for lunch. Bathroom is downstairs. Limited parking. They do have Pho and tri color even though this is more of a Thai place. Pho is probably better elsewhere but it’s not terrible.

This was great! We were in from out of town and randomly chose this restaurant, it was phenomenal! Don’t listen to the one star reviews! I had the best fried rice here I’ve ever had here. And our server, Summer, was amazing and so kind. It was a wonderful and delicious experience!

THE BEST! Lamphai (maybe I'm spelling her name wrong) is the sweetest lady. She has run this restaurant on her own for 28 years and makes excellent food. She was so friendly and showed me all the herbs that she uses for her dishes. She piled my lunch buffet plate high with beef, chicken curry, pork, wontons, and rice, and checked in to make sure it wasn't too spicy and that I'd had enough rice. Stop by Taste of Thailand for great food and support this long running, woman-owned business!
Delicious and savory flavors made fresh! Waiter was very good and food was definitely sharable! Our recommendation is to get plates to share, you won't be disappointed! The Thai fried rice was bomb but really enjoyed it all!
Service was acceptable if I'm talking of the waiter. Kitchen was slow and separate and somewhat unattentive. Food left much to be desired but then again I did get advice on what was good.

One of the best spots for DELICIOUS Asian food. The Boat noodle is so delicious. The amount of protein given is a lot. The pad thai, drunken noodle, silver noodle dishes are amazing. I just discovered the dry noodle dish. It's now my favorite! The owner is very pleasant to be around. Highly recommend if you want delicious Asian food.
I love this restaurant! This is the only Thai restaurant I go to and have recommended their food to my family who are now lovers of their food also. I recommend trying their Drunken Rice, Pad Thai, and Tom Yum soup (with broccoli). Sooo good!!

It was not busy when we went. Waiter was friendly. Food came fast. Pad Thai was flavorful & just like how pad Thai should taste. I also ordered the steak & noodles and it was delicious too! Not too sour, not sweet but perfect blend of flavors. My husband ordered Papaya salad and pineapple sticky rice and that was very good! Papaya salad is Thai style so very refreshingly and clear (not dark like Lao style papaya salad).

Place was a little small, but we got seated as soon as we walked in the door. We ordered the drunken noodles and cream cheese wonton.
The food did take some time to arrive, but it was still warm. The noodles were soft and flavorful. Cream cheese wontons filling were also good, but the wrapper was a bit hard and overcooked. Staff was friendly and attentive. They have outside seating for warmer days.

Love the food especially the pad seaw. The chicken wings are also pretty good. So delicious! All their dishes are pretty satisfying! Customer service was great! Staff are friendly. The only issue I notice is that the place is a bit small for larger parties.
Very friendly service and the food was tasty, directions followed on the special instructions. The beef was tender and the curry, although watery, was flavorful and great over rice. My favorite Thai spot.

Edit- I went back and it’s even more delicious. The steamed mussels and Thai potato stir fry are chef’s kiss!

Place seemed okay, but to be honest as the kids would say less than mid. Food tasted decent, but decent isn't exactly good. I paid for extra noodles and dumplings and somehow managed to get the sane amount as my fiancee who didn't get the extras. I asked the so called crew and they guaranteed me I had more. I'm just not impressed with first visit. Would be willing to give another try, just not in the afternoon with children cooking.
Stopped by today for a quick bite after thtifting. Lots of takeout, we were the only dine in. Excellent service, food came quickly and was fresh. Best spring rolls ever!! I don't like when they're overly minty and these weren't. Great flavor to the meat, just loved them. Green curry also was excellent. Good flavor, nice spice. My new fav in St. Paul. My husband had pad thai and he really enjoyed it. Egg rolls were kinda bleh but overall I'm going here next time I crave it.
I gave them a 3 stars due to the fact that the portion of the orders are very small compare to the price they're charging. I order through online and then pickup. I will not order again, unless they either increase the food portion, or decrease their prices. The taste is like regular Hmong food taste from the flea Market deli. I hope this help.
This is a hole in the wall recommended by Marriott and boy was I happy. Amazing service, great food with amazing flavor. Best Pad Thai I've had in a long time. Also tried the chicken satay. And for dessert, sticky rice, never tried it before. Now a fan.

Tried this place on a whim since it’s close and recent reviews were very good. I got the Special Spring Rolls, Cream Cheese Puffs, and Chicken Pad Thai with medium spice level. Everything was amazing with generous portions. The spring rolls were probably the best I’ve had in the cities and I loved the fresh mint in them. I usually don’t like cream cheese wontons so I had gotten the puffs for my partner. I tried one and proceeded to eat the whole order. They were sooo good with a perfect cream cheese to pastry ratio. I think they also had cinnamon or star anise in them that tasted amazing. Will definitely be a new regular.
So disappointed… The Boat Noodle was super salty, it left my tongue feeling stung and dried. We didn’t get refill on water until we were almost done eating; it was not that busy as we arrived a little after 11 AM. The most disappointing and misleading was the Tam Mij Noodle. The menu stated that it comes with prawn, scallops, meatballs, bbq meat, and brisket. The dish came out with only meatballs and when I asked the guy that brought out the food he said the dish only come with meatballs. He said if I wanted seafood in my salad then I need to order seafood papaya salad. SIR! Your menu doesn’t even offer seafood papaya salad! YOUR MENU OFFERED TAM MIJ NOODLE w/ all those ingredients. This is so deceiving! Didn’t even offer to take it back and make it right but instead made some excuses that I ordered the wrong dish. If I ordered the wrong dish, please explain the description of the dish per the menu vs. the food you put in front of me. Shame on you guys!

Ordered on door dash. Nothing wrong with that part of it. When unboxing my meal there was no rice. Just the stir fry no rice. I called the restaurant and I just got young kids just laugh on the phone and saying there is nothing they could do about it. I totally understand no one would deliver just rice. But the unprofessionalism of the staff was ridiculous. But to their credit it did taste good.
Absolutely delicious. I'm in the area a lot and have never heard of this place; dropped in only because the nearby pizza place was unexpectedly closed. Had the Massamon curry and I cannot get over how good it was; the Thai Limeade made with plum sugar was so do good. Will definately be back! Food came quickly and the waiter was attentive and pleasant. Can't ask for more!

I live in California but whenever I visit my grandparents in Minnesota, I visit this place. It is the best Thai food I have ever had, and I've had Thai food in many states! The owner is incredible and does everything on her own. She answers the phones, cooks, cleans, and preps ON HER OWN! She is the only employee and she is absolutely brilliant. Her creations are incredible. She can make most dishes gluten free, vegetarian, or even vegan! I would eat anything she put in front of me. If you don't believe me, try this place for yourself. ♡

Friendly waiter. Food was decent. Very small amount of food for $45. Plum wine was really good (very sweet). Cheesecake was $8 even tho it didn't come with the mango as advertised. Could have made a whole cake for that price at home. Appetizer for 2 had 6 small items as shown.

This is a small family owned Thai restaurant that has amazing food. I’ve had the boat noodles many times and it’s always outstanding. The pad see ew is packed with flavor and the samosa are a nice starter. Check it out if you want some authentic Karen/Thai food!
First visit today 08/22/2023 for lunch and it was great! There was only one server and we were the 6th table (x2). Flavors were true Thai, delicious, and affordable!!!!!! The dining room was medium-sized, well-kept, and inviting. The restroom was clean and there was a refreshing scent. Definitely, a repeat, must-visit spot! Going back for sure to try other dishes. I'll update!!

1. Boat Noodle (7/10): Savory, seasoned well, and not overly salty. Hardly sweet at all and preferred- what boat noodles should taste like. I added only lime, chili powder, and chili oil for a hint of heat. The beef slices were very tender and the meatballs had a good bite- not overly cooked nor too soft. PREFER spice aromatics to be more prevalent-it was mild).

2. Grilled Mussel Appetizer (7/10): Well-baked small mussels with sticky sweet fish sauce drizzled on top with/ green onions. Very tasty, sweet & salty. PREFER more sauce because as it sat, the sauce got thick and began to dry/harden. Great that there were like slices to drizzle- made the dish even better with a tang.

3. Crispy Tossed Salad (4/5) Fresh vegetables with the star being the dressing. It tasted like a honey mustard, poppy, sweet fish sauce flavor. Loved it! The crispy factor was the crispy wonton strips. Would have loved cucumbers!

4. Pork Belly Pad Kra Pao (2/5): Very good taste but on the sweeter side and the pork belly had more fat-to-meat ratio. This made it just fatty in flavor and the bite was not great (as if not rendered very well).

Come early, they close at 7pm. I tried the spring rolls and the Pad See Ew. The chicken spring rolls were delicious, although the sauce had a little lingering spice, I still wish they came with a little more... the Pad See Yew was amazing, perfectly done, great flavor. If I left it in front of me, I would have finished it but I finally asked for a box to take some home. I appreciate they have a small parking lot making the visit easier.
I had the green curry. They gave me frozen peas and carrots in my curry. Flavor was still good but this is not to standard. I am put off by this.
Absolutely delicious! Some Asian restaurants have dishes that ask kind of taste the same, but not here. Each dish we ordered was distinct from the others, and they all tasted really good. The service was great, too. We'll definitely be coming here again!

Attention fellow foodies! Despite some recent whispers and outdated reviews suggesting Thai Garden is closed due to construction, I'm pleased to confirm it's very much open and welcoming guests. The back patio construction has been completed, so please adjust any reviews to reflect this.

Venturing inside, I noticed the décor felt a bit dated, reminiscent of the broader street ambiance, but let's be honest, I was there for the food. And oh, what a treat it was! The dishes were so impeccable that I contemplated tipping the chef separately for the culinary journey he sent me on. I even entertained the idea of taking some home, so I could prolong the delightful experience.

Although we dined during a quieter mid-afternoon period, the service was swift and met every need. There was a minor hiccup concerning the bathroom - a confusing setup and a lock issue my friend encountered. But that's a minor fix in the grand scheme of things.

Thai Garden isn't just a place to grab a bite; it's an experience. Their prices are reasonable for the generous portions, and it's the tantalizing flavors that will undoubtedly have me returning. Do yourself a favor and head on over; you won't be disappointed.

My order was ready for me less than 10 minutes after I paid for it. I had potstickers and an udon noodle stir fry with agave, ginger, sriracha sauce. It was all really, really delicious. Plus, the portion is huge!

I live and work within a few blocks of Urban Wok and I can order from my my apartment or office and the food is ready by the time I walk over. Whether I order lunch at noon or dinner at 10pm, the service and quality of the food is always on point.

Definitely recommend.

Got the Pad See Yew as it's a favorite of mine. Sadly here I took maybe 4 or 5 bites and was not able to eat more of it. There was almost zero flavor. Felt like I was eating over boiled chicken with plain noodles. The noodles were under cooked and drenched in a flavorless sauce. I ordered a spice level 4 and there was almost zero spice on it. I'm used to authentic Thai food making me sweat a bit, where as this I feel like I could feed to my 4 year old nephew. My coworker got the Pad Thai and had similar complaints.

This is the closest Thai restaurant to my office so a little disappointed. But with the amount of Thai restraints in the cities don't think I'll be coming back here. From looking at the reviews, I'm probably not the target demographic for this restaurant.

Update:
I didn't want to just throw away 17 bucks, so when I got home I threw it in the wok and added some fish sauce and Thai pepper flakes. 1000% better.
This is one of my favorite Thai restaurants. The food is fabulous and big portions. It's not close to my house so sadly I don't get there often. Love the Loa Green Salad. The Drunkards Noodles were wonderful their pork belly.

Family also loved the shrimp fried rice and Pad Thai.

This is our go to Thai food restaurant. The food is always fresh and we love the owners. She even grows fresh herbs for some of the dishes! It’s a hidden gem right on Selby Ave.
This is a great place for Thai. The flavors are bold and bright. I tried the curry, sweet & sour chicken and a few other dishes. I liked them all, and I do not like spicy food. All our dishes were mild and full flavor.
I look forward to returning sometime.
We waited 20 mins to be seated and over an hr for 2 bowls of pho. They left half the tables trashed from previous customers that’s why there was a wait. I mean perception is everything and if they cannot clean tables fast to seat customers, bring out food fast enough and not brining out orders when it’s not even packed then they shouldn’t be in business. FYI I have never been to a pho restaurant where they purposely water down Hoisin and Sriracha sauce. SMH… I will not be coming back here ever again.

Stopped for dinner. Got two different noodle dishes. The pad se ew was excellent! Some of the best I’ve ever had. Lots of protein and vegetable, which isn’t usually the case. The other dish, flat noodle with basil, was a little on the bland side for our taste but still high quality. The space is bright and clean. Service was lightning fast. Will definitely be back.

The best meal I've had in recent history. One of my favorite restaurants! It's a hole-in-the-wall (in the best way). The food is fresh, authentic, and bursting with delicious flavor. Very reasonable prices.

We had the Tom Yum soup with chicken (you can choose your protein, including tofu as an option), and the fish, #20. Both were excellent. The fish was out of this world; seriously one of the best dishes I've ever had. The broth was incredibly flavorful, so of course we couldn't let any go to waste and put it on the rice. It's a whole fried tilapia - if you aren't used to eating whole fish, be prepared to remove the bones as you go (very easy once you get the hang of it). It was smothered with red and green bell peppers and onions, and some of the most delicuous broth I've ever tasted. I've also had their pad thai in the past, also very good.

They ask how spicy you want your food, and since this place seems very authentic, we erred on the side of "mildly spicy," which was perfect. They also have chili oil and pepper flakes on the table if you want to add more spice.

I want to try every dish on their menu, but I don't think anything could be better than the fish. I'll probably dream about it!

You can dine in or do takeout. The restaurant is small - humble but cozy. Note that they don't have a bathroom, but the waiter said patrons can go next door to Subway to use theirs. Overall, Karen Thai is a 10/10!!!

This place was great! I'm really surprised it was so dead inside. I had the egg rolls to start. They were quite good. And the hot chili oil they had sitting out on the table was some of the best, and hottest I've had. Really great to find a place that has great hot chili oil. Had the Hmong bitter soup, and it was amazing. I'd highly recommend. A little bit spicy, had tons of meat and amazing tender tripe. Very herby with a good kick of ginger and lemongrass. Service was good, prices very reasonable for the amount of food you get. Great selection.

Absolutely outstanding customer service! Callie and Daniel were welcoming, fast, and great at recommendations. We walked in on a Friday night and it was very busy. They were hustling but still so kind.
I highly recommend checking this place out!

We were stuck downtown working at lunch and needed a place to eat. My boy Timmy, ordered the catfish and a beer. I got the tofu laap, and a tall glass of Ho2. The laap had excellent flavor, and the catfish was very good. Great service. Thank you.
My wife and I had a wonderful meal together for our date night. The tea with honey was so good on a cool rainy night. egg rolls were done more Vietnamese style than Chinese, which we loved. The vegetarian combo with chicken and garlic sauce was perfectly seasoned, and I had the beef with veggies and potatoes so good! We had plenty to box up and take home, so we would have room for the mango sticky rice dessert, which was delicious! Wonderful restaurant in the heart of the West 7th area with a great outdoor dining area that we look forward to going back to enjoy later in the summer.

I picked up takeout tonight for Dine Out for Life, and it was easy and delicious while supporting a fantastic cause!

I'm a baby when it comes to spice so I got a level one spice on #61b Thai Noodle with Lemongrass and shrimp and it was the perfect amount of spice, any more and I would have steam coming out my ears. I picked up spring rolls and other dishes to share but only got to try mine! It all looked fantastic!

Great place to stop by for a taste of Thai food. If you like asian cuisine, I highly recommend Krungthep Thai. Menu is very diverse and allows for a new experience of the same dish with each visit. You like Fried Rice? There's 6 types for you to explore and rediscover why you like it. Service is top notch, with attentive servers and almost no wait time on the meals. Atmosphere is very bright and spacious, allowing you to get a sense of what a restaurant should be like. You won't regret it, stop by.
The food was amazing and the service unparalleled! I had a few billing problems from the pos system they used. Took out a wrong amount but I called with my concern and Mark the owner called me personally and took care of all he could! Problem amended and great business done. Thank you for caring so much! You don't see that everyday! Go eat at UrbanWok because the food is great and the customer service is obviously high on their list! 🙂
Their Khao Piak noodle soup is on point. 💯 With extra slices of meat balls in it, it just hit the spot. Their service is excellent as well. Their server comes around refilling your cup of water often. I like that. 👍🏻 A+ to their servers and their kitchen staff for such a outstanding food. Keep up the good work.

This place is a hidden gem! Everything was freshly made and tasted homemade with love. The owner lady’s super sweet. She even put hot water at the bottom of plastic bag so food stays warm. The place only does takeout ever since Covid, so it’s perfect if you wanna grab a quick bite. We ordered beef larb salad and shrimp Tom yum soup. Will come support their business again:)
Great place for some Thai, Lao and Vietnamese food with more options on Lao cuisine. We had coconut noodle, Thai fried flat noodles, pho and loved them all. The papaya salad was too spicy for medium level but they did warn us. Good portion and reasonably priced. Parking spaces available next to the restaurant and you can enjoy the view of the capitol building from the window.
First time here and it was a good experience. If I have the chance to visit again, I would try other items on their menu. (I'm not from the area.)

The space is cozy, nicely decorated. Staff during our time there was attentive. It was empty coming on a Sunday right when they opened; the space gradually got fuller when we were done with our meal.

We ordered tri-color, pho combo, pork belly drunkard's noodle, meat combo Thai fried rice, catfish curry, beef pad Thai, and a to-go order of crispy pork belly fried rice.

Tri-color was the perfect amount of sweetness; a very refreshing balance with the savory dishes.

We agreed that the catfish curry was a great dish with it's sweet and savory heat pairing well with the white rice that came with it.

Noodle dishes were good as well. Wish there were the traditional extras that usually comes with pad Thai like lime and red pepper flakes, but it did not.

Overall, it was over $95, without tip. Cash tip was provided.

This is a small and wonderful hole in the wall restaurant. The owner was very engaged with us and checked on us several times. Most of us were very happy with our order, one of us who got the pad Thai didn't like the dish, but that's on us for not saying anything to the owner. Our other two dishes were fantastic. The boat noodles are wonderful, it will be hard to try something different after those. Very glad I tried this restaurant.

Our Friends next door The GreyDuck Salon recommended this Amazing Thai restaurant!!
My two sons and I have been working our way through the menu (we have been there 5x's in two weeks) and I have to be honest; as a person who never chooses a favorite anything I am inclined to say this is my favorite restaurant!
I haven't been treated to a meal or service like this since our family friends closed their Vietnamese restaurant many years ago.
This food is Made With LOVE 😘

No frills restaurant, service is great and prompt. Be prepared for the dishes to be spicy and full of flavor. They will manage how spicy the dishes are, just need to ask.

My hopes were high for this resteraunt. It had the highest ratings for local Thai food.

Upon entering it seemed a very small dining area, and completely empty. I spent a few hours here to give it a fair assessment.

The lady working the counter is very good. For some reason she was alone, answering the phone, handling diners, takeout, Doordash, Uber eats, etc. I was getting stressed watching her. Other diners came in, and no one got the follow up they should have had.

I ordered the chicken satay, massaman curry with beef, peanut curry with pork, and pad see eew with beef. All these dishes were well presented and tasty.

I had my usual iced thai coffee. Very good.

For dessert I had to flag down the front lady. She had already given me my bill and never asked if I wanted another beverage or dessert. I attribute this to her being alone, which should never happen in any resteraunt which hopes to stay above water. I hope today was an anomaly.

The sticky rice with mango was not eatable. The glob or rice had eliminated too much, possibly was made several days ago. The coconut milk nearly absent. The mango was over ripe and stringy. Possibly the worst dessert I have had in a Thai resteraunt.

The resteraunt was reasonably clean, though detail cleaning is needed next to the booths above the wainscotting. The table tops were very sticky. The bathroom was clean and well stocked, but very crowded feeling (I was alone, I refer to the floorplan).

Thai Street Market 3/5
This location is located on University Avenue and is part of a professional complex so it’s not a standalone restaurant.

Upon entering, we were greeted and seated fairly quickly. They came and brought us waters and got our orders and food but after that, we never saw them again. Service was 50/50.

Nab Vam: 5/5, so good!
Pad Thai: 3/5, it was okay.
Pho: 3/5, it was alright.

Overall, their menu is too broad and if they took it down to just some main food, I’m sure it’ll be great tasting but other than that, I don’t know if I would come back.

We did take out and personally I felt like the proportion was really little. Not a lot of basil pad ka pao and barely any Papaya salad since they added the half noodles (which was not requested). Overall taste was good but nothing special. Everything cost roughly $60

My fav dish in order:
1: wontons & thai tea (not pictured)
2: Papaya salad
3: fried rice
4: basil pad ka pao
5: catfish laab (only bc I'm not a fan of fish but my boyfriend thought it was decent)

Great food all around! It was a little small but decorated very well and so comfortable to do sit in dining. It's a perfect in-between of a casual dinner and a dress up date night. I loved the food, they served a peanut sauce with the mango spring rolls which were to die for! Overall the sauces were runnier and sweeter when compared to the stickier more savory style of pad Thai that I'm used to. It was still delicious! But I know some people have an opinion about that type of thing.

Was craving Thai Food Friday Night for Date Night & we had an amazing experience at Mango Thai - St Paul, MN 🤩 It's a super small space about 6-8 tables however it's super cozy & the customer service was amazing!
• Shrimp Tempura Pad Thai: so UNIQUE the batter of the shrimp tempura was perfect & flavorful! The pad thai noodles itself was very very soft & saucyyy✨ with fresh bean sprouts. We didn't think the fish sauce was needed at all🤗
• Chicken Tom Yum Soup: very strong lemongrass flavor which I love so much, the sourness was definetly there, so flavorful & definetly needed for the cold weather! Was salty enough to enjoy with rice!
• Thai Papaya Salad: Not your original spicy thai papaya however it was still very delicious! The waitress informed us that it's not the traditional style but I loved how extra-peanuty the enhancement was! I didn't mind, it was still very spicy and crunchy!
• Green Curry w Beef: we were craving curry & this satisfied our cravings! Defunetly warm, smooth, not too rich and the beef was tendor! Was perfect poured over rice✨
• Thai Tea: how can you not get thai tea at a thai restaurant? No where else makes perfect thai tea! 🥳

This was our first visit to the restaurant, and we were very happy with our lunch selections. The portion sizes were large and the prices were modest. We had the Pineapple Curry ($10.95) and Cashew Nut with Chicken ($13.95). We were given a very large bowl of rice along with our entrees. Overall, a great selection if you are in the mood for Thai food.
We had dinner here tonight and it was probably the best Thai food I’ve had in St Paul. The restaurant is nice, the food came quickly, and the service was great. I ordered the Tom Yum soup, and it’s now my new favorite soup. Absolutely delicious flavors and the serving size was huge! The hubby got the bustling basil and it was basically gone before I could take a bite. The drunken noodles were tasty, and the mango sticky rice was the perfect dessert to top off the meal.
I definitely recommend Thai Street Market to anyone!

The food is great, I had no problem with it. The staff was a bit underrepresented but the food still made up for it. The spring rolls were great but my favorite dish here is the Tom yum soup.
