We hired Throwback Fitness for a corporate summer outing in Connecticut. This was our first time using them and we were extremely pleased!! Jenna, Claire, and Hilary were such amazing coaches and gave our employees a unique and engaging experience. Our employees were competitive, engaged, and having a ton of fun while team building. 10/10 recommend using them!
Our leaders Winter, Andrew, and Toni were AMAZING! We had the best time at our regional corporate event. We have 6 offices that came together for this team-building field day & we all walked away feeling a lot closer to each other! The games were perfect for all of us and had a good mix of physical and mental involvement. We will definitely work with Throwback again on an annual+ basis! THANK YOU!!!!
Throwback Fitness exceeded our expectations once again during our second corporate event with them. Winter, Andrew, and Toni brought incredible energy and expertise to the session, creating a fun and motivating atmosphere that our entire company thoroughly enjoyed. Meghan and Jenna were awesome coaches for our corporate event! They found a cool, shady spot for us in Central Park to play a variety of fun games that were unique, easy to understand, and engaging for our whole group. Highly recommend spicing up your next team event by booking with Throwback.
We had an AMAZING time with coaches Jenna and India, celebrating twins' (Cory + Cordell) 33rd birthday this past Saturday! We arrived a bit early to have some bites and drinks in the park, and loved that our coaches had already arrived and started setting up our space.
Our friend group rarely does outdoor, daytime activities... especially physical ones, so our time with Throwback was so refreshing! Each game was creative, engaging, and a mix of physical and mental, so we didn't have to exert ourselves too much, for too long. We loved that in two hours, we were able to revisit so many games of our childhood, and engage in some friendly competition.
Our guests were so tickled by the end, and we're already talking about making this an annual thing (if not more frequently). Thanks for making the twins' birthday a memorable one!

Had an awesome experience with Throwback fitness, from calls to prepare for our event through execution. Throwback fitness did a great job customizing to our needs when we discussed what we were looking for, and the team day of was great! They all had great energy, were fun, and kept us organized! We saw them perform at another wedding before ours and immediately knew we needed them to perform at ours. Service was great! Ricky was early to pick us up, got us there quickly, and was waiting for us when our event finished. We had 15 minutes left on our time slot and he dropped passengers off at a second stop. Would recommend this service.

Around Town was one of the absolute best highlights of our wedding! Not just the day of but leading up to our wedding, Adam & Gaby were wonderful to work with. The dance floor was packed all night and people are still talking weeks later about how incredible the band was. They went above and beyond to perform custom lyrics to songs and ensure every aspect of our wedding went smoothly. My friends and I rented a party bus for my 21st birthday party and had the most fun time! Our driver was really nice and showed us around to all these amazing spots in the area. The party bus was also very clean, and the company was always available for any questions we had! We would so rent from them again.
Nancy and the ShimmerNYC team were great partners in planning our wedding at Blue Hill at Stone Barns! She’s detail oriented, organized and thoughtful. She made sure we stuck to our planning timeline and was on top of everything. She set us up for an amazing, stress free wedding day and we are so thankful for her and the team!!

We booked NYC Party Bus Pros for our October wedding after struggling to find the right vendor. So many transportation companies are very impersonal and just send quotes without considering specific requests (we were looking for two round trips to the same locations). Vito was receptive and INCREDIBLY fast to reply to our emails. On our wedding day, the bus was on-time, clean and the driver was responsive -- especially when we discovered there were some road closures nearby, resulting in traffic/made it hard to get to our hotel. The driver safely got us to our venue in a timely manner. Would recommend!
The Authority Band from Around Town Entertainment MADE our wedding. From our initial phone call with Adam, we knew we had to work with him based on his responsiveness and professionalism. This stellar communication was present throughout the entire wedding planning process, and everything from song selection to day of was seamless. The Authority Band was FANTASTIC and our guests were on their feet all night long. They played the perfect mixture of 70s/80s tunes & contemporary pop hits so that the entire party could enjoy and dance the night away (many of our guests had to physically take off their shoes because they were dancing so much). The band members went above and beyond, from learning the first dance song my mom sang, to finding me on the dance floor before my dad's favorite song was being performed so that he could enjoy. Our guests cannot stop talking about our band and we are SO glad we had the Authority Band during our special day — everything from the ceremony acoustic guitar, to the jazz trio, to our 8 piece band was perfection. The TriState area is saturated with good bands, but this one will stand out based on its seasoned sound and professional work ethic. Once you speak to Adam, you'll trust him and know that you will be in excellent hands. A band can make or break a wedding, but know that you'll have already made the best decision once you choose this vendor! I could not recommend more highly.
Our highest possible praise for Around Town band. Our venue and Adam of Around Town collaborated perfectly to ensure setup was quick and efficient and that our preferences (of which there were a few) were honored. Adam checked in with us the day of the wedding to confirm details and he MC'd beautifully. The performance itself was outstanding. So many people came up to us during our wedding and after to tell us how incredible the band was. We had a nine piece band and they did a phenomenal job of having someone play music the whole time. For the vocalists and band to play what felt like the entire time was so impressive and appreciated. We can't speak highly enough! 5 stars.

They helped walk us through the options for ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, and even got on the phone with me a week before the wedding to finalize how the timeline would work. We booked a pianist for the ceremony, who did an amazing job and was able to learn a song that my sister sang during the ceremony.
We had a jazz trio for cocktail hour which was great. It was a cherry on top that the night of our wedding, Authority Band blew everyone away! We booked a 9 piece band with 3 extra brass (sax, trumpet, trombone). The band catered to every request we gave them beforehand, as well as totally understood the musical vibe we were going for just from us highlighting songs we liked in their repertoire. We loved that they had such a broad range of songs, and it was incredible to have a live band that could play David Bowie, Madonna, Jackson 5, Blink182, Harry Styles, Robyn, Earth Wind & Fire in the same night. Every guest of all age ranges (19 to 60+) were out on the dance floor the whole night. Also super impressive that they do not take any breaks all night - the dance floor was always full which was super important to us. We loved every minute of our wedding and having the perfect band made it even better!

An overall very disapointing experience. The staff wasn't very invested (even though not rude ) and didn't seem to have a lot of things to do. The activities in themselves were the worst part. Indeed we only had access to 5 or 6 activities with our pass, wich were short, not very realistic and not interesting. Would not recommend.
The BEST wedding band we have ever heard!!! My husband and I have been to A LOT of weddings and without a doubt, Around Town was the best live music we have ever heard at a wedding. Music was the most important thing to us as our family and friends love to dance and party, and we couldn't have been happier. Our dance floor was packed the entire night playing songs that all generations loved. The next morning, we had numerous people tell us it was the best band they have ever heard and already had 3 engaged friends reach out for their contact info (we had the 12-piece Altitude band, but I feel like you can't go wrong with any of their bands!). Adam is who you book through and he couldn't have made the process easier...I swear he is always working and available to help answer questions! They were so lovely to work with that we ended up booking Around Town for our welcome party, ceremony, cocktail hour, and a dj for our after party. We were impressed with them every step of the way and are urging all of our friends to book them so we can enjoy them as guests!

This is a great fun for adults and families with teens. Our family had a lot of fun and laughs. I recommend making timely reservations. To owners: some of the equipment could use a bit of love. One of the staff members (did not catch his name, short hair) was particularly helpful and friendly and shared some laughs with us. We had great time.
We got one of the busses this past weekend for a bachelor party. The driver and host were both very nice and accommodating. It was always on time to get us to our locations and leaving them.

Wow. Literally...wow! Nancy and the Shimmer team truly made our twin's b'nai mitzvah celebration more special than we ever could have imagined. From her ideas, to her planning, to her ability to pivot seamlessly (thank you, covid), she kept our family and our vendors on the same page, organized, and happy!! And she did it all with a smile! Truly, Nancy is a gem. Professional. Personable. Talented. Knowledgeable. The complete package. I booked for my 10 year old the two hour unlimited package. Lacoya, Michael and Tommy had their hands full on this rainy Saturday night but they were great at keeping tabs on all the other customers who were enjoying this immersive experience. They had an ability to multitask and troubleshoot that was extremely impressive. They made the experience fun and super funny it was a great time. Highly recommended. The rock wall really was a win!
We had an amazing time partnering with Throwback Fitness for our team's summer fun event. Stacy was our main point of contact and was super responsive throughout the whole process, answering all our questions in a timely manner. On the day of the event, Helena, our Head Coach, took care of everything for us. She and the other coaches facilitated the games, making sure everyone understood the rules and even taking photos for us throughout the event! The games were fun and interactive and became natural icebreakers that don't come up in the office anymore. Everything was well thought out and well executed. We would definitely work with Throwback again for another field day!

We had the best time at Escape the Room! John was a fantastic host, he was super friendly and helped us out when we needed it and gave us hints. The rooms are the perfect balance of challenging and fun and the themes are really well done. Thank you John for making it such a positive experience!
We took the Freedom tour boat. Very organized. They sell water,umbrella and Gatorade while you wait for the boat
While the staff was somewhat nice! The set up was over rated! We spent $200 for 45 minutes and game was poorly set up! Had to change batteries in the middle of the game.

Went on a Topview cruise. Had a wonderful cruise up the Hudson. Saw the Empire State Building to Lady Liberty and back.

The trip was great however the tour guides for the chartered tour ship was very rude as we were waiting for the other guests to depart the boat and for us to board. The tour was through Viator booking. Again I loved the tour around the Statue of Liberty itself just not the crew for the boat.
Always a great time here. Have done multiple rooms and they’ve all been executed amazingly. Our clue host Drea was amazing!
I have been working with Nancy for years, and she is not only a talented planner, but she is constantly looking for the next best venue and vendors to make each event more special than the next. This was a ton of fun. The room was a cleaver set up and it really took some brain power to solve the puzzles. Highly recommend doing this with at least a group of four.
I decided to take th tourist route this year and it did not disappoint. I have been to the statue or liberty as a child but the experience when you get older is different. You can take a 60 minute boat ride around the statue or you can do a three hour tour where you go to the island. On the island you can explore or have a picnic in the park. Very good place for a date!
The place where we get on the various NYC boats and cruises. Ours was port 3. The whole area is nice with great view of the 2 bridges but could be nicer. It would help if guests can access toilets, and there are some cafes along the pier for tourists to sit, have a bite while admiring the view

Clean and safe. The ferry personnel have adequate knowledge of sailing, pulling to the pier, and watching the Captain coming down from the bridge to observe that the ropes are properly aligned and tied to the piers. During the boarding and embarking, the personnel paid much attention to the rails and ladders. Well done, guys. Shalom 🙏 🍾

It was such a pleasure working with Nancy and ShimmerNYC. Nancy has great ideas and fabulous taste and she was able to execute exactly the type of party we wanted. She also is unflappable. We started working together on my son's bar mitzvah, which we had to postpone twice because of Covid. Nancy handled everything related to rescheduling and made a stressful situation easy. Beautiful luxury Yacht with 4 floors of party space! Staff is amazing as they run a "tight ship"! Food service is quick with some delicious choices! It was a pleasure to DJ a Wedding Reception with perfect weather, AMAZING!!
Must have been a former church. Was there tonight to celebrate the 150th anniversary of my high school. Nice sized former "sanctuary" for the dining room. You can still see the former church's organ pipes. Wait staff was very attentive. Downstairs was setup for drinks and dancing. Nice split level venue for any event.
Dorit made our dreams come true, she helped us from the first day we contacted her and guided us through the entire process from start to finish. The process was so easy with the help of Dorit, she is excellent with communication whether it's text, email, or calls she answers quickly. The yacht had more to offer than we could have ever imagined. The elegance, the view, the decorations, the food, and her amazing staff are excellent. One of the best surprises was the elevator because no one was able to see me until I walked down the aisle with my father. We ran into a last-minute problem when we couldn't find my flowers girls' basket and pedals and Dorit saved the day because she had exactly what we needed in reach, AMAZING! Everyone loved it and had never experienced a wedding like ours, it was truly one of a kind. We couldn’t have asked for it to be any better, it was PERFECT!
Service was slow, and my fiancee got mild food poisoning from (we believe) undercooked pork dumplings. The food was pretty good, but considering this restaurant's higher rating in Yelp, I was disappointed.
We recently had our wedding ceremony and reception on the Aqua Azul. We had seen a couple of yachts docked in Manhattan, but we knew the Aqua Azul was the best one as soon as we saw it. The yacht is in immaculate shape and very well-maintained. We wanted to have our wedding ceremony near the Little Red Lighthouse under the George Washington Bridge. Dorit and the crew was able to accommodate this request and travel north along the Hudson River. I appreciate Dorit's attention to detail. There is a great selection of hors d'oeuvres to accommodate each person's preferences. The dinner itself was of high quality, and all our guests commented on the quality of the food. The baker Dorit uses (Home Style Desserts in Peekskill) is excellent, and I highly recommend taking a ride (also accessible by Metro North) and tasting the various options. The wine and alcohol Dorit uses is carefully chosen and of good quality (again part of Dorit's attention to detail). We chose vendors (DJ, Florist, and photographer) that she recommended. Setting up on a yacht requires some expertise, and I would suggest using the vendors that Dorit recommends since they have experience with the yacht. Finally, our wedding was planned during the pandemic. We were thankful that vaccines allowed us to celebrate as normal as possible. Either way, we knew we were in good hands with Dorit and her staff. We also cannot say enough about the staff and crew of the Aqua Azul. We had an amazing wedding. Many of our guests commented that this was the best wedding they ever attended. The views of the lighthouse, the bridge, the NYC skyline, and the Statue of Liberty were spectacular. The Aqua Azul is a special venue, and Dorit made our wedding day one that we will always remember and cherish. Thank you!
Celebrated my son’s Bar Mitzvah on the aqua azul yesterday. It was an incredible experience and everyone had a blast, especially my son and his friends which was the best part. The food was delicious - both the kids and the adults foods, from the appetizers to the main courses to the delicious desserts. The staff were lovely, courteous and unobtrusive. And working with Dorit was wonderful - she was easy to work with, very responsive during the planning stages and made sure every detail was perfectly done. Our guests loved the ambiance, the food and the joy of being on the water on a beautiful day. It was a blast - if you’re considering a party, you will love this venue!
Aqua Azul does a great job of engaging with guests and does all they can to make our wedding event "Sangeet" (eat, drink & dance) the best it can be! The staff in the dining room was exceptional. Dorit has a standard of quality and she has experience to know how to manage big gathering on a occasion. WE'LL BE BACK!! WHAT MORE TO SAY?
We couldn't have had a better September 2019 "boat wedding"! My husband and I wanted more of a party rather than traditional wedding and Dorit worked with us seamlessly to create an easy going, perfect day.
The wedding package made all the decision making so simple but we really enjoyed picking out our delicious menu. The food was outstanding. The Aqua Azul is a beautiful, well laid out yacht. Our 170 guests were easily directed between decks for our ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing. We lucked out with weather and had a warm and sunny late September cruise out of Jersey City. We left Liberty Landing Marina and went up the Hudson near the GWB and ended the cruise with a spectacular Statue of Liberty toast. Even our NYC guests were so impressed by the beautiful skyline and Statue of Liberty cruise and our out of town guests were blown away.
Our evening flew by and our only regret was not booking more time aboard! Dorit and her crew/team were such professionals with obvious experience. We loved the wedding and our guests had a blast. Such a unique and memorable wedding experience! Over a year later I'm smiling remembering the beautiful day. Thank you, Dorit!!

The customer service department, especially Jasmine Jones, is incredibly rude and abrupt. I’ve read negative reviews about her, in particular, on other review sites and have had the same experience.
Beautiful view of both NY and NJ excellent food.
A beautiful venue that we were lucky enough to just stumble upon on our way to Central Park. The place caught my eye as we walked by and I just had to peek inside from the door but that's when something amazing happened! We met James! He is a truly wonderful man with a beautiful spirit. James invited us inside and was kind enough to let us look around and give us a tour. His love for the building was contagious and he was so knowledge about its history, that he truly brought it to life. Meeting James was a true blessing.
Once inside, the chandelier, the gilded ceilings and the pipe organ were show stoppers! But the chandelier was my favorite, it seemed to come to life with the changing light colors in the room, it was enchanted.
And as luck would have it, we were treated to something extra special, the organist was there practicing during our visit, which was a beautiful treat to listen to.

Dorit and her staff were amazing. We chartered the Aqua Azul for a Rehearsal dinner of 152 people. Dorit’s service to detail made our planning process painless. If you are looking for full service delivered with excellence on food and service with amazing backdrop of the City and the Statue of Liberty, then this is your venue your guest will talk about for months! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dorit/staff and the Aqua Azul!
Really cool event space in the middle of NYC. Great location and a grand historic feel to the building. 100 foot high ceiling of the main room and a gorgeous chandelier with a 2nd floor overlooking the center of the first floor. Professional sound and lighting. Catering is also excellent and the staff is friendly and attentive.
David and his team are amazing! As a small business owner Impulse handled my event with an attention to detail which I didn't expect.
