I visited during Seattle Restaurant Week but opted to get the Feast since it included more meat. It was just the right amount of meat for one person, and a plethora of additional accompaniment so the overall value was great! The service was magnificent - not just my primary server, who was efficiently cooking meats for multiple parties at the same time, but the coordination between them all to ensure everyone was taken care of. Meats were cooked well and tasted fantastic. The front dining area is a small space and you're sure to hear some crazy screaming on the street outside, but the food is certainly worth it. I dined alone and had plenty to eat - next time the meal is best shared with at least one other person. I plan to be back again!
Their speciality seems to be lobster with very reasonable prices. My companions very much enjoyed the ceviche, although I don't care for shrimp. I ordered the chicken sandwich - presentation was excellent although the herbed chicken wasn't quite was I hoped for. The slaw was very good, sweet just the way I like it. Our server was excellent and very attentive, she clearly had a goal of ensuring we had a good experience.
Another dazzling winner from Tom Douglas! The atmosphere and service was impeccable - my server, Dave, was swiftly efficient and I appreciated his sense of humor. The attention to detail, printing custom menus to match the Paramount shows says lot about the business acumen here. Devils on horseback: three delicious bites of bacon wrapped dates, stuffed with bleu cheese, drizzled with honey = sweet meaty decadence! Blackberries were super fresh and a perfect complement. Chicken schnitzel was moist inside, just the right amount of crispy outside, and the accompanying mustard sauce divinely creamy. Assorted greens with dressings served with both appetizer and entree were more than just garnish and delicious on their own. A shot of espresso and huge piece of triple coconut pie to top off the meal, and I departed quite satiated.
Popular place - when I arrived the line to order was out the front door onto the sidewalk, but they did a great job preparing food quickly and moving people along. I ordered a salad with chicken, mixed veggies, garlic sauce, and side of falafel. The greens were fresh and good quality, chicken was good but not overly flavorful, garlic sauce was quite garlicky (recommeded). I don't typically like fresh cucumber, but the mixed veggies were seasoned nicely. Falafel was very dry, but I think it might be because they are baked and not fried - which is healthier but they are the driest falafel I've ever eaten and were difficult to eat on their own but did work well when I broke them up and mixed into the salad. I will return for lunch again because they are fast and have fresh ingredients.
I chose this restaurant based upon their vegetarian options, and I had an amazing meal. Plenty of open tables on a Tuesday at 6:30pm, and I was seated within a few minutes. My server took my order and the first dishes were served within 5 minutes, super fast.
I'm familiar with dolmathes but never tried them before, so took the opportunity to do so here. They were good, but didn't have a ton of flavor - most of the flavor came from the sauce and garnish. The salad accompanying my entree was served with the appetizer, and it was leaf lettuce and other dark greens, no iceberg, with a light viniagrette. The main course I ordered was Vegetarian Shawarma, and it took a while to come out but was super hot and fresh when it did and looked amazing. It also tasted fantastic, and was exactly the type of dish I was looking for. Rice was great texture, the mixed variety of veggies was cooked perfectly, and tahini sauce added excellent flavor. I tried a specialty beverage, 'coconut lemonade' but it just tasted like watered down soda fountain lemonade and I didn't get any coconut flavor from it.
My dinner was fantastic and the service was great. I highly recommend eating here!
