Fort Tilden is a place of beauty. Not too crowded. Clothing optional but no body shaming here. Everyone just having a good time, social distancing in groups and enjoying their choice of fun. Waves are great for body surfing and Jacob Riis is a 15 minute walk for food and restrooms. The perfect antidote to life’s current anxiety. N.B.: the parking lot is currently closed so you’ll have to walk from the Riis parking lot through the entrance with the Ben and Jerry’s
Very professional and friendly staff, interesting pieces. A nice quiet find on the east side of manhattan.
Absolutely bizarrely: the nicest and most efficient government office I’ve ever been to. I went to get a new card. I was in and out in 15 minutes. There was no extraneous paperwork. The woman greeted me warmly and joked about getting pictures taken. The staff seemed to like each other. I was out of there in 10 minutes with a full card all process complete. I took time to go back and thank the woman who greeted me in befuddled astonishment.
