It's a beautiful park at the river bend. There's a boat trolley (not taxi) ride that's free. Very short, though still worth an option to ride and see beautiful Ft Lauderdale.
A beautiful place to walk and enjoy waterfront views of Detroit and Windsor. Plenty of photo opportunities, lots of space.
They ask for a parking pass purchase. Walking, bike riding or taking the bus are alternative FREE options.

The tickets are a bit high. There are 2 islands. I buy for Ellis Island only and have to ride to liberty Island, wait more time to dock, load and then ride to Ellis Island... It's and extra 30-45 taken from the early close time.
The museum itself is beautifully redeveloped. The guided audio tour (free) is extremely helpful. There's so much history to learn. I just wish there was more time allotted to experience it.
