Came across this place on Google Maps and decided to come here for my dad's birthday. We made a reservation for 6:30pm on a Saturday for 12 people (including one toddler and 2 kids) fairly easily, the morning of. Parking is a bit of pain since it's pretty limited (there are more spots in the back) and the place itself is a little smaller than most Chinese restaurants. They split the dining areas in two though - one of them is in the back.
We ordered the $399 meal for 10 people (you don't even see prices like this anymore, it's usually at least $60-100 per person for combo meals at other restaurants), which included fish maw soup, lots of veggies, chicken, fried rice, e-fu noodles, fish, beef, and 5lb lobster. All the dishes were REALLY large in terms of portion sizes, so for the price it's really a steal. We had leftovers enough for everyone to take 2 boxes home! Not only that, but food quality and taste is actually really good. The service was actually also really great considering how busy it was and for a Chinese restaurant. I can't believe I came across this place by chance - it's truly a hidden gem!!

We were looking for a quick bite to eat at a restaurant in Richmond Hill and found Miyabi on maps. It was 6pm on a Tuesday, and there was only one or two other small tables when we walked in. Everything is a little pricey, typical for an a la carte Japanese restaurant, so don't expect to spend any less than $20-30 a person.
We got a karaage appetizer to share. I got the nabeyaki udon, which came with tempura and my partner got the yakiniku dinner. The food took a really long time to come out and the portion sizes were just okay. The karaage really wasn't worth it though. It was 4 small pieces of chicken for $11 :( They also didn't have any mayo so it was a little dry and flavourless. The udon itself was good - especially the broth - but coming with only one shrimp tempura and a bunch of vegetables couldn't really justify the cost of $18. The yakiniku was just ok.
The waitress was really nice though and I'm sure if we had gotten sushi or other fish dishes, our experience would have been a lot better. I'll opt for other options!

Manzou Bakery is one of the cutest bakeries around! Their cakes and cake cups are so cute and very flavourful, with just enough sweetness that doesn't overpower the palate. I strongly recommend their black sesame, as the flavour is very strong and pronounced, unlike other patisseries and bakeries. Definitely a hidden gem!
A great bookstore that also sells kitchen gadgets, puzzles, boardgames, and more! The entire store is very large and is typically open on holidays (I visited on Thanksgiving Monday). They have a very wide selection of books, mostly in French, though they do have some sections in English. The store is very large (two floors) and brightly lit. I do have to say it was quite humid and hot inside the store when I went - it was about 22c outside and it was cooler outside than inside....
