I am exceptionally happy that Matterhorn exists and I look forward to taking friends and family there in the future. However, the food itself is just fine. The reason it still gets four stars from me is that the atmosphere is INCREDIBLE. They had the entire bar built in Switzerland and shipped over and it shows. There is a tiny train village outside the window. You can sit in a gondola. It is incredible. Again, not the place my wife and I will be going for date night but we were already scheming the many people who would enjoy it for snacks and drinks to just soak in the atmosphere.
I’ve been hearing about Allora since they opened and they lived up to the hype! Every aspect of the meal was delicious and well priced and the atmosphere and service matched the meal and the home style feel they were going for. Can’t wait to go back for one of their dinners.
I have a deep love for the halal cart outside the court house when I’m on jury duty but…I think Pitamore may have them beat! It’s a few bucks more but there is so much customization and so many options. Plus the pitas are excellent! All this on top of having an efficient system in place that works even during the lunch rush. I loved this place and I’ll be back!
A small but beautiful little park in the heart of Baltimore. Charles Street has tons of restaurant options within walking distance and the Walters art museum is a stones throw away.
Suspended is everything that a brewery should aspire to be. It is beautiful, integrated into the community (the people who helped rehab it, did the art, etc. are from the neighborhood), has delicious but reasonably priced beer ever rotating, and the owners are the friendliest and most knowledgeable people you'll ever meet. Stop by for a beer or rent them out for an event - you will not be disappointed.
