Sunday in May is a good time to visit Beale Street, especially if rain is on the horizon. Not much of a crowd, easy seating at BB King’s and the Ghost River Brewery. Music at both places was quite good, as was the food at BB King’s. Staff at every place we stopped was great, so we had fun and didn’t feel overwhelmed.
Great coffee, great staff. Stopped by after a long day at DC museums needing some caffeine for the drive home. So glad we picked this place rather than settling for a Starbucks or mini market. Had an Ethiopian pour over and it was remarkable. The drink came with a nice barista conversation about the history of the cafe, it’s decorations and the community of which it is a part. Bonus: the cafe is in the town public library/community center. Lively and lovely place.
Very relaxing and inviting interior with some really good beers that will hit the sweet spot for most beer lovers. I particularly enjoyed the Double Vision and Block Party IPAs, as well as the Dark Matter Czech lager. Has a bar area, a number of tables and even a couple of cozy couches next to the large fish tank. Great spot for local music, as well.
