HRA

Our case worker has been extraordinary in his assistance in getting my husband and I back on our feet. He has helped go from homeless and sleeping on the streets to getting into a HRA sponsored transitional housing. He has helped keep food on the table. They have been more than helpful in helping us get on our feet. Thank you to New York City and the Human Resources department and all of the people who has made this possible.

Very clean subway station. The platform is very easily 3 stories above the streets.
Roosevelt Island

If you haven't visited the little island in the middle of the New York's East River than I highly recommend you pay it a visit, especially if you're a visitor to the city looking to experience it's wonder and beauty. The island is the absolute best place to catch a view of the New York City skyline treating you to views of both Queen's Long Island City, Manhattan's gigantic architectural marvels and Brooklyn's developing high-rises. You arrive 300 feet below the island's surface— to put that in perspective that is 1/3rd the height of a Manhattan skyscraper. So, of course there are many, many steps to contend with but they also offer an escalator which allows you to see just how tall the stairs are taking you up. It's a wonderful place to spend an afternoon or enjoy a lunch. Highly recommend.
Whole Foods Market

If you’re a budget conscious consumer than this is not the place for you. To put it quite frankly unless you gross over $200K yearly or more this isn’t the grocery store for you. However, if you happen to be lucky enough to happen inside this store it’ll seem like you’ve been transported to a utopia in the near future. The exterior and entrance of this Whole Foods consists of a pedestrian walkway utilizing green infrastructure and it is almost idyllic. Fell in love quite quickly.
