Easily one of the most underrated parks in NYC! This park is not the easiest to access, but once you manage to cross the busy roads and dangerous intersections you find yourself a preservation of the area’s industrial legacy turned into park space for all to enjoy. There’s concrete lawn chairs, picnic tables, and more. However, there is not much cover from the summer sun here. There is a water fountain and bottle refill station, too.
This is a very nice place to stop and take a break from driving! Perfect location, conveniently located right across the Pennsylvania State Line in Emmitsburg, Maryland. There are vending machines for you to grab a drink, clean bathrooms for you to use as well. This Welcome Center/Truck Stop is a long overdue addition to Emmitsburg and Route 15.
Really neat reincarnation of a classic sculpture.
There is an insanely creepy tunnel that goes underneath the Hudson River Parkway is not lit up and is scary.

I was disappointed by how dirty it is. Not to mention the Robert Moses-era freeway on the other side of the Bronx River interrupting the peacefulness of the trees.
