Absolutely stunning place to visit. A must to all the tourist visiting Thailand. Located in the province of Kanchanaburi and it’s a little over an hours drive from Bangkok once you managed to get out of it that is. A significant WWII historical site to visit. You can hop on the train from the rail station which is literally at one side of the bridge and head towards Nam Tok station which is the end of the line that was built by the captured allied forces during the war. You can walk on the bridge itself but beware of stray dogs chilling on the walk ways at night as it can be difficult to see with the lack of lighting on the bridge for pedestrians. Alternatively you can use a torch.
This ain’t “The One” Went on a Monday thinking it’ll be a little less busy. It wasn’t as big or good as some YouTubers or Tik Tokers portrayed it to be. Food was very much catered for tourists, over priced and bang average. You’re also hounded aggressively by all restaurants host to get you to dine at their place. I saw more people videoing the place than people dining. Not worth the hype. Ratchada The Street was much more better which was literally 2 mins walk away.
Only place in Scotland that actually does proper authentic Thai street food. The place is small and intimate. Has a BYOB with corkage fee and 5% discount if pay by cash.
