Inari is overrun with tourists now; thanks largely to the rise of the tourist influencer offering the same Top 5 spots to visit in Kyoto!

If you want respite from the endless parade of people this cafe on 2F above the Fushimi-inari station is your sanctuary.

With great views out both large windows you can watch the trains and pains go by, and laugh at all the clueless people running whilst the railway stop sign chimes sing!

I had the keema curry - it was exceptional and came with a little mason jar salad which was cold, fresh and crisp and has the lightest application of a citrus dressing to cut through. The curry itself was tasty and is quite a large portion.

Enjoy a peaceful kohi here with some easy listening tunes to keep you company.
Serious sticks in a relaxing room!

Might be the best Yakitori I’ve ever had. Let that sink in.

Seasoned impeccably, cooked over binchō-tan to perfection; the chicken was juicy, the mouthfuls were sublime, the beer was cold, and the service was smooth and attentive.

Came here with a buddy for an afternoon snack, we were sat, well-fed, had a few cold ones, and walked out with smiles on our faces in probably under 30 mins.

It’s Fast. It’s Furious. It’s Fantastic!

I can’t believe it’s been nearly 9 years since my last visit here; Discovering this hidden gem in August of 2013, was a significant highlight as I wandered around Kirribilli.

On that day, I happened upon an angler who was here doing a spot of fishing with his pooch, and we struck up a quick and friendly chat. He said he'd caught a few fish. I didn't want to impede on him too much so I took a few quick snaps, and bookmarked the spot in my brain for a return on another day.

Well today was the triumphant return, and I suspect as I did back then, that many people still don’t know this serene sanctuary exists. It’s a large-ish location in terms of available seating and the unobscured view of Fort Dennison gives a photographer unparalleled perspective.

If you get down there early enough with the tripod you could probably get a spectacular sunrise shot, that hasn't been done to death like every other vantage point in Sydney.
