Visited on a slightly rainy Tuesday afternoon and what an incredible experience! Barely any lines, so we could enjoy the ATV, zip line, hammock swing, underground adventure, river swim, and rafts, in five hours and with a group of 18 slow moving people! Good to know: lockers, drinks, helmets and all restaurant items are included in your visit. Not included in your visit and mandatory for the underwater attraction: closed toed water shoes, which are available for purchase on site for about $30. All in all a great day for our group, ages 8-50 plus!
We ordered a tomato soup, honey garlic naan, two paneer dishes and the Aloo gobhi. While very tasty, the spice level was pretty extreme for three out of four of us, detracting from the experience (especially since no one checked on us to offer water refills, forcing us to get up and ask for more food on our own.) the restaurant interior was pretty with a nice mix of Indian and American pop music playing, but the benches had visible rips and a big fly buzzing around was def a downer. Overall tasty food, but service could be better and interior could use some refreshing
A beautiful space to walk around and enjoy nature. Be sure to check out the greenhouses which has one of the most unique collections of succulents I’ve ever seen. Parking on site is a bit pricey, so don’t make the same mistake I did, since street parking should be available right across the street for free. Shoutout to the gift shop as well which has a fun and eclectic mix of jewelry, floral paraphernalia and super interesting cocktail and sangria mixers!
Thank goodness for my gate agent at Newark who was very helpful, but what a nightmare. We booked our son with an unaccompanied minor ticket. The day before his flight we called to confirm who was dropping him off, picking him up, and how early before the flight we could drop him off to avoid any surprises at the airport. So imagine my surprise when I come to check him in with all my documents and am told I have to wait with him until his flight departure, and if I can’t do that, then I have to cancel the service, and no one will help him at all. Also, if we choose that option, he now loses his priority boarding and will have to check his bag, when we purposely sent him carry on only so he wouldn’t be stressed about retrieving checked luggage. Truly the only reason I am not in full break down mode is thanks to the kindness of our gate agent, who called to the gate agent to allow him to keep his bag. But do better, Air Canada. Make your policies clear, especially when people call ahead to clarify exactly what they need to do
Beautiful gardens on a manageable 28 acre property. While the tour is self guided the staff is very knowledgeable and incredibly friendly, and very happy to share some of the property’s history. A nice bonus was the cold iced tea served at the end of the tour!
