Great place to explore some of the pioneers from Austin's history final resting place. Austin was founded by a silver strike in 1862. Thousands flocked to Austin turning it into a major boom town. This cemetery is a silent place to pay respects to the people who founded one of the great silver towns of the old west.
The cemetery is easy to find as it is located right on Highway 50 on the west side of Austin town limits.

Great location with amazing views of downtown Seattle and the Puget Sound. Parking below but you can walk to most downtown shopping and attractions from this location.
One of our favourite hikes to do if you want a shorten version to get to the top of Jocelyn Hill. Awesome views of the entire South Vancouver Island region. Expect to bank about 90 minutes round trip. Should have proper foot wear and expect some steep sections. Wet weather can make some areas slippery.
We hike this mountain a lot throughout the year. Amazing views of Victoria, Sooke Hills, Olympic Mountains and the Juan de Fuca Strait. Bank on 60 minutes round trip from the parking lot to the summit and back.
