I don't know who initiated or started this, but it's great. The chai has a unique taste, and they offer it hot, which is really great. The kulfi shop in front of the chai shop is also fantastic. Many people come here to enjoy this place. Whatever taste they provide for locals at a reasonable price is really nice. I strongly recommend many Sinhalese tourists to visit Kattankudi and enjoy its unique culture and cuisine.
The size difference between the old Royal Palace and the Temple of the Tooth Relic might be due to historical changes, including potential destruction or alterations over time. It's possible that sections of the old palace were destroyed or modified during different periods. Additionally, noble leaders' houses may have been expanded or renovated separately, contributing to variations in size and attractiveness. Historical events and architectural decisions could account for these differences in scale and appearance.
We visited this charming restaurant for dinner. Upon arrival, we were delighted to discover that they offer complementary papadam and a delicious soup (rasam)☕️ . The menu boasted a wide array of food options, but I highly recommend trying their Fish 🐟 Pittu with eggplant 🍆 curry. The desserts were equally impressive, with standout choices like tiramisu and chocolate brownies. While the mutton dish was on the pricier side, it didn't quite live up to my expectations in terms of uniqueness or flavor. However, the service was exceptionally prompt, and an added bonus was the convenient parking available in the Hotel Renuka's park area.
