During our Ross island visit our driver recommended this restaurant to us so that we can try some seafood. And I was glad that we took his advice and had our lunch as well as dinner here.
The ambience is very simple. A non-ac restaurant with adequate sitting arrangement. Service is good and staffs are professional in their approach. Seafoods like crabs(live), fish, prawns, squids are available here. We ordered plain rice, prawn curry, fish fry as our lunch. While in dinner we had mixed fried rice and chilly chicken. Prawn curry was spicy and delicious while fish fry served as a good starter. We were completed satisfied with the lunch. Along with these foods we also had lemonade which acted as a refreshment to the hot weather.
Overall I loved eating here.

This small, comfortable and cozy cafe has the most simple but beautiful ambience in this part of Newtown. Its good for spending some quality time along with having some coffee.
This is for the first time I visited here for my morning coffee. It was around 11:00 AM and the cafe was completely empty. Even we could not find the staffs. After sometime a staff showed up and we ordered a cold coffee and a latte.
Honestly the latte could have been way better. The milk and coffee ratio was not as per the requirement. I could feel the taste of milk more where as the flavour of coffee was very minimum, i.e. excessive milk was poured. As a result it disrupted the actual taste.
Service was good, but the coffee quality needs to be improved.

This cafe is basically a hangout zone for friends and especially for those who like to smoke and have some chai. I had been to this place only once and I think there is much room for improvement.
It is self service so I there is nothing much to talk about their service. Ambience is quite dull.

The name itself says that Biryani is their signature dish. But I was a bit dissatisfied with the quality of biryani.
First let me explain about the ambience. Once you enter the dining hall you will see different paintings of Mughal Emperors and Mughal era markers and architectures. This adds up a special kind of vibe to the restaurant. Dining hall is small but the paintings as well as designs on the wall gives a good ambience.
Considering the above paintings I thought that there would be North Indian Biryani like Awadhi/Lucknow Biryani or Moradabadi Biryani. Instead Bengali Biryani is available. I kind of like Bengali Biryani, but here the quality was not good. Taste was completely bland and it was like eating a rice mixed with turmeric powder. There was no flavour of spices and also the salt concentration was a bit more than required. Chicken pieces in the biryani was also not fresh.
We also tried Chicken haryali kabab and drums of heaven. Both were delicious especially the kabab. Drums of heaven were ok kind of and those tender kebab pieces were the only ones which I would recommend ong all those foods I tries in this restaurant.

As expected the food was delicious. Ordered Mutton curry, mutton kasa, dal fry, rice, salad and papad. Felt satisfactory with the taste and quantity. Mutton pieces were also good and the gravy was spicy and delicious.
