Daiso Japan Village

A little hard to find, but a nice store overall! Daiso is on the second floor and it's a bit of a walk from the ground floor of Japan Village. If you take the elevators up, you have to walk past the Book Off stalls. It's faster if you walk to Sahadi's Market first and take the stairs, but I don't think there are elevators there. The registers are on the far side only (away from 3rd Ave) and there are two self checkout counters. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Place is really, really small but very homey and the owner is very nice! There is a menu in Cyrillic and English although prices are on the more expensive side. We ordered the lamb dumplings and the blintzes and they were both really good!

Really busy and very good prices! Their seafood department is quite nice, although it's very crowded out front. They do take credit card.

Friendly staff, excellent Italian bread! Fast service, their bread is $2.75.
Very nice park in the middle of Staten Island. Getting to Lake Ohrbach is difficult though, as the trails are not very well marked. You'd have to go behind the picnic tables and take the purple trail for a while.
