Look up free shuttles on the website. Take one to the doc, ride 13 minutes, and your in the city. Take another free shuttle, and you're anywhere from central park to Soho.
I don't know of any parking near the Edgewater dock at all. Oh, and if you're coming from out of town, you should know that some neighborhoods that look close are up a steep cliff, so walking can be hard.
