We added this to our trip at the last minute and we were so glad we did! It's a beautiful museum and all three generations enjoyed it. We went in July and it was a respite from the heat, but we learned about Japanese history and different Buddhist sects. Beautiful kimonos, screens, samurai armor and weapons. There is also a "hands on" section and we made our own postcards! I cannot recommend this enough. Take a few hours, it's worth it!
