An organised chaos in a good way!
We came to experience bounce for the first for a kids birthday party & were quite impressed with the size, and the popularity with the community!
From the start, we were already pre-warned by the organisers (parents of birthday girl) that they are fully booked with at least 3 kids parties running at the same time on a Sunday morning, on top of the normal crowd.
Once inside, all party groups gather at a meetup area for hurdle and briefing while all kids get a free pair of socks. It was quite an organised chaos from then on, as the two lovely hosts had to chaperone and lead the whole group of over 22 kids for the next hour around the play spaces.
The play spaces were spread out and have varied form of challenges, such as basketball, dodgeball and the high dive area, so some kids were overwhelmed.
A special shout out to our host Edie, who was a super friendly, captivating and engaging young leader who clearly demonstrated her energy, passion and care to her role. A few times when some kids were overwhelmed with the crowd or the specific play area, she would proactively engage them, including leading them to play, or even carrying them over her shoulder to engage and calm them down.
Parking: A tips is to park a little further away near Officeworks as it gets really crowded and difficult to find parking during peak times.

Hong Kei undoubtably served one of the best barbecue pork wonton noodle dishes in Perth. They are famous for this local favourite and will not disappoint.
Another dish which we love is the Assam laksa with prawn paste sauce.
However be mindful that the only con would be their limited seating and you can’t make reservation during peak time.
They were packed on Monday evening at 530pm, and the hectic staff tried hard to keep up with the rush and crowd between phone orders, queue and front counter.

Palsaik is a popular restaurant in the Perth CBD for Korean BBQ, with the good food quality balancing out the sometimes hit and miss customer services.
We had dinner during the holiday season and got a spot luckily as we were early enough to get the first seating (6-730pm).
We found we had to repeat our requests for some condiments to some of the staffs due to the noise and language barriers but overall customer service is good enough as some staffs are superb and friendly, making up for the others.
The BBQ meats are great , so are their kimchi pancake and fried chicken, and overall we had a good meal.
Tip 1: the stool & chairs doubled up as storage bin for your valuables if you lift the seat cushion and expose the tube
Tip 2: no booking taken so get there early for first seating time

In the interest of being true to our experience, I unfortunately have to reflect the recent disappointing experience at this establishment from 5 to 2 stars.
My family with babies on tow came for lunch again after good experience recently.
However, the two main concerns which we picked up and agreed are:
1) Portion size reduction
The same dishes now are smaller in size, especially the fried fish wing
2) Lack of Customer service
While almost all Asian eateries offer free cut chilli to go with each main dish as part & parcel of Asian cuisine combo, the lady owner this time insisted on charging $1 for each small saucer plate of cut chilli. I did try to reason with her that cut chilli is quasi essential to go with fish wing noodle soup, & most Chinese eateries even have a self service counter for condiments. Her response was the price of chilli has soared, and she didn’t care what others offer.
Unfortunately this was the trigger for us to remember there are many more eateries worth visiting instead.
Our friends have separately shared similar experience with us after ours and commented on not going back too.
Atlas it’s a shame but we look forward to our return if they improve again.

Nice authentic Malaysian local cafe
Decided to try out this new Asian restaurant in Willetton for a late Sunday lunch & we were pleasantly surprised by our find.
We had their fish wing bee hoon soup, curry laska & black pepper chicken with rice at $10.50 each. My mum is a discerning cook and commented that the laska is authentic while my wife enjoyed the flavoursome fish wing noodle soup.
This was previously a Japanese restaurant & nested amidst a few eatery off Rostrata Ave.
Found out the owners were from Master Wong at Atwell & they only just opened earlier this month.
Nice & friendly service, and they happily accommodated us finishing our dining past their closing time of 230pm.
Will come back to try the other dishes soon.
Keep up the good work.
