Stopped by to check out a Minnesotan vinery. Its a small mom and pop place. The hosts were super friendly and the greyhound they had was a little shy. But it was a nice relaxing stop on my way touring the mighty Mississippi river.

Large complex of stores selling mostly Lao/Thai/Hmong stuff. The outdoor fresh produce market was awesome, showcasing plants and herbs from SouthEast Asia but were actually fresh and grown locally.

Stopped in for a drink and to take in the evening view. Nice place to relax. Drinks are not that expensive although they dont have happy hrs. Bar tender is happy to make you drinks that are not on the menu

Came in at 6pm and wanted to do their LV omakase. Was told they dont do that anymore but only have one omakase at 225$ pax. Looked at the happy hr menu but kept coming back to the omakase. I think I made the right choice. Make sure you have at least a couple of hrs to fully enjoy the experience. Once you have settled on the omakase, they might elect to ask if you would like to sit the at sushi bar or move to a more comfortable table to your liking. You get introduced to the sushi chefs and the journey begins. omg what a degustation experience. From the very first dish to the last dessert everything was delicious and perfectly paired, in harmony with each other and the evening experience just kept getting better. There were some dishes I liked more, hokkaido scallops, the uni on tofu skin and the raw octopus which had a very different taste and texture to the normal preboiled octopus. Did i leave hungry? Nope I was so full I almost could not finish the tiramisu dessert. Almost....

Place was packed when we got there but cleared out quickly. Even then food was ordered and came quickly. The papaya salad was good and the Khao Soi was decent and quite authentic. In fact all the dishes were pretty authentic. The papaya salad was Lao/Issan style with the preserved crab. The way i like it :-) Garlic ribs was delicious to munch on. The sake drinks were not so good although they were cheap. One was supposed to a lemonade but both were alcoholic. Lucky i caught it before the kid quaffed it.
