Ambience was nice but the food (we had the tagliatelle with asparagus and a mushroom pesto pasta) was rather bland.

Service... Well it depends. The waiters were really attentive to most customers, but we were mostly ignored. We tried to get the attention of the waiters many times but it felt like they were intentionally looking away every time they passed by our table.

In fact, a couple (God bless them!) seated at a nearby table noticed that we had been waiting for a very long time and brought this to the attention of the waiter serving them. They asked for two more wine glasses and informed their waiter that they would like to share their carafe of red wine with us because they noticed that we had been waiting really long for any form of service. Only then did a waiter come to get our order.

I won't go into more details but suffice to say, service remained really slow.

The only positive thing from this experience really, was meeting the wonderful couple (we happened to meet them on the way back to our hotel and had a lovely chat with them).
