So wish it was better. We've been there a few times, and not much has changed over the past 3-4 years. I spoke to a woman who said that years ago, it was amazing. With updated exhibits, a caretaker for the animals, a real gift shop, etc... She said they used to have fundraisers regularly as well. Seems that whoever manages the facility has not put much effort in the place for quite some time. Wilson could use a nicer place.
Now, it just seems sad, dark, and with little to no money used for updates. The reptile area, although signs say sorry for the mess, never seem to really change. I feel sorry for all the snakes, turtles, and lizards.
Hoping for some improvements, but doesn't look like that is going to happen.
We have the annual membership, but after this year I think we won't be renewing.
Too bad.
