Super cute little spot. Our little guy enjoyed it. It’s mom & pop, but is a fun thing to look through and learn.

So wish it was better. We've been there a few times, and not much has changed over the past 3-4 years. I spoke to a woman who said that years ago, it was amazing. With updated exhibits, a caretaker for the animals, a real gift shop, etc... She said they used to have fundraisers regularly as well. Seems that whoever manages the facility has not put much effort in the place for quite some time. Wilson could use a nicer place.
Now, it just seems sad, dark, and with little to no money used for updates. The reptile area, although signs say sorry for the mess, never seem to really change. I feel sorry for all the snakes, turtles, and lizards.
Hoping for some improvements, but doesn't look like that is going to happen.
We have the annual membership, but after this year I think we won't be renewing.
Too bad.

Nothing spectacular but a good way to kill an hour and let the kids get out some energy. I remember coming here as a kid and the place is just not the same. The race an animal exhibit was down, which was always my favorite. The animal cages are sad and it doesn't seem like much new is being added or updated. My daughter had the most fun on the first level, trying out the workout equipment.
I wouldn't recommend for middle school aged kids or older

A few of the interactive exhibits were malfunctioning, but my children enjoyed it anyway. It was on our way home from a vacation destination and we got in free with a reciprocal membership so it was worth the stop for sure.

Several things for the children to interact with but it is a very underutilized building. Should really not charge for the adults to go through as there is absolutely nothing for the adults to do here.
Several of the interactive elements were not functioning.
I would only recommend this place if you have children under 10 with you.

I have so many thoughts after leaving this place…..
So we stopped here randomly after visiting Its a Zoo Life (highly recommend!). I was happy to see a kids museum within a close distance, but a bit worried because we only had 1.5 hours to get thru it. That wouldn’t end up being an issue at all.
It was Saturday at 330 when we got there, and there was one other family there.
The first floor is the “interactive” section. It was extremely dark, which was super weird. Like they had several overhead lights but only a handful of them were turned on in the whole downstairs space. There was one spot where you could upcycle garbage into creations, a hanging globe, several workout equipment pieces (many if which didn’t work), a virtual reality station (that you had to be 7 years old to try, and a small side room with flat wood blocks. The bee exhibit was not there. And that was it.
The second floor was even weirder! There were maybe 15 reptiles in a weird circle. Their cages were a sad site. They have a massive snake inside a small cage with only a bowl of water. Their bearded dragon basically the same length of the cage it was in. Then. There looked to be a room with birds, but there was a sign that said not to go in this area. There were also several hallways and locked doors that led to nothing. It was like half the space was used for the museum and half wasn’t.
So onto the third floor…and it just gets weirder the higher we go. It’s the history section….but it’s basically empty. There’s a bench, a fake fire, a tv, a fake tree, and some pictures on the wall. Also several hallways and doors that are not actually part of the museum.
In summary….Not what I expect from a children's museum at all! Not worth the money. Very dark and eery overall. It was like someone bought a beautiful building and didn’t know what to do with half of it…so they threw in some exercise equipment and some lizards and called it a museum.
Bananas.

A fun find in Wilson! The herpetologist on the second floor was worth the visit alone. We got to see & interact with so many animals. The germ lotion and blacklight was a game changer for my 3 & 6 year olds washing their hands, ha!
