Thursdate #5: Cafe Du Roi.
Despite apocalyptic rains never before seen in this part of the world in 75 years, we manage our usual Café trek last week.
We had lotus ice cream cake (delish) and nutella crepe with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce on the side (reminiscent of the now-closed Shakespeare and Co. version we usually have which is awesome) Had the lemon mint (staple order for anything and everything), while husband had the classic mojito.
Didn’t have a chance to go to the upper levels - hopefully next time.

House of tea id part of the traditional ecperience in abu dhabi at this point , nice karak and parata and the samosas are fresh always
This place bring me back to it each time I like karak tea and paratha service is fast and waiters are so kind and helpful
Food is good. But Zero service. When we give order to deliver they dont care and did not deliver it. We never try again 👎
Here, the cafe brings very positive vibes! The food is really very good and Indira , J’ouv and Raj they give us nice service always.
The place and atmosphere was amazing. Their cappuccino was very good and the taste of coffee was strong. I ordered lazagna the taste was good but it was hot on the sides and cold in the middle of the plate. The service was not so good but i know because they had a lot of customers at that time so i would excuse them.
Their karak tea is lovely. We also had a mixed bag of pakoras, hot, crispy, and delicious.
Very nice atmosphere, great music choice , my Arabic coffee was great and I enjoyed my hazelnut proline cake .must try if you are at Alain

The food is ten out of ten for me, So Delicious, and no so pricy but for those who can't bear cigarettes; it won't be a good place to set there, the smell is so bad, That's why I always have a takeaway.

The person at the counter is very rude He is delaying order and always said sit and wait. He is not even listening to the customers. The date of order is 24-12-2023 at 11:24am my order is only 12 parathas. Not recommended because of bad customer service. Thanks

I order around 1:30pm today and 2:45 pm still my order not receive… and when I receive the food cold and hard the paratha how come you let to wait your costomer and you will send your food not fresh 👎👎👎…

This restaurant is one of the worst restaurant you could ever order from. Orders are not received properly, if you tell them not to add specific sauses inside a sandwich, they will never consider it. Hence, ordering from this restaurant is a nightmare, as the stuff is not well trained to take orders properly

This is my favorite coffee shop in al ain! Lovely customer service and the employees are all soo lovely! I ordered an iced cappuccino and the coffee is sooo good! It was 28 dhs per cup. I also ordered a plan croissant for 20 dhs. Overall my experience at this coffee shop never disappoints! I highly recommend this coffee shop!!!! 10/10

House of Tea Muroor branch was one of my fav cafeterias in Abu Dhabi and not anymore. Their chilli porotta was really good and I reccomended it to a famous food vlogger as well. But recently their service and food are getting worse Two weeks back I ordered some food and they didn't deliver the food and not responded for my calls. I called them the next day to check what happened. They explained what happened and admitted their mistake. And yesterday I ordered some food and they delivered it after 90 mins. Please imagine the condition of the food which was outside for 90 mins. They were responding like it is normal. So I have decided not to go back.

We came in with a group of people, they needed almost an hour to serve the starters. The food was full of cheese and sauce, which made it heavy on the stomach. When looking at quality and price, the price is overrated, due to portion size sometimes and the amount of cheese, cream and sauce used in the dishes, the chicken and mushrooms were hard to fine in my risotto, for example while the name was clearly chicken mushrooms risotto. That being said the waiters were friendly and tried to help as best as they could

The only negative is that their toilet is not in the cafe, but outside. The floor was flooded there due to a broken drainpipe and, in principle, not clean enough.

I had tried El Paraiso and Ethiopia from their Exclusive Coffee in their shop, and it was unbelievable. How come they can make such an amazing coffee like that

Another review for Karak tea in Abu Dhabi. This time it’s from Karak Tea Zone in Tourist Club Area Al Zahiyah. I ordered a Karak tea and a samosa. I also asked them to make me a fresh plain parata. The Karak was okay, but the samosa was delicious. Crispy outside and spicy inside. It wasn’t too oily. The parata was hot off the pan, it was buttery and soft.

& try their Paratha with Chips Oman 🤤! Best Paratha in town
We tried the egg brioche, scrambled egg with truffle oil, avocado toast, waffles and French toast. The portions was really big and really delicious! My fav would be the brioche and their Spanish late is to die for. The staff also was very lovely and we were there 3 times last month but the service takes ages. We were the only table and yet we didn’t have the attention we needed and had to step inside the cafe to call them. We also loved the scrambled egg with truffle oils which is very very tasty but needs a little bit seasonings so I always ask for the salt and pepper! We will definitely come back !

Small but nice cafeteria . Many ppl stop here to enjoy the 1 dirham katak tea . Tea is awesome. I had puffs and cutlet here . Simply loved both . Cutlet was splendid to be frank . Once you visit , chances are that you may endup as a frequent visitor. The rush in front of the cafeteria says it all. So those who haven't visited yet can go there without any second thoughts.

If I'm walking by - and this is mostly on Tuesdays or Wendsdays I purchase here a cup of Karak - which is steog, hot and very tasty - it could not be better . I love it. It gives me power for my 12 km long walk. I'm really happy to have your cafeteria here on my way from the beach to my accomodation ...

Picked up a quick breakfast Egg and Parata. 1 Saffron Tea. I have drank a lot of Saffron tea since moving to Abu Dhabi. This is the one place so far that’s made the best Zaffron tea. Exactly how I like it. Not too sweet or milky. The right amount of Saffron. 😋

This house of tea holds a special place in my heart—I've been dining here for the past 9-10 years with all my squads...in different stages of my life.... Their chili porotta and chili wrap are absolute favorites, and they bring back memories of friendly matches we used to have over these sandwiches from a decade ago. It's a must-try, offering excellent value for the price. Among all the other house of tea shops I've visited, this one stands out as exceptional. I often find myself wishing for similar establishments in other locations that can replicate this amazing taste.

A great coffeeshop for Specially Coffee. I am not going to say it is the best, but so far the best in Al Ain city. Usually I order classic coffee like; Latte, Cortado or Cappuccino. I dont like sweet coffee, but I have tried Spanish latte, pistachio latte and Ice Cappuccino topped with cinnamon. The drinks are good. When it comes to deserts I would say it is good, but some taste like plastic...
