Well kept park. The parking nearby is free during the week outside of holidays. The entry is free, but I would definitely make a small donation. There were lots of young animals who were not shy. The goats loved a good pet on the head.

A small space, hosting all sorts of butterflies, even some caterpillars (according to the signage)! There you can see all the stages a butterfly goes through, as well possibly be lucky enough to have one or two sit on you! The place itself is very hot and humid for the butterflies' wellbeing, thankfully there is a stand where you can leave your jacket. It surely is a unique experience! Reduced ticket (student discount) costed 7€. 5/5!
Really great place with a lot of animals you can pet and see up close. It's a very nice walk and the area is very pretty and well maintained. The only downsides would be that it's a bit confusing what you are and aren't allowed to feed and that one of the deers on the blue route was quite aggressive and trampled several people and a child, which I don't think is safe.

It is rather cramped and confined space that takes up to 15 minutes to walk around. Hot and steamy and it can get quite busy with other people so please make sure you wear lightly. Bit pricey but interestingly enough to get inside and admire lush greenery and abundant of plants and numerous butterflies at the same time. An entrance ticket for adult costs 9,50 euro.
Stop by and visit if you are interested in this kind of sights.

Beautiful Butterfly House! We could even experience the “rebirth” of a caterpillar into a butterfly, it was amazing. A tip of my side is to leave your jacket or jumper at the entrance racks as it is quite warm and humid in there :)

Lovely and wonderful to spend time with beautiful butterflies flapping around you. The soft sound of the waterfall with the koi made it extra special. They offer detail information on the species and even have the hatching cases on display. Worth the visit.
Nice little glasshouse with an artificial tropical environment.
Would advise you to wear light clothing inside as it's pretty hot and stuffy.
An interesting place for sure
It is very crowded on weekends
They have some species of butterflies and lovely information all around.
We got lucky and had a beautiful pair of butterflies come sit on us (this was not intentional, the butterflies just did that organically)

it was very nice but there were not so many different types of butterflies only few, also i expected more butterflies too but still it was very beautiful! i also thought it would be a bigger place. places to walk are also very narrow so i think it would be not so comfortable on the weekend

An interesting place to include on a trip to Vienna. Reasonable price, we probably stayed for half an hour walking around and looking at the various species of butterly and enjoying the plants and waterfalls. It was very hot, even in March when it was only 15c outside. There were hundreds of butterflies flying around. Some were sadly dead, not sure if this was because they don't live long or from people but, it could be upsetting for young children. Overall we enjoyed our visit. There's a free cloakroom and rest room as well.
Very nice park, great walk and animals in so called contact ZOO setup. Kids can feed them with food purchased at the reception.

Wonderful experience to visit this park. Beautifly looked after with healthy animals

What a fabulous wildlife park , animals have lovely areas for them and are well cared for. Walk through woods was lovely, just birds as company:) the exhibit with the field mice in was brilliant, could watched those little cuties all day:)
A must visit for all!
A beautiful butterfly 🦋 house 😍
Free cloakroom to store coats as it gets warm inside.
Please don't touch the butterflies - too many people ignoring the signs and touching the animals!

We went here to see wolves in the first place but got really in love with almost domesticated deers 🦌 which walking on the free range and you can feed them and pet! Kids and adults were fascinated by this close encounter.
We saw 5 wolves, all well fed and looked majestic 😍
Kids fed goats, furry cows, crampus looking rams 🐏.
Trully enjoyed our time here and got very nice souveniers on the way out.
Definitely recommended!
Loved it and so did my two 6 year old boys. It's such a miracle seeing animals and people walking alongside so peacefully, but I think this is also because animals don't feel threatened by the people at all.. our favourites were the ponies and a donkey called Felix! Thanks a lot for the great experience!

A very well-planned animal park where you can feed some of the animals, and it has a very cool playground that feels like you are playing in the forest. My kids had a great time, pity we couldn’t stay so long. It’s free but you can donate as you leave the park. Worth donating to them as it’s lovely!

Really great place to see and get up close with deer, sheep, and a lot of other animals, but the wolves were the highlight for me. We weren’t able to get any of the tours but seeing and hearing them howl was really cool. The forest area the park is in is pretty and fun to hike around- be prepared for some uphill to see everything. The eateries onsite are pleasant an clean as well.
Nice little zoo. Perfect for a morning

Some animals we could see, however the value for money was still good.

Enclosures were large and all animals seemed happy

Cool
Really worth a visit to this lovely rescue centre in absolutely beautiful countryside. The animals are really well cared for and so used to visitors they are literally come right up to you and say “hi”. We spent a good couple of hours here. If you are on a driving holiday it’s well worth looking up and easy to find with the Google maps.
Was expecting more after reading other reviews. Nice little zoo, but not much more than this. The price is very reasonable and fair.
Didn't get to eat there, so I can't say anything about the food.
Very nice zoo. I loved that the spaces for the animals try to mimic their natural environment (obviously is not perfect, but they aren’t in cages). There are places to seat in the shadow and take breaks, as well as a drinking water fountain and places to eat. You can also buy food for feeding some animals (like the goats and the alpacas).
One downside is that the signs throughout the zoo are only in german, but they have pictures of the animals you’re supposed to see, that help. Also the map can be found in English.

An enchanting park inhabited by a variety of wild creatures awaits you. Pets friendly. Among the sightings are majestic ibexes, graceful deer, elusive wild boars, vibrant grouse, and even intriguing raccoons, donkeys, wolves, and lynxes. Just a brief distance prior to reaching the wildlife park, you'll find a parking area (note that the approach involves an uphill ascent). Inside the wildlife park, a cozy bistro serves delectable yet slightly pricier meals. This destination is well-suited for families with youngsters, and the company of dogs is also permitted.
Its been a long time since I’ve visited any zoo, due to am not happy seeing them in cages and not having its own freedom. However, I was happy to see how they are taking care of animals in here. They have lots of freedom and own environment like in the wild. I feel much better knowing that they are happy. I was happy too, I have not seen this much of animals in my life. I hope ketchup is safe☺️
Very nice place to see deferant types of animals in natural habitat like. Good for families with kids. You need to spend more than 2 hours to cover all the area.
a must for families with young kids, close up to the alpine wildlife, cafeteria and picknick tables, nice views on Feldkirch. Attention: summer 2023 redirection "Umleitung" from station due to bridgework. Free but donations wanted.
Amazing place to visit! Animals are in good condition and they’re free. It is worth it to go and spend time with family/couple/friends!
It was a happy surprise. A really great zoo. Super friendly staff and a really nice setup and animals. The location also offers a great view and is beer to the castle garden.
Looking forward to come back again.

The restaurant inside is good as long as one orders stuff they make fresh (sausage, burger, nuggets)

Good place to hang out with Family. Lots to see. My main highlight was seeing the Red Panda. However, may be it was the time of the day we went. We couldn´t see some animals. Could be sleeping or so.

Very nice zoo! Many places for kids to play, eat, have fun... You have to be extremely lucky to see the leopard, cheetah or foxes though but you’ll definitely see lions, bears and red pandas. We loved hippos, zebras, monkeys and other animals, especially when you hit the right time - their lunch :-)
Wonderful petting zoo to visit in spring and summer. Tickets for adults are €9,8 (spring 2023). The owners (Reuss family) live in the nearby Ernstbrunn castle.
Very well maintained place, very sweet animals, you can enjoy the day with the animals, take children and enjoy the day with family and friends.
Great place for a day trip. Some animals walk around freely, most live behind the fences. Overall, very joyful experience.

It is a great destination for a small trip.
It took us around 3 to 4 hours in a lazy pace to walk around one of the two routes.
It was a lot of fun feeding the animals and watching the wolves.
We enjoyed the visit very much.

What’s not to like about a place that lets the animals roam free? 👍🏼👍🏼

Loved the variety of animals here. May seem strange as you walk past a long stretch of land but just press on and you’ll be rewarded with an excellent view of the various animals.

Totally enjoyed our time here
Beautiful place and very well kept. Animals are visibly happy and healthy. All the animals that are friendly are roaming around freely so we were lucky to pet some donkeys, goats and pigs that approached us. Food was amazing, the whole offer is vegetarian and vegan. We will be coming back as soon as possible

We had the most wonderful experience here! Truly a haven for animals of all kinds, many of which walk around freely and love to receive pets.

It’s heartwarming to see how well they’re taken care of and how they thrive when humans choose to protect them.

You’ll feel much richer in spirit and heart after visiting this wonderful place!

Congratulations to all those who work here!
While exploring the Schonbrun palace park you can enter a tropical jungle. It is full of exotic plants, palms and flowers. The building itself is really interesting looking.

Free zoo. You can come whenever you want. You don't have to pay for the entrance ticket. There are lots of animals too. But unfortunately when I visited this zoo, Some of the animals weren't there. I don't know where the animals went, or they are hiding because of the sun☀️, who knows.. There is also a canteen, this zoo is perfect for family recreation. You can also buy souvenir medals at the automatic machines at the zoo.
Friends of mine recommended the park, which I have never visited before. It is a spacious park with wolves, wild goats and a lot of domestic animals. It is a good choice if you would like to go out in the nature and not to bump into a lot of people. The children would have an opportunity to climbs up and down the hills and/or spend some time on the playgrounds. Really nice park!
dope, especially when high

Es gibt einen Streichelzoo, Spazierweg und Spielplatz. Für Kinder genau das Richtige.
It's a great place for families where children are able to see different animals. It's good that the animals are free to walk around. My only disappointment is that the vegan food options are not so good. I also think that a place that is about taking care of animals should avoid using dairy products because they are contributing to animal cruelty. Calves are taken away from their mother at birth so that we can drink the milk which is not meant for us. Such a place should avoid this and focus on serving food that is cruelty free.
